This is truly one of the nicest VRBOs we've ever stayed in. You are living in the well-equipped home of a couple who have impeccable taste and have spent the time and resources over many years to create this perfect apartment in Paris. If only all VRBOs were as nice as this! The couple are also extremely nice to deal with. Their communication is excellent and they have taken the time to create a binder with everything you need to know about the neighborhood. Stay here if you get the chance!

Overall this is a beautiful apartment in a very convenient location near the Latin Quarter in Paris. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We stayed there with our 2 teenagers for a wonderful family vacation.However, the only thing that soured our stay was a completely accidental mishap that led to a broken vase. We told the hosts what happened and they didn’t believe that it was an accident, and accused us of moving furniture that led to a small scratch on their coffee table and the broken vase. We did offer to pay for the broken vase. Apparently both were designer items, and the small scratch means the “value” of the coffee table has decreased (we did not see the scratch as we were cleaning up the broken glass). They were completely unsympathetic and could not believe that the whole thing was an accident. I would NOT stay at this apartment if you have children. The apartment is beautifully furnished. Maybe too beautifully.

Paris feel

If you want to really feel like you’re in Paris stay here! The beautiful windows that open to the green trees out the front make it a wonderful morning to wake up to . We were there during a heat wave so the windows allowed the breeze to blow through the apartment ! Great brasserie right next door for that after dinner drink and people watching . Grocery store also right next door for groceries. We walked to the Latin quarter 20 min walk easy We uber a lot too other sites as the cost was comparable for 3 people on metro etc and it was very easy ! Lots of bakeries , just a very walkable area that makes you feel like you are in Paris ! Everyone very friendly. And felt very safe ! Thank you we loved it ! Kristina zuvic

Good location in Paris

Perfect place in Paris

Had great access to the metro so it was easy to get around the city. The location was surrounded by good food and shops. It was the perfect place to rest and enjoy Paris. Hosts were easy to communicate with and made our trip even better.

A genuine Parisian home

Betty and Bruce's apartment in the 13th, just on the edge of the 5th, made us immediately feel at home. Their home is filled with beautiful artworks and unique, personal treasures. The kitchen is completely equipped for cooking, and the bedrooms are comfortable and quiet. It's a two-flight up a spiral staircase. The neighborhood was perfect: 3 minutes to Les Gobelins metro station/Line 7 which we used daily to reach every corner of Paris. It's a nice 8 minute walk up to rue Mouffetard which is filled with restaurants and various food shops. A small supermarket is literally next door, and there are two boulangeries within one block, and three cafes as well. We were confused about our location (jet lag!), but that was solved with ease with one phone call. Betty (and her son) were easy to reach. We would return in a heartbeat to this wonderful apartment!

This apartment was located in a great area. It was very easy to get all around the city. We had a wonderful time here in Paris for our first time. Would highly recommend! Betty & Bruce were fantastic hosts!

WONDERFUL apartment

Just as described. This is a wonderful apartment for a family - two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and plenty of living space. A well-stocked kitchen made making a stay-at-home meal a breeze. Everything about this apartment was perfect and convenient. There is a small grocery store next door, the metro is a block or two away. FYI for Americans used to luxury - if it's not clear from the ad, know that there is no AC (but the windows open and a cross-breeze was lovely), no dryer (a drying rack worked fine and the washer was great), and you must walk up two flights of stairs. I highly recommend this apartment and hope to get a chance to stay here again!

Amazing Apartment in the real Paris

This apartment is in a real Parisian neighborhood. It’s on a wide boulevard that is generally not that busy. Lots of opportunities for walking but there is a metro and several bus lines nearby. We found a lot of nice cafes within a couple of blocks and a few of amazing bakeries. We especially liked the bakery named Rainette. The apartment has a cozy and comfortable vibe, NOT the empty souless Ikea vibe of most places. The hosts are fantastic. They are very responsive and very helpful.

Quiet, artsy, charming, and convenient.

From the ease of check-in to the delightful interior and proximity to metro, grocery, and pharmacy, this property was perfect for us. The art and objets d’art were so enchanting—perfect if you are art or design lovers. One of us took the back bedroom because she needed a table and space to spread out her laptop—it was perfect for that. I took the front bedroom, which was wonderfully quiet and could be made very dark with the blackout curtains. The kitchen was very light and well equipped. We appreciated the two types of coffee makers—nespresso type and drip. I will book this property again the next time I’m in Paris.

Wonderful Apartment in Paris

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the two grocery stores that were close by. Having the metro one block away was also convenient. The hosts were lovely and the spacious apartment gave us room to breathe and relax comfortably. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful Paris home.

Great location

This charming apartment filled with art and other books as well as artwork and small collections reflect the owners creative spirit and make it feel truly cozy and homey. Plus right next door is a small grocery store that has just about everything you’ll need and within a block or two are several patisseries. Plus the Rue Moufftard is within easy walking distance and has many wonderful cafes as well as speciality food markets. You won’t go hungry in this neighborhood. The Metro is about a block and a half away and is a direct line to the Louvre and other right bank destinations. I highly recommend this apartment when you visit Paris.

Off the beaten path

While some people may like to be in the middle of everything, we opted for the most fabulous interior. The apartment is loaded with great art objects, art books etc. (after a long busy day in the city, we enjoyed reading and looking at all these). The street has chestnut trees lined on either side which made us on the first floor feel like we were in the middle of nature instead of in a big city. One has to take the metro to different locations but the station is close by. A supermarket is literally next door. Perhaps the one thing we would have liked (and perhaps it's there and we couldn't figure it out) is that the TV only had French stations. CNN + some other stations would have been nice. Definitely recommend this charming place!

Merci Betty et Bruce pour votre merveilleux accueil! Votre joli appartement était idéal pour nous et notre couple d’amis. Nous avons apprécié se retrouver dans votre appartement chaleureux et très bien équipé. La proximité du métro a facilité notre (re) découverte de Paris et de ses innombrables attraits. Le monop, les boulangeries et les cafés/restaurants a un jet de pierre de l’appartement étaient autant d’atouts supplémentaires.. Nous espérons revenir vous visiter dans un proche avenir et entre-temps nous recommandons fortement aux visiteurs un séjour chez vous !

Superb Parisian flat

Betty and Bruce have thought of nearly every detail for this apartment, were extremely welcoming, and had some staples in the fridge and a bottle of chinon waiting for our arrival. The apartment (2nd floor walk up) was clean, secure, well organized, and had strong wifi. It was located close to almost everything that we needed (walking distance to the metro, rue Mouffetard, and the Pantheon and a monoprix next door). We would definitely stay there again!

Excellent host and apartment!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Betty, Bruce and Martin made it easy from start to finish, they were very responsive with any questions we had. They went above and beyond when my daughter needed to see a doctor by arranging an appointment with a local physician. The pictures of the apartment do not do it justice, it is spacious, very well appointed and in a great neighborhood, two minutes away from the Les Gobelins stop on the Metro and five minut walk from Rue Mouffetard. If we are back in Paris we would definitely stay again.

Fantastic

It's hard to add anything that hasn't been covered in the previous glowing reviews. From the warm welcome by Betty, Bruce and their son Martin, to the lovely decor, to the location, everything was great. The apartment is exactly as described. We would definitely stay here again.
