This property is not fancy but is very comfortable and cozy - exactly what we were looking for. Second time I've stayed here and would absolutely rent here again. Host is excellent as well.

Anniversary Trip

The host was very nice and welcoming, even going so far as to leave snacks and bottles of water to help us feel welcome. One thing I was not aware of when we booked is that the condo is located on the basement level and the host lives upstairs. It wasn't a problem, just not something I was aware of when we booked. Aside from that we had a good experience staying at this condo.

Sky Valley

The weather cooperated to make this a beautiful wedding day. Arrived a little early to check everything out. The pictures were very good of the place and had some communications problems with the phone service in the area. I had to go to the club house to get phone service to contact the owner. The apartment was very nice and was easy o settle into. Got connected to the Wifi and that made a world of difference on the phones. Too busy to rest, but it was a nice place to unwind.

Golf Trip and Relaxation

Second stay here. We enjoyed the large, well furnished porch overlooking the 6th fairway, with plenty of privacy. The tasteful furnishings gave the feel of a cozy mountain cottage. We played golf and drove to Highlands, NC for some excellent dining options. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and will certainly stay again. Highly recommend.

Memorial Day Weekend Golf Getaway

Sparrows Rest is the best! We had a wonderful 4-day stay filled with golf, hiking, shopping, and dining. Sky Valley location is close to the Highlands and Clayton Georgia but far enough away to be secluded, peaceful, and quiet. The golf course is the main attraction but there are plenty of other things to do. Sparrows Rest is the perfect place to stay so you can experience all the area has to offer.

Perfect for a family golf outing

Right on the golf course, we really enjoyed our stay. Course was beautiful, esp with the autumn leaves changing colors. Clubhouse was nice, but the pool and hot tub had closed Oct 16th for the season. The unit was clean and comfortable. Definitely has a cabin/cozy vibe with vintage pieces. The unit is a living room with one wall being the kitchenette and two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. All rooms have a door to the patio. It was about 15-20 minutes to the closest restaurants, but we didn’t mind the curvy roads into town.

Comfortable and peaceful

My husband and I met our son here for four wonderful days of golf, beautiful weather, a day at Clingman’s Dome and time together as we live in Florida and our son in Charlotte. The beds were comfortable and we slept well and spent a lot of time on the veranda overlooking the golf course. Very clean and Pamela and David were very accommodating. We hope to stay again.

2nd Stay; Golf Get-away

This is the second time we've stayed at Sparrow's Rest. It is an ideal spot for us since we play golf. The location is on the 6th fairway and very close to the clubhouse. The 2 bedrooms have King beds and separate baths. Everything is clean and cozy - perfect for our golf get-away!

The property is beautiful and the vrbo hosts were fantastic! Kitchen area is pretty small but the amazing deck does have a nice Webber grill which is helpful. We will go back!

Just What We Needed

My wife and I were looking for a quick weekend getaway during the Bear Shadow music festival. We also like to play golf and Sky Valley has a wonderful golf course. The accommodations were wonderful, right on the 6th Fairway, quiet easy to access, and close to everything we wanted to do. Thank you Pamela for providing Sparrow's Rest to us!

Great location for excursions or staying and enjoying the beauty!

Sky Valley is a hub for traveling up to Highlands NC, Cashiers, NC, Sapphire, NC or south to Dillard GA or Clayton GA. There’s so much to do at Sky valley too. Play golf, hike, visit Mud Falls at edge of golf course, play pickle ball, take kiddos to playground or just take leisurely walks enjoying the scenery. We ventured out to Highlands, Cashiers and Tiger Mountain. Dillard has a beautiful addition in Julep Farms. We love this area for its beauty, great restaurants, quaint roadside stands and so many outdoor activities. There’s a new roller coaster in Scaly- the Scaly Screamer! Fun all around everywhere you go!

Highlands North Carolina or Clayton and Dillard, Georgia. Recreational activities open all year. Zipline, snow tubing, ice skating, and now a Mountain Coaster all within a few miles from Sky Valley..,Golf too unless there’s snow!
