'Algas Me Rhonda' - primera Condo piso w / Pool - Plazas 7. Salir en la playa!

N ° 109, que cariñosamente llamamos "me kelp Rhonda", es una de las pocas suites familiares en el Gypsy mar. Es más grande en pies cuadrados que la mayoría de la planta baja condominios Mar gitanos. Puede alojar hasta siete personas entre dos camas de tamaño en dos áreas separadas para dormir, adem����s de un sofá-cama doble y un sofá-cama doble de tamaño.

La excelente ubicación de Algas Me Rhonda no puede ser subestimada. Nº 109 se encuentra en la planta baja, justo al lado de la entrada de la piscina cubierta climatizada del Sea Gypsy y sauna. También cuenta con uno de los puntos de acceso a la playa más cercanos en el edificio. Abre tus puertas corredizas de vidrio, caminar unos pies al sur y tomar 12 pasos cortos hacia abajo en la playa de arena.

Este condominio cuenta con una cocina completa con horno de gama, estufa, nevera, microondas y un montón de utensilios de cocina para hacer sus recetas favoritas. Hay dos baños completos, espacio de armario extra, un refrigerador adicional en el dormitorio principal y ocultar-a-cama en ambas áreas para dormir.

Algas me Rhonda tiene un cambio de imagen a principios de 2015 con un nuevo sofá-cama, muebles, obras de arte y una nueva capa de pintura en todo el interior. Sin embargo, lo que los huéspedes realmente vienen por algún tiempo en familia, acceso a la playa inmejorable y la impresionante vista por la ventana.

The place has a few "dated" things about it, and some evidence of the effects of salt water on fixtures etc. The bathroom was very clean, many towels available. The beds were comfortable. We did not use the kitchen except the frig. I loved the ocean view and ease of getting down to the beach. The restaurant next door is exceptional.

Beach right there

Enjoyed the beach and pool. The only issues we had were the noisy neighbors. They even played ball outside our unit and fell into the sliding glass door several times.

Great size room for the price. The room was a bit worn. You could see areas where the paint had worn off, and the bedroom door didn't close well. But it's nothing a little paint and some adjusting wouldn't fix. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Loved staying so close to the beach! Great space with plenty of bedding for our group. Some upgrades and improvements could be done (darkening g the bedroom at night would be awesome). I've stayed at several sea Gypsy rooms and wasn't too try them all. This one could use a few touch ups. Other than that the space was fantastic.

I think the location was fantastic. The actual place needed upgrades very small. I went into a couple other condos that had a different set up which created more space and next year. I’ll probably try to book one of those. There was pros and cons. The pros was it was by the breezeway, which was nice because I didn’t have anybody on the other side and it was close to the pool.

FABULOUS location

When we go to the beach, we want to enjoy the beach. This property is right on the beach, close enough that we could leave our shoes/flipflops and not have to carry them. Great view to watch the sunsets. The accommodations are pleasant. The kitchen is well stocked, containing a coffee pot and toaster. We used the two queen beds and the twin roll away bed and all were very comfortable. We really appreciated the abundance of towels, including separate beach towels. The screen door needs to be repaired as it has many holes in it. However, bugs were not a problem during our visit. We would book this room again if the occasion comes up.

Spring Break Getaway

Very disappointed with this unit. The only good thing is that it's beach access and the view from the condo, otherwise, not happy at all. We are a family of 7 and there weren't enough linen provided, no blankets for the pullout bed and the rollaway. The sofa is so old, you can feel the springs on the very thin mattress when you lay down, didn't get a good sleep at all. Same with the rollaway, you sink when you lay down and all the pillows provided on all the beds are so flat, they were probably been used for years. There were no enough basic utensils, the two knives are blunt that we were having a hard time cutting the meats. We stayed 2 nights, 3 days and there was only coffee provided for the coffee maker. The curtains in the bedroom are coming off the rails. The fan in the first bathroom not working, the lampshade is far from the bed and you have to get up to turn it off and on on the switch by the door. So inconvenient, most of all, there was no dishwasher to sanitize the plates, cups and cutleries, you have to hand wash everything, which, at this time of pandemic, is not advisable. We stayed at Sand and Sea before and was pleased but decided on the ground floor because there was no lift and my husband had a hard time climbing up the stairs. Glad I couldn't extend one more night because it was fully booked. It was a very uncomfortable stay.

