Truly Breathtaking

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay in this beautiful home. It was larger than I expected and I wish we had other people to share it with, we had rented it for our anniversary. It is right next to Climb Works zip lining, which I highly recommend anyone to do. The views from this cabin were absolutely incredible. The cabin’s name is very accurate. I love the downstairs bathroom. It’s a bit far from other attractions, but not that bad, especially if you’re looking for a secluded spot with a beautiful view. My only disappointment was that when we walked into the cabin, the windows were dirty, and didn’t allow for a clear view of the incredible scenery. Fortunately, that was easily fixable. I bought my own Windex and took the time to clean them and it was absolutely beautiful after that. There was also a mother bear with two cubs that we saw several times near the cabin that made it extra special as well.

Don't think i would chose this cabin again.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at the Take My Breath Away cabin at Elm Spring Resort was unfortunately a disappointing experience overall.Upon arrival, the door code provided in the email did not work. We kept getting a red X, as if the code was incorrect. It was nighttime and raining, which made the situation even more frustrating. After calling and waiting on hold, the automated system advised that they could not help and instructed us to send an email. I emailed but received no response. I eventually sent a text message, and after confirming we were at the correct cabin, they provided a different code that worked. The entire process took approximately 45 minutes just to get inside. The cabin itself was spacious and had beautiful views, which were definitely positives. There was plenty of room for the six of us. However, the exterior and furniture were dated and showed their age, and there were several issues inside that affected our overall experience. After showering, I noticed a strong musty, mold-like smell in the bathroom. Upon investigating, I found spots in the grooves of the wall that appeared consistent with mold or mildew. I reported the issue, and a maintenance person came to look at it. They wiped the spots off one section of the wall but did not inspect the other walls where similar spots were present. My husband has asthma, so we chose not to use that bathroom for the remainder of our stay.We also found someone else's hair in one of the beds, which raised concerns about the thoroughness of the cleaning. Some of the light switches and electrical outlets also did not work properly.Another thing to consider is the location. It was approximately a 40-minute drive to pretty much anywhere we wanted to go, so guests should be prepared for a fair amount of driving if they plan to explore the surrounding area.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the difficulties you experienced during your stay at Take My Breath Away, particularly the delay in accessing the cabin and the concerns regarding cleanliness and maintenance. We understand how frustrating it must have been to arrive in the rain and wait to gain entry, and we regret that your concerns with the bathroom, bedding, and electrical fixtures affected your comfort. We are glad you enjoyed the spacious layout and beautiful views, but we recognize that these positives did not make up for the issues you encountered. Your feedback is important to us, and we will share these concerns with our team for review. We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention and are sorry we fell short of your expectations. We truly hope to have a better opportunity to serve you.

Band Aids and Hairballs and Bears, oh my.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was remote, as wanted and expected...and lent to seeing big furry friends pretty much every morning. All of which we were seeking. However, directions actually getting to the cabin were not so accurate. Which was fine...we figured it out. Were slightly delayed getting in because the cleaning crew was also delayed...came in to wet floors, dirty mirrors, toe nails on the kitchen floor, noodles on the counters and hairballs in the shower. (Didn’t see that until they wrapped around my foot)...we stripped the sheets and bought our own because they had hair and footprints on them; but, when we said the towels were not clean and asked for new ones, and were directed to the washing machine...we felt a little slighted. I wouldn’t put this on the hosts as much as the cleaning/maintenance company. If advertising a theater room, user friendly components are helpful. The 4 remotes attached to lanyards and mathematical equations to use the set up made us just watch TV in the master bed at night. The cabin overall was amazing though. Super cool layout and honestly very welcoming aside from the lack of cleaning company attention. Watching the rainstorms across the mountains was epic. Would totally love to recommend but only with the guarantee of a truly professional cleaning not one done by the current service.
Respuesta de VrboOwner el 23 de jul de 2026
