I decided to take my family (parents, brother) out to this little corner of Appalachia for a cozy Thanksgiving holiday. Amenities were spot-on, and the team even made sure we had a roasting pan for turkey! Super responsive and a lovely property (with lots of firewood!) which let us feel secluded without feeling isolated. My brother has determined to "add it to the rotation" of places we'll gather in the future, so thank you all for helping make it a lovely time!

Relaxing getaway!

Mountian view was the perfect place to unwind! The dogs loved roaming the area behind the cabin and we also enjoyed the state park nearby. Check-in was easy and the cabin was easy to find.

nice cabin with lots of deer!!

This was perfect for us just down the way from the family cabin we were visiting. Berkeley Springs is a nice little down with a very rich history. We will probably rent this several times in the future given its location to our friends cabin just a few hundred yards down the road.

Perfect location

We very much enjoyed our stay. It’s in a nice wooded neighborhood but feels like you are secluded. Nice walking roads to walk the dog. House was very clean and was in good proximity to all we wanted to do. We will definitely rent there when.

The house is in a quiet wooded area with ample outdoor space to enjoy. We arrived to many dead bugs in the house, along with many alive spiders and a fair amount of dust. Overall the house could use some TLC. The rooms were fine, if a bit cramped. The Wi-Fi was down while we were there. The property managers were responsive but getting the Wi-Fi up was apparently more complicated than I cared to deal with over a two night stay. The lack of dishwasher definitely made me question the sanitary health of the dishes/utensils, given the overall lack of cleanliness. We love the Berkeley Springs area and come out frequently. I would not choose this property again.

Great House

We enjoyed our long weekend in the Hideaway Cabin. The cabin was well appointed and super clean. It was well stocked and we had everything we needed. Our 2 dogs loved the spacious property - lots of grass and woods out the back. We loved it!

Quiet cabin close to the park

This is a great location for visiting Capacon State Park or Berkeley Springs. The cabin has plenty of space for families and the area is beautiful and calm. It is also great that cooking tools and toiletries are provided. We will visit again although I do suggest bringing both your own small-child safe dishes or cups as what is provided is breakable and bag/folding chairs if you use the fire pit.

Secluded and Quiet Weekend with Great Friends

Excellent getaway. The cabin was clean and spacious enough. The screened in porch was fantastic as we sat out there till late in the evenings. The other porch was a great way to spend the mornings outside. We wanted a quiet weekend alone with great friends .. this cabin provided those needs. Highly recommended!!!

Peaceful and relaxing

The property was exactly as stated. Had a problem getting the key (our fault) and the sent someone immediately to help us. The house was very clean. We had a very relaxing long weekend. Would definitely come back!

For the 18th Anniversary... that's apple butter, right?

We had learned about the Berkeley Springs Apple Butter Festival back in the spring and we immediately set to looking for pet friendly properties in the area, since we heard it books up solid. We hit the jackpot with this lovely cabin in the woods. It had everything we needed and more. The screened porch was ideal for our first night since it was still warm enough to just hang out in the quietude. We didn't take advantage of the fire pit since it rained a bit. Maybe next time...and we are definitely planning for there to be a next time.

Grate-fall times at the Mountain View Hideaway!

Loved our stay the weekend of Oct. 27-29, 2023. The house has rustic charm, is extremely tidy, and has everything you could possibly need for a super comfortable, entertaining stay. There were lots of amenities - we were impressed! It was just my husband, myself and our two dogs, away for a nice little fall getaway. We chose to stay closer to Cacapon State Park (3 mi. away) this year, since a hike with the dogs is one of our main activities. At the house, we split most of our time in the screened porch on the comfy chairs, relaxing between activities and enjoying the nice weather. Great view, while sipping drinks on the large wraparound deck overlooking wild turkey's, the woods, and the fire pit. There was ample wood and accessories for my husband to easily build a nice fire, late in the evening, which we appreciated from the deck above. The 15+ min drive toward Berkeley Springs for a couple of great meals, was pretyy easy. Nice grounds & quiet surroundings made for easy walks with the pups too!

Cabin Getaway in the Woods

Quiet, picturesque with lots of wood for a fire every night. Very clean & cozy. Gorgeous deck. We saw wild turkeys, deer and black bears! Second queen bed was very creaky.
