Hacienda Sombrero es una casa de 4 habitaciones y 3 baños,  situada en un gran terreno al borde de la zona de Corpus Christi de Cozumel. Alojarse en este lugar significa que estará cerca de todo, pero tendra la privacidad que viene con una propiedad privada.

La mayor parte del terreno está ocupado por el amplio patio, que cuenta con una gran piscina, una pequeña zona de sombra para comer al aire libre y un montón de camastros  para todos en su grupo. Por la noche, el patio está iluminado por faroles rústicos, haciendo que el espacio al aire libre sea utilizable tanto durante en el dia como en las tardes.

En el interior, esta casa es de estilo rústico, cuenta con cuatro recamaras y cuatro baños. Dos de las habitaciones están situadas en la planta baja, mientras que el dormitorio principal y una pequeña alcoba se encuentran arriba. La Habitación 1 en la planta baja, tiene dos camas matrimoniales y un baño compartido en el pasillo, mientras que el Dormitorio 2, tiene su propio baño privado y cama king size. La habitación principal del segundo piso  tiene una cama king size y un baño privado que da a la zona de la piscina.

La Recamara 4, está situada en una pequeña habitación al lado de la terraza de la segunda planta. Aunque es pequeño, este dormitorio tiene una cama de tamaño matrimonial, esta muy iluminada porque está rodeada por ventanas de piso a techo con vista a la piscina.

La zona común se encuentra abajo. La sala de estar hundida tiene una gran TV con cable, reproductor de DVD y se abre al espacio del comedor y la cocina. La cocina a su vez, tiene una puerta que se abre hacia el patio trasero.

Si usted tiene un grupo pequeño o grande, esta casa es perfecta si quieres estar a poca distancia del mar, que está a tres cuadras de distancia, la plaza central, que está a unos 20 minutos a pie, y un montón de diferentes restaurantes, supermercados, tiendas y bares.

Clean and Comfortable

It was clean. The beds were good and location was good. The one caveat was that the pool gradually went from blue to green during our 8 day stay.

Great Location

This house and location are amazing. First Victor the property manager was waiting for us at the airport the minute we got off the plane ready to help. The house is probably 5 minutes or less from the airport so no worries about a long trip once you land. The house is exactly how its pictured and advertised on VRBO , Air Condition in each sections of the house ( and they work great) We did not know what to expect on the pool size from the pictures but I'll tell you its bigger than it looks. The house is located on one of the main Avenues of the island so lots of traffic but the noise is no issue at all, honestly in the house you couldn't hear anything so don't let that bother you. The kitchen is great size and literally walking distance to MEGA the grocery store in town. The best part of this house is the location, everything in downtown, from restaurants to shopping are right out of the front door. Plenty of place to out around the house and a nice convenient store across the street just in case you need to grab something quick. the security at the house is great not that you need to worry about anything as we found walking around with 12/15 year old kids no problem. We highly recommend this property and most likely will book soon for 2022.

Great Retreat

The home is located in a great area, has a hospital next door (no noise I heard) and a convenience store across the street (Oxxo). The pool was the real highlight. I will agree with another reviewer that while the patio area is beautiful, it is uneven to walk on so care is needed. The palapa is great and the outdoor 1/2 bath is fabulous. The kitchen was fine and we had what we needed. The AC in the living room worked great, as well as in the bedrooms. The place was charming and spacious. I'd return. It's great for large families.

Outstanding Experience, peaceful and Comfortable

This we an excellent experience. We have travelled all over mexico over the last 15 years and this was one of my favorite places I have stayed. It was very organized and easy. Lots of staff if you needed anything or had any questions they were always readily available (even on a holiday we had a question and within an hour received a response). The house is in a nice area close to a supermarket, corner store etc but the natural trees in the yard leave you feeling like you are in the jungle (with several oversized iguanas nearby). Catching a cab was easy just walk out your door. We did activities all over the island and we probably could have walked to some of the things but it was easier to cab it with young kids. The kitchen was a real bonus and well stocked with basically everything you need. No laundry washer but we took our laundry to a place around the corner and it was all done by the end of the day for around $10 (cant get any easier). We travelled as a family of 4 (2 kids) with the grandparents and the layout and rooms worked out perfectly. There was an extra bedroom outside but it is more separate from the house so we didnt use that. Fantastic walkout rooftop deck was LOVED by the grandparents and pool area deck for the rest of us. We were able to get hot water all the time (which is not always the case in Mexico). Housekeeping was daily and really detailed and so we never had any bugs (hard to not have ant problems travelling in mexico with young kids). Pool cleaner came about once a week which was also an unexpected bonus! Lots of windows and gates, doors and windows locked very securily so you never felt uneasy. Every bedroom had cupboards, drawers and storage. I would recomend this place and definitely use it again.

Excellent stay

Hacienda Sombrero was perfect for our group. The house is beautiful inside and well-maintained. It was conveniently located while not too loud. The pool was nice and well-kept, and the yard was pleasant to sit in. The cleaning service was very friendly and professional and very attentive. Victor was wonderful and very responsive to all our questions. The only possible downside was that the a/c in the living room sometimes had trouble keeping up during midday with all the in-and-out that our group had, but it was never too bad. We will definitely consider staying here again and heartily recommend it!

Great Cozumel experience

We stayed the month of April 2016 at Hacienda Sombrero. We had a good sized group so the place was perfect. Only a few blocks from pretty much everything. Nice relaxing atmosphere and great service from the staff. Victor was very helpful and always available. Just a text or email away and went above what expected. First time in Cozumel, but won't be our last.

We loved our stay, our most memorable family vacation.

We are going to write a detailed review because we travel every year with our now college age children, this was our best vacation experience. Hacienda Sombrero is gorgeous, with spacious rooms, terraces and backyard patio for gathering as well as enjoying privacy. Well stocked kitchen with a large dining room and living area, with Wifi, cable TV and music. We ended our days in the beautiful backyard pool area, with plenty of sun chairs to gather and share the day's adventures. The entire home was cool for a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the island. Perfect safe location, walking distance to great restaurants/shops and grocery store, at any time of day. We didn't rent a car because it was easy to get a taxi. Pawel provided us with valuable recommendations in advance, as a result we enjoyed perfect beach days and fabulous meals. Victor greeted us with a warm welcome and was available throughout our stay for any questions. We highly recommend Hacienda Sombrero, we loved our stay, our most memorable family vacation. Thank you Pawel and Victor!

Great Stay

The house is beautiful! Victor was the manager during our stay and was easy to contact and addressed any issues promptly during our stay! Our first morning there something was broken with the water pump for the hot water...I called Victor...he immediately had 2 gentlemen there to fix it...they worked in the pouring rain until the issue was resolved! I was in need of an iron, I asked our housekeeper Theresa, she notified Victor that I needed an iron. We returned from shopping in town and there was a brand new iron and ironing board on the front porch! Victor even assisted me with extending our rental car for an extra day! Location is just down the street east of Margaritaville and Mega (grocery store), very convienent! My husband and I both agree we will stay at this property again!
