Esta es una casa grande dividida en 2 apartamentos de tres habitaciones y 2 baños, con capacidad para 6 +1 cada uno. Los apartamentos se alquilan juntos y ambos están incluidos en el precio.
Opción ideal para dos familias de vacaciones juntas que deseen un poco de privacidad y espacio juntos.
Piscina privada (10m x 5m) con hermosas vistas a las montañas.
Cerca de Filicaia, a 4 km de Castelnuovo Garfagnana, al norte de Lucca.

La propiedad se encuentra en tierras de cultivo con impresionantes vistas al hermoso valle de Garfagnana y los Alpes Apuanos. Los apartamentos son cómodos y están bien amueblados, conservando algunas características originales, como techos con vigas, chimenea y paredes interiores de piedra.

Rustic Villa in Northern Tuscany

We stayed in this villa for 10 nights in August. The Villa is divided into 2 separate units which was perfect for our family get together. We used the kitchen in the downstairs unit as our main preparation area as most of the utensils required were kept there. The villa is very basic which was fine for us as we were hardly inside although it did mean buying all essentials from the local supermarket. The villa is surrounded by lawns and a pool which meant our kids were happy either kicking a ball around or playing in the pool when we were there. I had thought the villa was further away from the road but it was quite close to the road connecting the villages in the area so there was always some noise although nothing too disturbing. The owner of the villa lives next door and came every morning to clean the pool and in the afternoon watered the garden. On one hand it was good have the facilities well cared for, but on the other hand it sometimes seemed to be a bit intrusive. There are villages 5-10 minutes drive down the road where we found delicious breakfast pastries, tasty gelato and good value restaurants. The villa is located approx. 1 hour drive from Lucca so most of our day trips were within a 1.5 hour drive radius. We discovered the beautiful Villa Reale di Marlia which is slowly being restored to its prior beauty and my adventurous kids had a great time with Lucca Rafting jumping in the cold river water.

We waren met een grote familie met 8 volwassenen en 7 (klein)kinderen. We hadden het hele huis gehuurd en dat werkte prima! Het is echt een mooi authentiek huis met een mooie, goed onderhouden tuin en prachtig zwembad aan de achterzijde van het huis! Het uitzicht is formidabel, aan alle kanten van het huis. De regio biedt volop mogelijkheden. We hebben twee keer pizza’s besteld in het dorpje Filicaia. Castelnuovo di Garfagnana is een leuk stadje met elke donderdag een gezellige markt.De eigenaar is aardig en zorgt erg goed voor een permanent schoon zwembad. Een paar verbeterpunten voor de eigenaar:* de fauteuils zijn oud (b.g.)* in de keuken ontbreekt een goedwerkende oven/magnetron. We hebben opscheplepels, pollepels en kleine lepeltjes en vorkjes gemist. De koekenpannen waar klein en niet meer zo goed.* de containers aan de rand van het terrein werden onvoldoende geleegd waardoor we soms stankoverlast hadden.

We’re also delighted that you explored the local area and appreciated the care the owner takes with maintaining the pool. Your constructive feedback is very helpful. We’ve already passed your comments on to the owners so they can review the seating in the living area and improve the kitchen equipment. We will look into the waste-collection schedule but this is covered by the local council - they do come every day apart from Sunday, but only collect each type of waste twice weekly. We will ask the owner to ensure the process is clearly detailed in the house. Ferie med børn

Huset er 2 lejligheder med 3 værelser og 2 badeværelser og et mindre køkken. Vi var afsted 2 familier med i alt 6 børn. Børnene havde den øverste lejlighed og vi voksne den nederste hvorfra vi anvendte køkkenet. Den øverste lejlighed er mere rummelig, men ikke helt så let adgang til udeområderne hvor vi spiste. Køkkenerne er slidte og ikke så godt udstyret - ingen ovn. Men der er opvaskemaskine og det er dejligt. Huset er i gammel stil og med rug lofter hvor der var rigtig meget spindelvæv. Dette var der ligeledes rundt i begge lejligheder og der lugtede indelukket og gammelt da vi ankom. Vi gjorde selv det værste rent og luftede ud og så nød vi ferien, da vi det meste af tiden befandt os udenfor på de skønne udeområder. Det er en rigtig fin pool, med en størrelse så store børn også kan lege i den. Huset er beliggende med en smuk udsigt og med kort afstand, ca 4km, til en lidt større by med atmosfære, spisesteder, indkøbsmuligheder, butikker og padelbane. Gåafstand til en meget lille landsby, hvor der er en lokal kaffebar og pizzaria. Dejligt med mulighed for at vaske tøj. Tjek ruteforholdene til og fra stedet, da vi oplevede en meget lang køretur på små snoede veje, hvilket kan være hårdt hver gang man skal på udflugt fra huset. Næsten kun kørslen i retningen imod Lucca der er til at overskue.

Bardzo dobre miejsce na wakacje w większej grupie. Piękne widoki. Dużo miejsca wokół domu, który jest czysty i dobrze wyposażony. Dużo miejsca przy basenie. Bardzo polecam.

