Nuestra casa unifamiliar impecablemente limpia, perfectamente ubicada, bellamente amueblada y totalmente renovada en Provenza está disponible para alquileres a corto o largo plazo. Tendrán la propiedad para ustedes mismos. No es un departamento o condominio.

Perfectamente ubicado para el AVIGNON INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FESTIVAL en julio. O para explorar los sitios romanos, las bodegas y los pueblos de Provenza en cualquier época del año.

La casa está en una calle tranquila, a pocos pasos del bullicioso centro de Avignon y las famosas murallas del siglo XIV. Panaderías, tiendas de alimentos y vinos, la oficina central de correos y la estación de tren, un fantástico cine de "arte", numerosos bancos, escuelas, la universidad e incluso la Ópera de Aviñón y el histórico Palacio Papal (por no hablar del famoso "pont" de "Sur le pont d'Avignon ..." fama) están a poca distancia a pie.

Los vecinos son amables y serviciales. La fuente tintineante agrega una nota relajante al patio sombreado durante los cálidos meses de verano. Y hay ESTACIONAMIENTO SEGURO GRATUITO, una gran ventaja para los viajeros que alquilarán un automóvil, y un servicio que no está disponible en la mayoría de las propiedades de alquiler dentro de los muros de la ciudad.

Nos encanta el hecho de que nuestra casa está orientada al sur y está bañada en los tres niveles con luz cálida y natural. Los techos son altos, las ventanas son altas.

La cocina abierta totalmente equipada tiene gabinetes a medida, una gama de 5 quemadores, un lavaplatos y un refrigerador de estilo americano con máquina de hielo y dispensador de agua filtrada.

La mayoría de los muebles y accesorios de iluminación son de estilo Art Deco de la década de 1930. ¡NADA de IKEA! Los colchones, las sábanas y las toallas son prácticamente nuevos.

Dos de las habitaciones tienen camas de tamaño completo; Uno tiene 2 camas individuales. Una de las habitaciones tiene aire acondicionado. En el segundo piso hay un baño grande con bañera con patas, lavabo con pedestal y ducha. El inodoro está separado. En el tercer piso hay un baño completo más pequeño con ducha. Y en el sótano hay un tercer baño cerca de la lavadora y la secadora.

Lavadora, secadora y una pequeña "cocina de verano" en el sótano con acceso directo al patio.

El patio sombreado tiene mesas, sillas y una pequeña fuente que funciona en verano y otoño, lo que agrega un toque romántico a las comidas al aire libre.

Beautiful Home, Easy Parking

This is a beautiful and obviously well-loved home. We unfortunately visited during a heatwave, and spent the majority of our time in the air conditioned bedroom as the remainder of the house was unbearably hot. Communication with the owner was excellent though, and the book they provide is full of wonderful restaurant recommendations. If you have a car, note that due to the one-way streets, you will likely get to your destination faster by simply walking everywhere. My only complaint was that although the furniture was antique and very beautiful, it was not terribly comfortable. The pillows in particular were quite flat.

Beautiful House in a perfect location to enjoy Avignon

A beautiful house full of charm and antiques close to all Avignon has to offer without having to deal with the hassle and noise of being inside the walls. We had a car and were able to park right in front and easily escape to visit nearby sites. The kitchen was large and well equipped enabling us to host a dinner party for 8 using the large extendable dining table. The outside space exudes French charm and was nice for apéritifs. Very comfortable sleeping accommodations and the laundry included a very efficient drier.

Bijzonder huis in een buurt dat goede tijden heeft gehad maar zonder meer karaktervol is 15-20. Minuten lopen naar centrum. Verwacht geen modern comfort maar wel sfeer. Je leeft in de grote woonkeuken

House in Avignon

The house in Avignon was true to its description. It is comfortable, well maintained, with a well stocked kitchen. Getting to the house is a challenge given the one way streets and Google Maps not knowing the right direction! Don’t do this at night! The host Woody is just fantastic, provide detailed information and instructions for directions to the house, area, functions within the house, local restaurants, and activities of the area. Easy details for checking into the house. We enjoyed our stay. It truly is in the heart of Provence! Thank you Woody for everything!

Convenient location, beautiful home

Great location both for exploring Avignon and taking day trips via car to nearby towns. The garage was extremely helpful to keep our rental car safe.

Nous avons eue un agréable séjour dans la maison de Woody à Avignon. Bien située aux portes de la vieille ville, la maison est confortable et bien équipée. Après une journée au festival il était agréable de rentrer et se détendre et partager un bon repas

A dream house

A beautiful and elegant house obviously much loved by owners. There are large rooms with high ceilings and good air-conditioning in all the bedrooms. It's in a great location for walking into the walled city and also convenient to the train station. There are good bakeries and a grocery within easy walking distance. The kitchen has been redone to modern standards, so it's great for breakfast and meals if you don't want to eat out. When we arrived, we had some issues caused by previous renters. The owner had someone there to take care of them in less than 24 hours. Unfortunately, the sofa springs had been ruined and that couldn't be fixed during our stay, so we made the dining table our headquarters for socializing instead of the living room. All other items were fixed. There is a convenient patio comfortable for morning coffee. Be sure to take repellant, as the "no-see-ums" are voracious. But you will want to enjoy the patio anyway.

Excellent home (base)!

Woody is a very responsive and hospitable host! It is clear how much he and his family love Avignon and this home. It worked out very well as a home base for us as we explored Avignon and the surrounding areas. Charm, character and space to spread out - not to mention a great location with parking which is very rare. Thank you Woody!!!

