Esta hermosa casa nueva tiene 2 niveles. El nivel inferior de la piscina tiene 2 dormitorios, 2 baños y una sala familiar. Habitación familiar oprns a la terraza de la piscina y tiene un sofá cama. El nivel superior tiene sala de estar, comedor, cocina, 2 dormitorios y 2 baños. Hay puertas entre las 2 unidades para que pueda alquilar ambos lados para grupos grandes y combinar las unidades. Juntos, ambos lados duermen 20. Cada lado tiene su propia piscina que se puede calentar en invierno. El alquiler tiene 6 televisores, parrilla de gas, 2 bicicletas, garaje, muelle. mesa de limpieza de pescado, cebo congelador, secador de pelo en todos los baños, toallas de playa. Membresía Cabina Club está incluida. El club Cabama tiene una gran piscina, playa y restaurante.

We had a wonderful stay at this home and it worked perfectly for our group of three families, three adult couples and three kids. One of the kids slept on the pull-out couch, which worked just fine.The kitchen was great and well set up, and we absolutely loved the sunsets. The location was a huge highlight for us. We really, really loved being here, pickleball courts were just a couple blocks away, the community beach was close, and the home was centrally located to most of the activities we wanted to do. The bikes provided were such a bonus and very much appreciated.The hosts were extremely responsive and kind. One of the beds was uncomfortable for our friends, and they quickly brought over a topper, which was so thoughtful. Unfortunately, the bed was still not very comfortable for them, but we truly appreciated how fast they tried to resolve it. The pool was not heated when we arrived, but again, they handled it right away.Overall, a very responsive and gracious host, a fantastic location, and a great home for a larger group. I would happily stay here again.

Beautiful property! Rented this properly both sides & it did not disappoint. Absolutely perfect. Everyone had a great time. Ample parking. Furnished wonderfully. Everything we needed in every room. Very wide canal.We've stayed at many different rentals & we will be returning to this one.

Plenty of room and perfect location for us.

This house had plenty of room for the six of us. It was nice to come back after fishing all day and relax in the pool. I did not get a response from emailing but George will answer when you call. I will look to book this place when we come down next year.

Family vacation

We rented both sides of the house for our group of 16. We loved the open living areas and the fact they had an adjoining door. The outside area was great too and we enjoyed time by the pool and dock. Great neighborhood for walking and biking. Wonderful place; we may do 2 weeks next time!

Good accommodation for good price

Overall, my family and I enjoyed our time at this house. It was a good location. It does need some repairs, updating and there was no air filter so that did cause of our members' allergies to act up. The price was decent compared to some other places I saw in the Florida keys.

Best way to spend a holiday!

Our 2nd time staying in this house during Christmastime. Love the location, 4/4 setup and private pool. We had one minor maintenance issue, which was handled promptly. Thank you so much! We hope to be back again soon.

Nice house

It was a nice house but needs a good thorough cleaning ! Hand rails need washing , floors need to be washed, cobwebs on fan light. We had a good time . 2DVD players but neither worked. Property manager bought a new one and hooked it up. He was very nice.

Great boat access

We chose this property as a repeat customer based on previously listed amenities including access to the cabana club down the street. We were told upon entry that the home is no longer a member and the daily rate per person was just too high. This was always a great option to the house pool as it is in direct sunlight and becomes very hot and less than refreshing. Presentation and overall initial cleanliness of the home was great however the tile flooring appears only swept and never mopped/scrubbed. Shoes must be worn at all times. Noted improvements with decor/kitchen needs (pots/pans/dishes) and all cabinets repaired. Internet was very spotty when it worked. TVs did not work in any of the rooms. One dvd player was good alternative for kids.

Great location and beautiful weather. The place is nice but not great. Too many little things but all in all a good visit. Hair in dressers (not just from head) prompted us to live out of suitcase. Clogged faucet in lower MB (fixed on day 5 of 7). No pillows on upstairs bedroom with the two twin beds (pillows delivered on day 5 of 7). Very little hot water in second downstairs bedroom shower. Handy man replaced shower head but that didn’t solve the problem. (Again on day 5 of 7). Some cracked tiles in house and downstairs couch smelled of urine. Probably the pullout used by kids in the past. Very weak Wifi.