Rigtig fint hus med fin beliggenhed

Fint hus dejlig stort, flot beliggenhed. Kunne trænge til en grundigere rengøring, samt gennemgang for skuffer i køkken der var i stykker, dør der skrabede på gulvet og var svær at åbne/lukke, lys i pool der ikke virkede og andre små reparationer. Men ikke noget der ødelagde den samlede gode oplevelse.

Für Ruhe Liebende sehr schön

Das Haus liegt sehr außerhalb und man kann zu Fuß nichts erreichen, leider waren auch keine Restaurant besuche möglich. Das Haus und der Pool sind wirklich ein Traum. Man darf aber keine exclusive Vorstellungen von der Einrichtung und dem Geschirr haben.... Aber wer braucht das.... Der Besitzer ist mehr als liebenswert und würde einem immer helfen und auch beraten. Wir können uns überhaupt nicht beschweren. Eine kleine Anmerkung, wenn man die Poolauflagen und die Schirme erneuern würde wäre das ganze Hochwertiger und vielleicht etwas Geschirr ergänzen Wir kommen aber auch so gerne wieder Vielen Dank

For future guests, whilst one needs a car here, there are plenty of restaurants within a short car drive as the property is only 5 minutes from town. Dejligt sted med fantastisk udsigt og meget hjælpsom vært

Huset ligger ca. 7 minutters kørsel fra Castelnuevo. Et dejligt hus med god plads og en skøn pool. Udsigten fra poolen er bare fantastisk. Skøn have med aftenbelysning. Værten, Mr. Orsi er meget hjælpsom på trods af sit sparsomme engelsk. Kan virkelig anbefales.

Prachtige omgeving, maar huis ietwat gedateerd!

De ligging van het huis is geweldig evenals het zwembad, maar het huis, boven én beneden, heeft de nodige gebreken. Slechte bedden, bij elkaar geraapt serviesgoed, 1 slaapkamer die in verbinding staat met de woonkamer, doordat 1 muur niet helemaal tot boven dicht is, zodat de warmte én het ongedierte vrij spel hebben! En boven, de 2 aan elkaar grenzende slaapkamers die zo slecht geïsoleerd zijn dat je letterlijk alles van elkaar kunt horen!!! Vaste horren zou ook geen overbodige luxe zijn! Onze klamboes hebben hier wel nut gehad. Verder heb je nog een parkeerprobleem als er 4 auto's geparkeerd moeten worden, daar is te weinig plek voor. Maar de omgeving, het weer en het heerlijke eten maken veel goed!

The property is not in our opinion dated, but is a traditional Tuscan Property which has been restored as sensitively as was possible at the time to provide what is considered to be good value holiday accommodation when compared to other 6 bedroom properties in the area. Beautiful, spacious, great location, easy access

As two families on joint holiday, we had an apartment each and were thoroughly delighted with the space and having the whole property to ourselves together with the freedom that brought us in terms of using the outdoor space - particularly the fabulous pool!! The apartments were adequately appointed and tastefully decorated. We felt very comfortable and grateful for the two bathrooms in each apartment! The showers took a little to get used to, especially in terms of sufficient hot water...but personally, I had no trouble! (Maybe my timing was impeccable...) The only problem we really had, was that the electricity would get 'overloaded' and we learned not to use the oven for cooking... Mr Orsi, the owner, was a gem and maintained the pool and gardens himself. Even though we spoke no Italian and he spoke very little English, he was so delightful and helpful, it made our stay very enjoyable. We loved the location and had tremendous views out over the valley and quickly became familiar with the short drive to Castelnuovo for grocery items etc. (There are no local shops in easy walking distance) the larger e.leclerc was about half an hour away. We stayed for two weeks and found our way around relatively easily, with day trips to Florence, Pisa and Luca within easy reach. In the Garfargna Valley, we were able to find many interesting places to visit and activities to keep us occupied for the whole period, for example the high ropes course, horse riding and quad biking to name a few. We also enjoyed the 'climate' there in the valley, as on our trips out, we noticed the temperatures seemed a lot higher than back at the apartments... The pool was very refreshing and surprisingly cold!! There were ample sun loungers & outdoor seating for all of us! We made the most of the BBQ's and 'el fresco' dining. We enjoyed two weeks of beautiful blue skies every morning and endured one thunderstorm on our last night there! All in all a very memorable holiday for all the right reasons! We would definitely have no hesitation in recommending L'Argilla as a great place to stay - you have the freedom to tailor-make your own holidays, by being as active (or not) as you choose!

Thank you for your really helpful review, and we are really glad you had a lovely stay! Electricity to houses in Italy is restricted (good 'Green' policy!) meaning that one cannot use too many appliances at once. For example oven and iron or oven and dishwasher etc. We will get the owner to check that there was nothing else wrong just in case! We hope to hear from you for another stay! Update 30 Jan: I understand from chatting with the owner that the time you stayed was a particular problem with electricity since he was having electric solar panels installed. This is all now complete so problems will not occur again!

Amazing stay

Our family of 6 had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at this beautiful house. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The house is comfortable, clean and the facilities are excellent. The local town is only a few km's away and has lovely streets and shops to explore. We did day trips to Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Cinque Terre easily from this area. We would come back and stay again.
