Great property right on the Neuse River in a neat neighborhood/community with a key west/island type vibe. Dale met us at the property, and offered solutions to parking our boats and campers. They were gracious in allowing our charitable organization to use their property to host 3 veterans in an inshore fishing camp. The house was great, and we hope to use again for the same event in the future.

Everything was great! A wonderful property, and Michelle was amazingly quick to respond to any question we had. Our boys thoroughly enjoyed fishing off the dock, and made friends with neighbors who offered advice! Everything was clean, well-maintained, and the perfect weekend getaway accomodations. We hope to return and stay again!

Our stay at Sunrise on the Porch was wonderful. The home I was very comfortable for our family of 7. The beds slept great and we had plenty of room. The views are amazing and the property grounds are well kept. This area is so peaceful and is full of great fishing. The owners of this home are fast to respond to any questions. Dale even came out to help us catch and cook some crab caught off the dock on the property grounds. I highly recommend this home for your next vacation. We definitely plan on coming back.

Thanksgiving getaway

Beautiful house with beautiful views! Owner went above and beyond to accommodate us as we were driving down from Long Island and arriving on Thanksgiving morning. Would definitely stay there again. Many great memories made with family and friends

Making Memories is easy at this location!

The property and location was perfect! We were able to hold a small family event which was was easy to do with the layout of the property. This clean, spacious, with a beautifil daily sunrise, Michelle is very nice, and makes check-in and check-out easy.

Guys fishing trip

Very nice place to stay. It was very clean, in a really good location, nice neighbors, even Bill…LOL. Great place for our annual guys kayak fishing trip. Thank you for letting us stay there.

Family visit

Enjoyable stay at Sunrise on the Porch for our 2nd stay. Location and property are excellent for crabbing, visiting family and relaxing. Michelle is an excellent host and the neighbors are great too!

We enjoyed our stay. The house had plenty of room with spacious decks all the way around. The area was peaceful and relaxing and Michelle made check in very easy. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property.

Always a Comfortable Vacation Home

We call it the Bear House in my family because of coffee table. The house has three comfortable bedrooms (2 up and 1 down) and two bathrooms. You can’t beat the view of the river. We had a crab feast with crabs we caught off the private and community docks. Billy or Michelle, checked on us daily and it felt like being welcomed to the community. We’ll be back next year!

Wonderful cabin for a family weekend getaway

The cabin was the perfect place to stay with our family for spending the weekend attending the NC Fossil Festival in nearby Aurora. We really enjoyed all of the outdoor seating options with beautiful views of the river. We even got to see a rainbow over the river! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We highly recommend this cabin!