We have always enjoyed staying at the Sea Gypsy but 109 was probably the worst unit we've experienced. It needs a deep cleaning especially in the kitchen and some serious care and attention. Kitchen is lacking a lot of dishes/silverware and kitchen utensils we normally find in other units. Everything is just outdated and old. Cabinets were sticky and kind of gross. No dishwasher so hard to know how clean things were before using washed all the dishes ourselves. The screen door kept falling off and needs to be replaced. Same with the curtain rod...it continually was falling down so towards the end just left it off. Had a couple issues with the door lock too. It would lock but then wouldn't open and you could hear it trying to but it would error so we actually left the sliding door unlocked a few times just so we could re-enter. The main TV was so small for the amount of wall space available. Since this unit is advertised as one that can house a larger number of people...get a bigger TV. I think the furniture needs to be repositioned because the heater can't really push out the warmth stuck in a corner by the bed. Hate to sound like a complainer but we've owned a condo at the coast before and understand it can be a lot of work. The feeling we got was that whomever owns 109 just doesn't really care or put a lot of pride into the unit. Communications with staff was good but 109 was such a disappointment and we won't stay there again.

The room was not clean, had @ 20 flies most of them seemed to hang out in the kitchen around the sink area. Then the bed had sand in it that would tell me the sheets were not changed. The kitchen Cabinets had a thick film on them it was disgusting.

Location, excellent, the condo was OK

If there was a 2.5 stars that's what I would have given this place. The location was wonderful. Right on the beach, you can open the sliding door and hear the ocean right outside. Hopefully bugs don't come in because the screen door is torn. This place just needs a reno. It's in pretty sad shape on the inside. It gets the job done but it's not what you would expect from a condo on the beach. Everything is very dated. List of things that need to be fixed: Wifi sucks. After the third network I was given it worked good in the front of the condo but in the back it was so-so. It was bad enough that we could barely stream anything. It would buffer every few minutes. Felt like going back in time... Screen door busted Poor lighting Garbage disposal is broken or if it's not it sounds like it's breaking Fan in the bathroom doesn't work Doors stick in the bathroom TVs are super small Couch and chair are super old and mismatched. Kitchen is stocked with leftover mismatched utensils plates etc Oven is from the 70s Mold on the bathroom ceiling Lamp shade is broken Again this place gets the job done. But it was just OK. I wouldn't stay here again after seeing the interior of some of the other condos here.

Don't rent this room unless you like lots of noise

This room is situated right next to the pool And to the main walk down to the beach- it's ALWAYS loud from people walking by all hours of the day and night and because it's on the bottom floor you get all the upstairs pounding - it's super hot in there and no extra fans are provided- also doesn't feel safe with the patio door to the beach open and all the people walking constantly by- won't be renting this room again-

