Scrabble House Compound: es un lugar donde se alquila una casa en Taos, que ofrece un excelente plano de cocina / comedor abierto. Esta habitación cuenta con una de 10 pies de largo mostrador de cobre revestido y barra de desayuno donde los huéspedes les gusta salir, visitar con el cocinero y arrimar el hombro para picar verduras. Nuestra refinada propietario ha proporcionado amplia zona de descanso cómoda en la sala de estar con mesa y sillas de ordenador para aficionados a la informática. Perfect ski weekend vacation home!

We cannot say enough great things about our stay at the Scrabble House! We had two sets of families with young kiddos and our grandparents. The space was the perfect layout and had everything we needed and more! The drive into town and the ski resort was easy to navigate. The property host was also so helpful and helped us all weekend. We highly recommend the Scrabble House!

Wonderful stay in Taos, the home had everything we needed and was extremely spacious for the 3 couples we had in our group. Great location in between town and the mountain! Communication was very easy with the property manager, and the space was very clean.

The Scrabble House was a great place meet. It is close to Shopping, restaurants, mountains... we enjoyed the pool, hot tub, kitchen, grill outside, and more. Plenty of room to visit, eat, and enjoy the scenery!

Enjoyable Family Time

Our family of 8 had an enjoyable time at the Scrabble House. The property manager was very helpful and responsive. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and a bathroom for each bedroom. The fenced yard worked out well with the dogs that were along. Nice location!

Great Memorial Day stay

My friends and I had a great time at Scrabble House over Memorial Day weekend. Comfortable rooms, plenty of room to stretch out, huge kitchen for cooking, and the outdoor space is amazing. Awesome views. The property manager was great to work with. This is a great vacation home for a large family or a few couples, as each bedroom in the main house has its own bathroom.

Perfect location for our family to stay while attending our grandson’s wedding.

There were seven of us in our party . My husband and I our daughter and granddaughter, son and his wife and my brother-in-law. Plenty of room for all of us and enough spaces to find some privy time. We had time to go to the Rio Grande Bridge , the Farmers Market and explore the town.

The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cooking supplies, and there are also suffucuent toilet paper rolls and paper towels. The care taker is very responsive and helpful.Two things warrant special mention. The windows in the Casita, as noted by other prior guests, should be repaired. Opening or closing them is a 2 person job, one inside and one outside. Beyond incomvenient.The kitchen counters are covered with copper metal sheeting. Very pretty, but almost anything leaves marks; especially acidic things like tomato sauce or lemon juice. Be advised to use cutting boards liberaly to minimize exposure of the surface to things while cooking.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I have held our annual reunion at Scrabble House for several years. Gary at Premiere makes the rental process easy. Terra had the place in excellent shape on our arrival. We were pleased seeing so many upgrades this year. New dishwasher, new flooring in one of the bedrooms, fresh paint in several areas, a new dishwasher, new pots and pats. These all added to the joy of our stay. Needing attention are the windows in the casita. The opening/closing mechanisms on all the windows have been broken for many years. As there is no A/C, the broken window cranks make it difficult to regulate the temperature in the casita on warmer days.

Disappointed

Property was in need of a serious pest control visit, spiders, termites, ants and a few scorpions were encountered daily. Main House- several maintainance issues including plumbing, fans, ice maker, baseboard heating units. Furniture was old and in some cases needed replacing. Guest House- several maintenance issues including plumbing and windows. In general both house needed a deep clean, floors, furniture and bedding.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We selected this property for a reunion with 5 couples. Each of us has reached the point where King beds are really a necessity, not just a preference. This property has 5 bedrooms and 5 king beds. Two bedrooms share a bath in the guest cottage. There are three bedrooms with en suite baths and another full bathroom in the hallway. Although not fancy, the accommodations are very nice, comfortable and southwestern in style. I love the copper counter in the kitchen and the large dining table. We lacked nothing! There are plenty of supplies in the cabinets, whether spices or hot chocolate. It felt like home within an hour of unpacking. Located outside of Taos, about halfway to the ski area, it was quiet and offered unlimited star gazing. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else, if I was traveling to this area, with a group again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a lousy place to rent. It wasn't kept up at all. They advertised a pool which was incredibly small. It was broken also so we couldn't use it. The guest house had both living and dead rodents in it. When we called to ask for help with it, we got no response. The bath mats were disgusting. They were old and some had dried toothpaste on them. I would certainly not recommend renting this place at all.

Family reunion at the Scrabble House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This year marked at least seven times that my family rented the Scrabble for our annual family reunion. We had nine adults this year. Plenty of room in the main house for cooking, talking, and relaxing. Great WiFi. Was able to log into the TV with my streaming account to access entertainment. The kitchen is well equipped. In the main house, the evaporative cooler worked well on the hot days we had in July. The property was clean and well-maintained. Terra, the property manager, was wonderful to work with. She was communicative and checked in on us by text message on occasion to make sure we had everything we needed. I would rate the property with five stars across the board, however the casita could still use some work. It is difficult to cool it down to a comfortable sleeping temperature (daily highs were about 90 degrees) until about midnight. There is a portable evaporative cooler in the casita and the windows have been repaired to where they open effectively. But it would be great if this situation could be improved.
