Five stars across the board!

The condo is absolutely lovely, furnished with everything you could possibly think of and more! Clara is wonderful to deal with, always available to answer a question or offer suggestions if asked. We have rented through VRBO many times in the past, and this has been by far our best experience ever! We definitely hope to return here again in the future!

Paradise Found

We have rented condos before but this experience is by far the best we have ever had. The condo is well appointed and fastidiously clean! It is obvious the owners take pride in their home-away-from-home. The owner Clara was a pleasure to deal with and added a few special touches to make us feel welcome. The property and grounds at Sand Dollar Shores were very well maintained and the community was friendly. We loved the quieter pace of the island community, yet shopping and grocery stores were still close by. We enjoyed the great biking paths, opportunities to go fishing and shelling and, of course, the beach! This condo rental was such a positive experience for us that we hope to be returning in 2024.

The Best Host Ever

Clara is the best host ever! I have rented many properties and can say this one is outstanding. The host made our stay exceptional. Check-in was easy. She responded immediately to any questions we had. She provided additional activities/restaurants in the area. The condo is the cleanest I have experienced. The furnishings are tastefully done throughout and have been beautifully renovated. The outdoor balcony has great furniture. The view from the balcony, living room, and master bedroom are awesome. All towels/linen are quality, high-end brands. The kitchen is clean and well-equipped. The Wi-Fi and cable TV are robust. The pictures of the unit are accurate but the property is even more beautiful in person. The condo grounds/community center and exercise room are well maintained. The beach is good for walking, not crowded, and has a relaxing atmosphere.

Beautiful condo!

We have rented several properties prior to this one in FL, but this one exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival we were welcomed by the owner, Clara (one of the kindest people ever), who made us feel right at home. The condo was well-equipped with everything we could possibly need and exceptionally clean. Wonderful attention to detail throughout. Sand Dollar Shores complex is full of friendly occupants and offer many activities not found in other places. We took part in exercise classes, learned a new sport (pickle ball), enjoyed a painting class, and Friday night happy hours with newly found friends. We loved the beautiful view, private beach, and waking up to the pelicans at the shoreline. Nearby we visited the farmers' markets, museums, the oceanographic center and great restaurants. Needless to say, we plan on returning next year!

Wonderful Time - Fantastic Views!

We had such a great time staying at Clara's condo - the location and the views were truly outstanding! The unit is very clean and well maintained. It's well stocked with everything you need for your stay. I would recommend this property to anyone. In fact, we liked it so much we bought a unit ourselves in the same building!

A Lovely Home...Way Beyond a Basic Rental

The McCutcheon’s vacation home definitely earns five gold stars—from the rental process to the time we checked out. We appreciated Clara’s special efforts to make us feel welcome. After several telephone visits and email exchanges prior to our arrival, we already felt like friends when we finally met in person. The condo itself is lovingly furnished and cared for. Everything (really…everything!) one could possibly need or want is there—even sunscreen (Clara wants to be sure her guests do not ruin their vacation with a sunburn) and milk, fruit, bread, and lunchmeat in the refrigerator (in case they arrive hungry after a long trip). It is newly remodeled and immaculate. It’s on the fourth floor, so we never saw an insect. The ocean view is spectacular and visible all the way from the kitchen to the balcony. We walked barefoot along the edge of the surf for an hour and a half every morning and we never saw a crowd. The beach was always clean and we enjoyed watching how the ocean changed every day. Sand Dollar Shores is unique in that it offers lots of activities and opportunities for people to meet one another. Yet it is very quiet, which suited us well since we wanted a getaway that allowed us to concentrate on research and writing. The only reason didn’t sign up to rent next March is that it is unavailable. Clara was kind enough to let us know as soon as we arrived so that we could begin looking for a different location for 2018. The gold standard has now been set. Bill and Jean

An ideal vacation spot

This condo is a true piece of paradise! My husband and I spent the month of Jan. here; we have stayed in many places in Florida and this is, by far, the best. Not only immaculate, spacious and with every convenience imaginable, it is on the 4th floor and literally about 80 yards from the ocean. I pampered myself most mornings, staying in bed to hear the waves and look out at the surf; then to have coffee on the large balcony overlooking the private beach. Everything described is totally accurate. The owners, the McCutcheons, are wonderful hosts and attend quickly to any needs, though we had none! Also, the gated Sand Dollar community has plenty to do right there, with many friendly people. This is a real gem, worthy of all 5 stars. We'll be back!

Simply Amazing!!!

From beginning to end (which came far too soon), our stay was over-the-top exceptional. Clara, the owner of the condo was so fun to work with...we are friends now...the description of her unit was spot on, and then some. Sand Dollar Shores is this lovely, welcoming complex...so fun on Fridays to enjoy happy hour with many of the residents and guests; aerobics every morning; excellent pools and work-out facilities. All so well kept up. But back to Clara and the condo. Clara is this amazing woman who treated us more as her personal guests, always concerned for our good and well-being, but not intrusive. Her condo is stunning...the pictures do it justice, but the feel of the environment is just great. From sitting out on her lovely deck watching the waves roll in, the dolphins playing in the surf; beach goers enjoying a stroll on the beautiful beach (Only negative about the beach is it appears to be a gigantic dog park just north of Sand Dollar -I am not too much of a dog person, so dogs jumping on me instead of being on leashes made me turn and do my walking on the southern part of the beach). Location of the condo is so convenient to Jensen Beach, Fort Pierce, Stewart, and Vero Beach. Lots of excellent restaurants, museums, festivals, and fun things to do Clara loves her condo so much and you can tell from the quality of her funrnishings, the beach-y decor'; excellent kitchen dishes/appliances/etc. We had everything we needed, and if not, we let her know and she asked if we would just buy what was needed, and sh'd reimburse us. We so wish we could return next season, and would if it weren't for other plans. I know for sure this will not be the last time we are at Sand Dollar, and hopefully at Clara's condo.

Island Beauty

Hutchinson Island, Jensen Beach, Florida is so very unspoiled and beautiful. We were the first renters of this lovely unit. Welcomed by multiple fresh orchid plants (island living at its finest), and a unit that looks and is as pretty as the pictures, we were met by the owner (who can't be duplicated!) and given a personal introductory tour of the unit and surroundings. So, so clean and shiny. Kitchen is well designed/equipped and easy to maintain. This condo community couldn't have been any friendlier. So many nice things to do including 2 pools, modern exercise room with equipment, daily exercise class, yoga, water aerobics, bocce, golf (9 and 18 holes at nearby courses), bingo, movies, game night weekly, and lovely Friday evening socials. You can be as busy or quiet as you like. Nothing more beautiful than seeing the full moon from the romantic balcony or from the soooooo, soooooo soft master bedroom bed! We celebrated a very meaningful wedding anniversary while there. The community clubhouse is very large and hosts most of the activities. A lending library, games to borrow, and helpful community office staff. It is a gated community and you feel extremely safe and secure. The beach is wide, full of shells, and lures the hopeful fishermen/gals every day. A lovely place to spend time. These owners are INCREDIBLE AND SO VERY KIND. They were immediately responsive to our inquiry and made the rental process so easy for us. They thought only of our comfort. We will always remember that. Carol & Jerry L.

Excellent Communications

Unfortunately I wasn't able to book this property but dealing with the owner was a pleasure. She is exceptionally prompt in responding to inquiries and was very helpful. If all owners acted like this owner VRBO would be a much easier site to book a vacation spot.