Fantastic location, but needs improvements

First, let me say the location is incredible! Right on the beach (we even saw a sunset proposal -- she said yes), and depending which access point you use, only 7-20 steps down to the sand. Views were amazing, and it was nice being on the first floor so we could hop outside anytime we want. Prices are also very reasonable, and staff is very friendly and ready to help should the need arise. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by several issues, some functional, others relating to overall condition of the property. First, be aware that the stairs down to the beach, which they proudly advertise as being right outside your unit, are closed due to erosion. While there are two other access points a short walk away, one of which technically has fewer steps, it should be advertised to future or current renters of this unit. While I understand it's the city's job to fix, if it's good enough to advertise, it's good enough to alert your renters that they're currently not operational and advise of the alternative, especially if they have small children who need supervision. Also, despite plenty of signs notifying that the property was under constant surveillance, that didn't stop people from smoking on their patios despite signs saying not to. As for the room: -There were loose plug sockets in multiple rooms. Just the tiniest wiggle would pull it out, so getting phones to charge was difficult. -The kitchen is tiny (1-2 people max if cooking) and narrow: the fridge opens to counter. However, it was well-stocked with most things you'd need, so that was a plus. But be aware you can't cook crab or lobster (wish we knew this before). Other smelly seafoods and bacon are apparently OK though. Also note that you have to wash all dishes before you check out, and there is no dishwasher. -To close the back sliding door, make sure to close it with a bit of extra strength. If you don't, it'll appear closed and even locked, till you realize there's a small gap between the frame and the door. -On a similar note, we had issues with our front door. On the second day, we found that our code didn't work. When I went to alert the front desk, I got another code... which again didn't work. The third code did... and apparently, because the door doesn't properly align with the door frame, you need to enter your code, twist the knob, pull it toward you, then push it open. Staff was helpful, but this issue cost us about 20 minutes in lost time and put us late for an event. -Bathrooms are small, with very little counter space, but it was nice there were two. I did notice small patches of mold forming above the tub where wall meets ceiling. -The unit says it was remodeled in 2018, but new tiling is already caving in in places and scratched in others (deep scratches, like from a dog). -The second bedroom was a good size, but got very stuffy, and the ceiling fan in the main living area was really wobbly when turned on. -The rocker chair is broken on the back, though still functional. I'd have mentioned it, but after complaints about other things, I just felt like a drag and a broken record and I wanted to enjoy what was left of my vacation. I know SG can have someone fix things right away, but we'd prefer that someone is not in the room when we're not there, so altering our vacation plans to fix a ton of things was not in the cards. I'd recommend not only a new chair, but one that swivels, so you can turn to enjoy the sunsets, TV, or your guests without moving it. -The lamp in the second bedroom was missing a switch, so no light. We did get a replacement (albeit an old rusted one) that worked just OK (with the lamp shade off). The original was fixed the next day. Note that the photos on the website show reading lights attached above both beds; in reality, both of these are not there (so, combined with the broken beach stairs, misleading #2). -The screen door (with its ripped screen) came off track. While it was fixed the next day, apparently the lady staying a few units down is related to someone in charge of the building and said it was unacceptable that we had waited so long. -We found our room dirty on arrival (sand on the floor, especially under the kitchen table; what appeared to be an orange cap -- my first thought it was a syringe cap) in plain sight by the couch; trash behind chairs and under beds. Like all businesses that advertise strict CDC cleaning protocols yet suffer from staffing shortages... don't count on it. We were offered to have the room cleaned again, but by then, all our stuff was in the room and we had cleaned it anyway because we have young children crawling on the floor. A refund of our cleaning fee would have been appreciated though. -My child was able to pull a knob off a cabinet door by simply opening the door, with no force. We fixed it. The curtains don't fully cover the sliding door, are tattered in various places, are not fully attached to the rod -- which itself is not fully attached to the bar and slides and is covered in scotch tape), and we found one of the rings from the curtain in one of the drawers. -Storage not adequate in the main room. There are three drawers under the TV, one devoted to games/puzzles (some of which were missing pieces or contained outdated -- that is, pre-covid -- guidebooks), and another devoted to sheets for the rollaway bed. The top shelf in the hallway closet had a bunch of paint cans on it. -DVD player and TV convoluted at times. There's two DVD players, one of which doesn't have a remote -- and doesn't read discs anyway. The other, smaller one did work, but figuring out how to change the TV input took 20 minutes. To save you the trouble, forget the remote -- it doesn't change Input (nor does it take you to a 'guide' list of programming, despite the 'Guide' button). On the side of the TV, push the input button, but push it hard enough, because it doesn't always register. Then realize that the button doesn't only push in, it pushes left and right, which allows you rotate through the input sources. -Literature on the door and in the unit book say office is open until 10pm... until you get there at 7:03pm, like I did, and realize it closes at 7. Oops. -Pool was cold, but kids had fun regardless. Nearly every inch of the sauna is carved up with writing, so I was able to see who loved who and which families had been here while I got my sweat in. Overall, because of the friendly staff and fantastic location, I would consider staying at Sea Gypsy again, albeit likely in a different unit unless improvements are made to 109, but it wouldn't be my first choice. The saving grace is that the staff truly is caring, but there were just too many little things to either fix or update. While we were able to live with it, it didn't always make for a relaxing vacation, but it also didn't totally spoil it either.

