Joel's place: cozy 2 bedroom cottage with heated pool

Cute 2 bedroom detached Spanish style cottage with shared heated pool. Sleeps 4 adults. Joel is one of two outdoor cats I have and he hangs out here on the back porch. In total I have three small cottages on a oversized city lot with three private outdoor spaces and a heated pool everyone shares.

I live in one of the cottages.

The house was remodeled in 2024 and has 2 queen bedrooms with a second flat screen TV in one bedroom and desk for an office in the second. This cottage is at the front of the property and has its own private entrance and outdoor and covered patios. Finished to a high standard the 1931 cottage is just 1 block to Lucerne Avenue and two blocks to the main downtown district, Publix supermarket and Starbucks. You are less than a mile to the Lake Worth Public Beach on Palm Beach Island.

The cottage shares the pool with the Casita Azul (also on VRBO). All are on a large privacy fenced lot. There is ample free parking on the street with off street parking for one car. There are separate lounge and dining areas, separate gas BBQ grilles for each house and free separate laundry facilities.

The cottage has a full kitchen with gas stove, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. There is two large flat screen TVs with WiFi and Comcast cable package.

A - Cute, convenient location, clean, cozy

We were here for 5 days. Weve been to Lake Worth multiple times and stayed in many places. This place is a keeper. Comfy queen beds, great TVs, stocked kitchen and a heated pool. On a quiet side street with adequate street parking, it is just a few blocks from the main strips of restaurants (great variety) and shops. The host was accessible but not the least bit intrusive. Highly recommend!

Month stay in April

Small cottage but fine for myself and wife. A little tight with three visitors but we managed. Very clean and Roger, the host, and his caretaker Sandy, were very friendly and full of information and recommendations. Central air would be good, as the window ac units were noisy. Great location. On the edge of downtown so very walkable with plenty of dining and happy hour options. Short drive to lots of neighboring towns. Beach a mile drive.

Enchanting Stay with Amazing Host and Awesome Swimming Pools

So cozy.

We went to be. There was family for Christmas and I felt at home. I absolutely love this place. It was clean. It was cozy. We had everything we needed and the host couldn't be more wonderful. I got to meet the Very nice people, stay there In the other cottages. And there's not 1 but 2 pools, they're beautiful. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent Setting for a Get Away in Paradise

Fabulous accommodations. Cute cottage with all the amenities. The indoor and outdoor spaces are so welcoming and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, sunning, floating and the location is within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, & downtown Lake Worth Beach. There are many close beaches to explore. We can’t wait to stay here on our next trip. Roger is an excellent host.

Our week away from New jersey!

Perfectly quiet but near everything. Minutes from the beach and walking distance to restaurants, bars and a great Publix! This place was exactly as pictured - with the wandering cats outside who came over to say hello. The pools were perfect, and the cabana provided much needed shade. From first opening the door to locking it the last time we had the perfect spot to enjoy the week. Totally recommend!

A perfect laid back setting

So cute and quaint!

We have never used Vrbo before, this was are first time and it was better than expected. Roger was a great host. He showed us around the property, gave us some tips of places to eat that were local. The cottage was so cute and clean. The pools were great and we enjoyed the evening atmosphere. Definitely would come back and stay again.

Relaxing getaway

Great area, easy to walk to downtown. We used uber to go to Delray and West Palm beach. Roger gave us a great breakfast tip. Go! You won't be disappointed. Enjoyed the pools and the properties. Very nice hosts!

Everything I Hoped it Would Be

Roger was such a great host and his property was the perfect oasis for our weekend get-away. The house is cute, comfy and clean and had absolutely everything we needed. The back yard and pool area is set up like a little private resort and was it was so nice to be able to go right out the back door to swim or have coffee by the pool. The location is great. Very close to the beach and the cute little town. And Roger was so friendly and helpful and just a really nice guy. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family and hope to get back there myself someday.

Paradise!

Our family of 4 just returned from 5 days at Joel's Place. It was perfect! The cottage had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The private outdoor shower was a huge hit! Especially when rinsing off sandy bodies and clothes! The two pools were very clean, warm, and included floaties and pool toys. The location is perfect! Close to restaurants, shopping, and most importantly, the BEACH! We spent most of our time at Lake Worth Beach. Lots of space to spread out, even on the weekend. Roger was a great host. Personable, knowledgeable, easy-going, accommodating.. I could go on and on. If you're thinking about this rental... GO FOR IT!! Thanks, Roger, for making our family trip wonderful!

Perfect cozy cottage! Excellent owner! Clean! Fun!

Roger is a truly great guy. The property is kept up beautifully. He's super kind, helpful and down to earth! We will definitely be back anytime we come visit family and friends! And, bonus, if you ever wnat to come down iwth your extended family or a group of family or friends, it's perfect for that! Reasonable pricing and 3 cottages with 2 heated pools and many cooking/grilling/seating areas. Close to Lake Ave, grocery shopping, starbucks, the beach, golf courses and really everything in and around palm beach within 15-25min! Go! Stay! Relax! Roger's thought of and covered everything for you! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Joel's place is amazing!

First impression is that of a cute little house with two small bedrooms. Packed tightly next to other small looking homes. Step out the back door and WOW! There is a small patio. Move through a short walkway, and there is a swimming pool. Which leads through a gate into a large patio, set with chairs, tables, grills and a cabana. Move across the patio, through the gate and there is another swimming pool with its own patio area. The whole are is fenced in, well decorated and landscaped. It just has the feeling of a private little paradise! Rodger is the host (Joel is the cat😊). Rodger is more than amazing. He lives right there on the property. Kind, curtious, very friendly and so helpful. Rodger has that amazing ability to always be around if you need him, then moves on and gives complete privacy. He has that tack of never being overbearing. Joel's place, in my opinion, is far better than any hotel. The beach is just a short drive away. And anything one could ever need is very close by. This would be the perfect place to bring an extended family.

December weekend getaway

The owner Roger was delightful and very helpful! Location was close to everything we needed. Our cottage was cozy, comfortable and well equipped. We loved the beautiful pools and outdoor living spaces! We could hear the trains going by now and then, but it did not take away from our pleasant experience. Good value for the cost. Excellent stay

We had a wonderful stay! Our cottage was very clean, well equipped and perfect for 4 people. The grounds were beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed the pool areas and the other relaxation area’s immensely! Roger is an amazing host! So friendly, helpful and went above and beyond for us since we got in so late! The location is awesomely! Within walking distance to grocery, restaurants and shopping. 5 minutes from the beach! Would come back here in a heartbeat!

I'm Roger and I live on site in one of the three cottages in the compound we have. I split my time between Florida and Germany where I have a flat in a castle. I have been hosting guests at my properties in Lake Worth Beach from more than 8 years. I speak English, German, Spanish and little bit of Dutch.

The compound is located in the Lake Worth Beach Arts District which is a diverse community which looks a lot like Key West with many historic wooden cottages and an old timey downtown area. Guests are always surprised how laid-back it is here.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We have three cottages (I live in one of them) which share a large outdoor space with many private areas and a new heated pool, which is a luxury for our downtown location. For cat lovers, we have three rescue cats (Joel, Maytag and Culita) which roam the property.