Charming home!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It has 3 AC units in each bedroom which was great since we stayed during the heat wave. Good location in quiet neighborhood. Woody is a good host. He responded quickly to all our inquiries.

A wonderfully quiet and elegant house

My family and I enjoyed this charming early 20th century French house which has been finely restored and is much cherished by its owners. It is in a marvellously quiet location away from the bustle of the centre of Avignon, and yet just a short walk to all its main attractions. There is a tramway nearly finished at the end of the street which will make the centre even quicker to reach. The owners have written a most comprehensive and helpful manual about all the essential details of house as well as giving excellent recommendations for shops, restaurants and activities of interest in Avignon and nearby. Negotiating the booking with the owner Woody was easy and when we encountered some problems about our travel dates he was most kind.

Gorgeous house with great facilities

We stayed a week in May. The house was amazing, clearly loved and cherished by the owners. Everything was of a high standard, ensuring our comfort and relaxation. It is an easy stroll to the old city, the Gare and every shop to support our daily needs. This also made it a good spot to launch day trips to on the bus or train - our party went to Arles, Pont Du Gard and Saint Rémy En Provence — all easy to do and highly recommended. The notes were thorough, and the recommendations all proved sound. We added some restaurant suggestions in the region. Woody was prompt to respond to emails. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, thank you

Turn of the Century Charm

This is a convenient property for exploring Avignon as well as the region of Provence. The townhome has 3 nice sized bedrooms, a large kitchen and dining area and a good sized living room. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patio space for late afternoon down time with regional wine. There is a plethora of restaurants at many price points within walking distance. We found everything very clean and in order upon arrival, even meeting the neighbors who were helpful to us.

Lovely and well loved home just outside the walls of Avignon center - very welcoming and well appointed. Beautiful architecture inside and out; house is furnished with antiques authentic to the history of the house. Hosts were so helpful and kind throughout the process; wonderful location and quiet neighborhood. Would stay again without a second thought.

Townhouse was large and fit our family well. Nice kitchen and dining area. Air conditioning unit in one bedroom only, so very hot in rest of the house. Did not care for location. Washer and dryer handy.

Moms' Getaway

This was the perfect spot for our moms' trip away from home. The home is so beautiful, and comfortably slept all 5 of us. It is a perfect location - quiet yet close to town. The handbook with restaurant recommendations was so helpful as well. Once we arrived we received an email from Woody making sure all went well. It did, it was simply perfect. Highly, highly recommend this house. Since our return we have all said how the house was part of the great experience of Avignon!

Spacious beautiful home with character !

We stayed here with 3 adults and our 3 year old boy and it was exactly what we needed! We could feel the history of the city in the architecture of the townhouse, and everything one would need for a visit was there. It was a short walk to all the tourist sites and restaurants in the city, where we spent a full day. We used the home as base to visit Pont Du Gard ( a breathtaking must do, and definitely swim in the river afterward as we had a grand time doing so) and for a wine tasting trip up the Rhone valley. The home also has a garage which proved extremely convenient. The visitor's guide book made by the owners was extraordinarily comprehensive and had a comforting personal touch. Finally, we booked the home at the last minute within 2 days of arriving and everything went perfectly. The owners were extremely responsive and kind over email - it felt like we were being hosted rather than simply renting a room. PS- if you stay here , follow the restaurant advice in the book, stay away from the big outdoor restaurants in the plazas, and make reservations. We had a particularly great experience at Fou de FaFa and would highly recommend.

The best of VRBO

Our experience at the Avignon house was much more akin to staying at a good friend's home than a commercial rental transaction. Woody sent us periodic updates about the parking and road work situation around the house beforehand, and checked in with us via email after we arrived. The caretaker came by twice to look in on us and make sure we had no problems. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, including a welcoming bottle of rose. I felt like a long-lost cousin being welcomed back into the family. The house itself is roomy in the kitchen and dining room for gatherings, and cozy in the living room which is now well supplied with lounging furniture. Bedrooms are spacious and thoughtfully equipped with fans and mosquito netting (the surrounding area are wetlands), which came in handy during our Summer nights. The house booklet had detailed but not laborious instructions, and the dining recommendations were spot-on - far better than our guidebooks. There are a couple great bakeries and small grocers a few steps away, and the bartender at the nearby Bar Du Progress, where we visited every morning for entirely passable cappuccinos (the French just can't help but burn their coffee!), clasped our hands when we told him we were leaving. We visited Avignon during the Festival, and inside the wall was a nearly in-navigable mass of people. Festive, to be sure, but a bit wearying. It was really nice to slip just outside the wall to this quiet, comfortable getaway. I can't recommend this stay enough.

We lived in Avignon from 2011 to 2017 so our children could learn another culture and another language, loving every minute. Then we returned to the US for the twins' final years of high school. Woody is a retired school administrator; Pauline, a doctor and writer.

We chose Avignon for its sunny climate, rich cultural opportunities and convenient location. The Marseille airport is just an hour away by car or train. Paris only about 4 hours by fast train. All the famous attractions of Provence are easily accessible by car. And we chose the house for its old world charm, its warm and welcoming spirit, its natural light and its perfect location.

Walk to everything in Avignon! Restaurants, markets, museums, theaters, art cinema and shopping. To say nothing of the Papal Palace and the Pont d'Avignon. And all the wineries and tourist attractions of Provence are within a short drive.