Reasonable but not the best

The ceiling fan in the main room was very dirty and even though it was warm we didn't want to turn it on for fear of dust bunnies flying off. The screen door had a rip in it. There were no coffee filters in the room and we had to go to the office to get some, they were a little big but we made it work. Only 2 or 3 dish towels were available to dry dishes, this is the only thing you need to do before you leave. The fan in the main bath was not working. The 2nd bath had a nail sticking up on the threshold. The curtain in the back bedroom was not attached on all the hooks. The couch and chair in the main living room area were not comfortable. The unit overall was clean, except for the ceiling fan. We were able to get a 1st floor unit, but this one is right by a main hallway to the beach entrance so there was noise at various hours. Also the closest beach access was blocked off and we had to go down to the end of the building to access the beach. I would rent in this location again, but not this particular unit, mostly because of the noise from its location and it needs a little TLC. Not the worst place I've stayed at the coast but not the best either.

My husband and I have stayed at Sea Gypsy for years and this condo was the least stocked of all the ones we have stayed in. There were 7 of us and there were plenty of beds for everyone. The one in the living space was VERY bouncy the cot was good for a small child only. The kitchen was poorly stocked. We love the location of the Sea Gypsy and the access to the beach but would not stay in this Condo again.

My husband and I have stayed at Sea Gypsy for years and this condo was the least stocked of all the ones we have stayed in. There were 7 of us and there were plenty of beds for everyone. The one in the living space was VERY bouncing the cot was good for a small child only. The kitchen was poorly stocked. We love the location of the Sea Gypsy and the access to the beach but would not stay in this Condo again.

Great Location

Sea Gypsey has a great location, right in the center of everything and right on the beach. We loved being able to see the ocean right from our unit. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely be back. There were a couple of items that I think need to be addressed. The furniture in our unit is in dire need of an update. The couch had many stains and is not comfortable at all. The recliner is old and does not stay reclined, and the material on the back is not all tacked down so it hangs open. The curtains in the bedroom are hideous and very old. The hooks that should attach them to the rod are not all there, letting tons of light in. These are minor things that can be changed out and make this property 5 star.

Mid week at the coast!

The price for the unit was good. The pool was close and accessible that the kids enjoyed lot. The place was clean. There were plenty of towels. The only down side was that the bedroom was very warm even when the thermostat was only at 60 degrees making it difficult to sleep. It was a good experience over all. Perfect location for a family gathering at the beach

This was like a walk back in time as our family vacationed regularly at Sea Gypsy when I was a child. Perfect location and ocean view. I am not sure if I missed some information on how to check in but that took a little investigating to figure out. All over a very nice stay. Thank you

My family and I love this place. It's our first time staying in this room but we love the Sea Gypsy. It's close to the center of town and the outlet malls for shopping, close to Dutch Bros for the morning cup of coffee and close to the local medical facilities just in case. This room had everything I needed and more. The only thing it could use would be outdoor chairs for down on the beach.

Enjoyed our stay!

We had a fun trip, the place was pretty clean and decent. Very doable but there were a few aspects that were not ideal. Overall I would definitely recommend this stay but here are a few recommendations that could make a big difference. (1. Check the salt and oil supply each turnover. Unfortunately on both of our stays there was an absence of salt and/or oil. 2. Re-secure curtain rod in the bedroom, it's about fall off the wall. And replacing the interior security lock that is broken would be wonderful. 3. Provide at least one frying pan free from scratches and deep chips.) Again, we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it. Just hoping to provide helpful recommendations based on our experience. Thanks! -Paige Thornton