Wonderful Time!!

I must say I was a little nervous about staying here based on some of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay here again. The house is plenty big enough, was clean and had everything we needed for our party of 9 plus a dog. The house could use some paint and perhaps new furniture but clearly it is a vacation rental. There is a ton of outside sitting on the first floor and on the second floor. The dock had a fish cutting station and running water. There is a bait deep freezer and an additional full size refrigerator in the garage. The AC kept up with the heat and kept the house chilled. George the property manager was very friendly and pleasant. I will say the ice maker wasn’t working but we just bought a few bags of ice. It was being repaired the day we left so this may be a mute point. The only thing I would suggest they get is a broom. The whole house is tile and with 9 people and a dog I would have liked to have been able to sweep the floors. The place certainly is not the Ritz but for the price you can’t go wrong!!

A little updating and a deep clean could be 5 star!!

We rented both sides between four families 15 total. Plenty of space for all of us, each side left our interior kitchen doors open and walked between the two units all week long. Cons: Upon arrival a few dead roaches and spiders were found. Home needs a good deep cleaning as we immediately cleaned kitchen with Clorox wipes and bleach. Home could use some updating a few loose cabinets, half of the tiles need to be removed and redone as they are loose. Ice maker worked on one side, drawers in fridge were loose. Could use some more kitchen pots pans decent amount but had to buy some stuff at Publix. Pros: Fantastic location, great communication, huge dock, easy access, we parked two trailers, three F350’s and a Suburban. Put a utility trailer in one garage and a golf cart in the other. Awesome for big groups the two kitchens were great, extra beer fridge in garages and deep freezers. An ice maker would be a huge plus. Overall if the homes had a deep clean and some updating it would have got a 5 star from us. Management was great. Day one we realized we had two pool towels between both units within an hour they brought two sets of brand new towels which was great.

Nice and on the water

The place was nice, fairly clean, and conveniently on the water. Dropped our boat once and were able to park it at our dock for the week, super convenient! The AC was able to keep up with our cool temperature likings. The patio area was nice size and included a private pool, they had several lawn chairs and patio chairs to use too. The pool is small but it worked for what we needed it for, to get in, cool off and relax after a long day on the water or long night lobstering! There were a couple questionable tile areas on the steps, they were a little loose so just had to watch your step and a broken tile in the middle of the kitchen floor so watch your step there too. A previous post mentioned this and a response said it was corrected, maybe it happened again not sure but it was broken when we got there. The down stairs mattress in the south bedroom had the cheapest matress. Of course thats the one my husband and I ended up in (dang kids got us, lol) but the other beds were all nice and comfy. The one we were in was okay just very springy not much padding. I do recommend bringing your own blankets and maybe pillows there are only a couple extra pillows and they didnt have extra sheets or pillow cases and the blankets aren't really blankets. We had friends that stayed in the unit next door so that adjoining doorway was perfect for us and stayed open all week! I would consider booking here again if I need this much space again.

Great view of the sunset!

Immediately, upon arrival, I was disappointed. We have stayed in Key Colony Beach for the last 10 years. This was the first time staying at this home. The first thing that was noticed was food stuck all over the countertops and a coffee pot half full of coffee, growing mold, sitting in the sink. The home was definitely not cleaned before we came. The cabinet doors were falling off, the icemaker does not work, and the refrigerator was not getting cold for the first two days. I spoke to the property manager, and he said the icemaker was on order. The entire home needs to be updated and thoroughly cleaned. The tiles on the stairway are sharp and dangerous. Some of the tiles feel like you’re falling through in the floor downstairs. The worst part, though, was the enormous sized palmetto bugs throughout the house. The upstairs master bathroom had three large ones seen in one night. The downstairs bedrooms also had palmetto bugs as well as the garage. They definitely could use some pest control. This home is large with four bedrooms, and four bathrooms, and definitely has potential. If the cleanliness, updating of the property and the bug issues were addressed we would consider returning as the home is large and spacious with beautiful views of the sunset.

