Snow Tahoe Stay

Unit was great and well stocked for our groups trip. The multiple rooms made it easy to spread out, while the large kitchen and living room allowed for a fun group setting. Host was responsive and instructions were clear.

Good house, little overpriced

For the days we stayed there, the price was a little high. Location was about 20 minutes out. The property manager was great. Location is next to some rough houses. Great location for sierra valley, Kirkwood and heavenly as this is central for ski or boarding. Great hikes around and tubing. 20 minutes from south lake heavenly

Great location beautiful area

House was very clean and fit our needs. Listing was a bit confusing with number of queen beds. It’s 6 rooms- 5 rooms with queen bedsand a very small 6 “room” with a set of bunk beds. Again it worked well for our group, it just was confusing

Overall great home!

The whole stay was wonderful, all my family was very comfortable. My only thing is that the carpets on the rooms were very dirty, I stayed in the Master bedroom and saw lots of spots looked very dirty. Everything else was wonderful, vie kitchen, backyard and enough room for our cars.

Thank you Maribel for being this matter to our attention. Due to recent back-to-back bookings we recently had, we weren’t able to get the carpets cleaned. However, once we see a window of opportunity we always make conscientious effort to get the carpet clean all the time. In any case, the carpet recently underwent cleaning.

Very Nice for 12 of us (family)

House was excellent for our family ski trip. Only major issue was check-in. Door codes were incorrect and it took us about 40 minutes to enter. Local contact was unavailable. We were able to contact owner thru vrbo who provided access. Also, there were only 12 towels for 12 people. But, the house met all our needs very well.

South Lake Tahoe hide-a-way

The property and home were beautiful! We were there over 4th of July weekend, but were away from all the traffic and had a close convenient grocery store. The 6 bedrooms were perfect for our family. The home is well stocked and was very clean on arrival. An important addition would be a screen door for upstairs sliding door. Thank you!

My husband and I have been together for 12 years, married for 2. We have 5 kids, 2 son in laws, 4 grandkids and one almost son in law between us (14 people total) and this was the first combined families vacation we’ve taken and this home could not have been more perfect. The two families with kids had room in their rooms for the extra space needed for kids, the remaining 4 rooms were perfectly sized for the two single kids and one other couple and my husband and myself. The master bedroom was AMAZING. We had the only bathtub but it was big enough for the 3 kids (14 mos, 3.5 & 4.5 years old) to take a bath together. There is a grocery store less than 5 minutes away that shares a parking lot with Tube Tahoe snow tubing where we spent two GREAT afternoons. Downtown South Lake Tahoe (and casinos) is no more than 15 minutes away. This home had a big kitchen with pretty much everything you’d need in a kitchen and the living room, dining room and space inbetween had plenty of space for adults to watch tv while others played games and the kids did their own thing. We’ve already discussed coming back for some time in the summer at this home. Hosts responded whenever we emailed (we couldn’t find the highchair at first) and we had no problems getting in. The 3 car garage held 3 SUV’s with room to open doors. Warning - the driveway s VERY slippery if you have more than 3 vehicles. Only downside to this home was that it can be loud if you are in a downstairs bedroom. Bring slippers.

Comfortable and cozy

Nice house. We were pleasantly surprised the couches had been updated from the pictures online. The description also says the pool table is gone but it was still shown in the pictures. The host should really update those pictures to better sell this comfortable and cozy house!

Nice location, good for big groups

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend. The cabin was great for a big group. Check in process was straightforward. The cabin looks pretty much like the listing. One thing we had to deal with during our stay was a huge leak from the sink in the kitchen island dripping down into one of the bedrooms downstairs. It left a huge mess. Luckily, the property manager, Crystal, was easy to get a hold of and prompt with her responses. They sent someone to bring more towels since we had to use some to clean the puddles. The speakers in the living room were also dripping water right onto the couch. I think it had rained the day before we arrived. Overall the house was nice, but it was unfortunate to deal with the leaks and puddles.

Filthy and not as advertised

To keep it short, the bed descriptions don't match. There is bunk beds and no trunfle. The house is a filthy mess and the owner refuses to refund any money. Do not book this house. I tried having a conversation with the owner before leaving a bad review and all he did was say sorry and blame the weather. None of the bathroom outlets work so don't plan on using those to get ready. The place is a mess and the downstairs shower nozzle has to be held to take a shower. The owner acknowledged all of these issues and still refused a partial refund.

A beautiful tahoe get away

This property was so beautiful and great to stay at. A lot of amenities and a perfect location. The downstairs shower was a bit odd to work, but other than that my family and I fully enjoyed our visit.

Had a great time at this house. Came up for a three day weekend to explore South Lake Tahoe and this house was in the perfect location. Only about a 10-15 minute drive to everything you could want but still far away enough to be in a quiet peaceful area to rest after a long day. Will definitely book again!

garbage

Garbage bags and pizza boxes were piled in the garage from previous party which is stinky. Also, they did not lock the outside garbage doors, big bear came around 2:00 am to look for food, we have to clean up the street outside in the middle of the night after the bear left. It is not fair to pay so much cleaning fee and we still have to clean for others. We left messages for this problem and did not receive any response.

Snowed In

We booked this home a year in advance as we planned to be in Tahoe for Christmas. There was no way of knowing that our stay would coincide with record breaking snow storms! Crystal, the property manager, was amazing and always responsive. Because all of the major highways closed, the next guests couldn't get into town so we were allowed to extend our stay. This was a relief after looking for hotels because we couldn't get home! Overall, we felt lucky to have somewhere warm, safe, and comfortable to stay. The power never shut down, and though we couldn't go far, my kids had fun playing with snow in the yard. We were also able to walk to Holiday Market and Tube Town, which was a bonus.

Great place to stay. However comfortable beds for 10 only. Hard for 65 year olds to sleep in bunk beds and on a futon. Need more silverware and wash cloths in the kitchen otherwise we had a great time.

Couldn't stay due to fire at the property & owner refuses to refund money

I paid in full for use of the property. Unfortunately due to the fires & mandatory evacuations, the owner was not able to fulfill his end of the agreement (understandably) but refuses to give me other dates or a refund. He is keeping all of my money despite not being able to fulfill the agreement. Sadly I now have to spend time, energy & money pursuing my refund through small claims court. Would not book with this short term rental landlord again.

Excellent Choice

An amazing comfortable clean home in the South Lake Tahoe area! We were in Lake Tahoe for my nephew's graduation from the high school there and needed a spacious home for my family and my sister's family. This home did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived to the time we left we felt right at home. I am a bit of an ocd clean person and this home was SO clean and organized! We enjoyed walking to the market close by- the kids enjoyed playing pool and the hot tub. I look forward to staying here again. Highly recommend this property!

Lovely cabin in the woods

The house and location of the property was just what we needed for our Thanksgiving trip. The cabin was very spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our turkey. The neighborhood was very quiet and the Mountain View’s were absolutely breathtaking. Overall, I highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again.

Wonderful stay

I highly recommend this house for a large party. Communication with the host and property manager was great. The house was clean and plenty of room to accommodate a party of 14 adults. It was within driving distance to everything. Would definitely want to stay here again on our next trip to Tahoe.