Not Clean and ANTS galore

To say the least, I was extremely disappointed in the cleanliness of this home as well as BUGS and safety issues. The house needs scrubbed from top to bottom. The furniture is so stained that I certainly would not sit on the couches and I took the cushions off the dining room chairs. I don’t think the baseboards have ever had a damp rag applied to them. The sliding door in the family room is broke. One side stays slightly opened and you have to lock it with a piece of wood. The inside staircase is dangerous with cracked and chipped tile. The landing has a very sharp corner instead of rounded so anyone can fall and bust their head open easily. There is tile in the kitchen that feels like the floor is caving in spots. There is no fenced gate to block off the upstairs patio from the stairs so a child can fall down concrete stairs easily. The gate for outside to the backyard doesn’t work properly and remained in the open position most of the time. ANTS galore in the garage. Even in the refrigerator. I have never seen such. For as much as we paid for one week this house is VERY DISAPPOINTING. For the amount of rental income received on this home they should invest some of it into a remodel and hire a new cleaning service. We love Key Colony but will definitely be looking for a different house.

A Great Time was Had by All

We have a large family and this house with four bedrooms and four baths was a great size for us. It was nice also because with it being my husband and myself and two adult children and their families we each had a suite of our own. The house is beautifully decorated. The one thing I would say and I wouldn't take a star away for it, was that the house has a western exposure and with no window treatments it was very warm upstairs in the late afternoon. Because there are several of us it gets very expensive to eat out. I brought bins and bins of food with us and having the kitchen well stocked with all of the utensils that we needed made it great that we could have all of our meals in and not worry about eating out. There is also a Publix only 2 1/2 miles away in Marathon for anything else that you might need. As I had read in other reviews you do need to bring paper towels, toilet paper and any other paper products that you might need. Also dish soap, dishwasher detergent, garbage bags and laundry soap. It was a big help having the washer and dryer there also. Although we brought 4 bikes with us, that was still not enough and it was wonderful that there were two bikes there at the house for us to use. We all enjoyed the pool and also took advantage of going down to the Cabana Club and using the pool there. We brought our own boat and it was nice to have it docked at our back door for ease in loading and unloading diving equipment. The canal gives you easy access to the gulf and the ocean. Any questions that we had either prior to our visit or during were answered quickly and the owner and her team were very friendly and efficient to deal with. Our family has a tendency to rate things whether a recipe or anything else we are doing as a "do it again" or " nooo, don't think so", this was definitely a "do it again."

Minor Cosmetic and cleaning needed

The property needs more TLC. Kitchen cabinets broken, interior furniture needs cleaning, not enough towels and linens and what’s there needs to be replaced, there were no kitchen towels. Some of the outside furniture was broken, we repaired some of them. Pool needs to be scrubbed around the edge, was dirty and has a crack in the bottom. Well if worked some of the time. Would consider staying there again if theses items were fixed.

Key Colony

The views and the amenities are absolutely amazing. Great quartz kitchen counter top, nice tiled back splash. Second floor open porch is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the scenery. The pool deck is very nice as it stays cool and does not get hot. The pool is a great place to cool off. The washer and dryer were very new and wonderful to use. The main refrigerator is very nice except for the inability to make ice or get water. And the microwave was quite adequate. The A/C system works great. The house was not cleaned and we ended up having to clean it ourselves. In the one downstairs bedroom the sheets and towels were covered in hair and dust. So we had to change the linens. Two of the floor standing fans did not work. The ice machine and the water in the refrigerator did not work, so we had to buy ice. The entire house is tiled and about 6 of the 18” tiles in the kitchen are cracked and broken through. Several loose tiles in stairway. Several of the kitchen cabinets have broken hinges so the doors want to fall off, especially an upper one which could fall and hurt someone. A lot of dust on the decorative figures within the unit. The interior of the dishwasher is rusting to pieces and part of the rack have rusted off. Overall a pleasant overall vacation rental. Needs TLC and a deep cleaning.
