Esta casa recientemente renovada de 4 habitaciones cuenta con un espacioso plano de planta abierto con puertas y ventanas corredizas de pared a pared, permitiendo que la luz natural penetre en toda la casa. Beautiful home with all the amenties. We utilized the boat dock, hot tub, kayaks, and game room. Fully equipt large kitchen. Had an amazing time. Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge was a quick 20 min drive. Bonus- Our dogs enjoyed being able to be a part of the vaction!

The property was perfect for our family vacation. The house was clean and had everything we needed to cook all but 1 meal for 8 people! We enjoyed the game room, hot tub, the kayaks and dock, and the boys enjoyed figuring what bait caught the most blue crab! The location was perfect to launch from and had plenty of parking for our 3 vehicles.

Captain’s Cove was great!

We loved sitting on the deck in the morning and being visited by the resident ducks. The hot tub was fabulous after a long day at the beach. It was quiet and remote. The house is big and beautiful. The front door was a little difficult to open. Would definitely stay again!

We had a great week at Diving Duck! The house is amazing and the newly added game room and hot tub made our stay even more fun. We enjoyed some kayaking as well. Plenty of space in the kitchen and family room. We highly recommend Capt. Matt at Marshland Charters for a morning or afternoon of fishing. My daughter caught the keeper flounder.

Diving Duck

The house was gorgeous, but it was advertised as a 5 bedroom and there was only 4. I think the realty company handled it very well and I feel that the owner was not open with them about not having the 5th room done. This caused a huge problem for us as it made my adult children sleep in the same room as their young children and one set of adult children to sleep on a VERY uncomfortable futon under a bunk bed. The bunk beds in that room were SO loud squeaking the entire night long that we could hear them in the other bedrooms. The squeaking was unbearably loud, and my adult kids were unable to sleep all night and he worked during the day without sleep. I called several times asking about the 5th bedroom because there were no pictures of a 5th bedroom and each time, I was told yes there's definitely 5 bedrooms. We were given a refund of some money for this, but no one could sleep in that room with the kids moving all night. Adults should not be expected to sleep on bunk beds. The linen package that I paid $300 extra for only came with sheets. The young lady who answered the on-call number was going to come out at like 11:30 or midnight to bring us towels and washcloths. I told her no I do not want her driving at night with all the deer so please wait until morning. This made it difficult for us but kept her safe and she was SO accommodating saying "really, it's no problem!" Safety 1st! The last problem we had was I still don't understand the HOA ruling that only 8 out of the 10 people that were allowed to stay in the house for the week were allowed to use the amenities even though I was paying $50 a week for them and had already paid my money for the house without being told of this new "rule". Houses should ONLY be advertised for 8 people or informed up front of this policy! I would NEVER have rented this house if I had known. How do I choose who can swim and who can't? It's not fair! Bad enough I was charged for my 2 little ones and when we went to the Marina, I was told that I didn't have to pay for them, they were free. Lea Anna even purchased me 2 week passes for them to get all 10 included! Thank you again Lea Anna! We LOVED the house, amenities, marina, restaurant, and all the ponies and pony festivities but... we shouldn't have had to have all those problems. It was a beautiful experience house but disappointing issues. Thank you to all the support and help the realty company gave to us! We were given a partial refund on the house, too!

The house was perfect for our group. Plenty of space and everything was clean upon arrival. We were well aware the location was 30 min from the island and 50 min from the beach. The dock and kayaks were a great bonus as was the hot tub. A few things to note, the flies getting in the house were a nuisance and we had to buy a fly swagger as there wasn’t one in the property, I went to do a quick kitchen sweep and then saw there was no dust pan so I had to take out the vacuum which was just an unnecessary extra step. The bottom bed in the 2 bunk is incredibly uncomfortable and only suitable for a child to sleep, I’d recommend a pillow topper to make it bearable. The staff at the marina were difficult to work with and clearly had issues with the rental property staff. We were unable to get amenities passes until 4 days into our stay, luckily the rental property staff comped us one day to access the pool for 8 of us. Overall we loved the house!

Everyone coming here it's a nice house but ocean city is over an hour away not 30 minutes and all the amenities are closing early or the pool with the bar was only open once in my week long stay. The staff at the marina club very rude but I had no choice they called me two weeks before I came and lowered the occupancy on the house I rented. They tried to ocomadate me and lowered the price on a second house but not free which it should have been. I am really disappointed in my stay beware of this rental I should have taken a refund which is my fault.

The house was perfect for our group. Kitchen was beautiful as were the decks and the view. A note for the owner/property manager the leak downstairs needs to be attended to 2x a day or it will overflow and the back locks on the Hot Tub were broken when we arrived. Unfortunately, mother nature was not kind to us, so we weren't able to enjoy the amenities. Thanks for a great house.

Total relaxation in a beautiful, very well equipped home.

Beautiful, waterfront home in a convenient location. The views are fantastic, we had a great week kayaking in the bay touring Chincoteage and Assateague . If you like to cook - you'll love the kitchen; it is large and very well equipped. We hope to return later this fall and definitly next year.

Nice views but you must bring everything - sheets, towels, hand soap, etc

My family rented this property for a wedding. Because of COVID, it turned out being used by only 2 people. We stayed in the downstairs master bedroom. The bed was VERY comfortable. We did not use upstairs at all. We also did not use TV, stove, etc. so I have no review of those things. The outdoor space was amazing - sunset was breathtaking. There are a few things to make sure you know before booking: there are NO bed sheets or towels of any kind. There is NO hand soap. There is NO iron, hair dryer, etc. We arrived to a “welcome” bag that had a small thing of dish soap, one laundry detergent, and one roll of papertowels. I would’ve expected to at least have some hand soap from the dollar store especially given Covid. The place said it had been cleaned, but whatever was used to mop the floor left sticky film on ground. We had to sleep on top of the comforter since there were no sheets. For people who travel on a plane, I don’t think this place is a good option. A hotel would be much easier.

Relaxing on the water

The property was easy to locate. It was clean. Only issue was that they asked us not to use powdered detergent for the dishwasher but powdered detergent is what was provided in the welcome bag. Kitchen tools provided covered everything, from measuring cups to cookie sheets and nice pots and pans of all sizes. Provided plenty of space for 4 adults and three kids.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely view. Great amount of interior space. Large kitchen with everything you need for cooking (byo salt & pepper) . Nice size bedrooms as well. It is It’s clearly mostly used as rental property and is still under construction/ renovation. There is very little decor in the house and the couches have seen their better days. There were minor issues with the house , condensation from a vent above one of the second floor beds, not enough seating for dining, and tiny deck overlooking the water. Captain’s cove’s vibe itself has changed since we first began choosing to stay there vs on chincoteague. Received a cold reception when we paid for our guest passes, and lifeguards behaved like our kids were annoyances because they were having fun - not being obnoxious or loud. Definitely our last year staying at captain’s cove.

When we arrived the electricity in the first upstairs bedroom was out but when we alerted maintenance they came and fixed the problem right away. The association did not inform us that there was a basement being constructed but it made us anxious to want to book next year. The view of the water was absolutely amazing and relaxing. The TVs did not work nor did the internet but we noticed that the description states only some houses come with that luxury. It would have been nice to know that this one did not.

Great location

The property was nice. There were dishes in the dishwasher(dirty 0r clean)? There was a full trashcan. There was to be instructions on the refrigerator about rules and things but it was not there. I tried to email concerns but the wifi reception was so bad that it never went through. So I called on Tuesday to find out what we needed to do to find out the office was closed, nothing was an emergency so I called on Thursday, which was kinda silly because if we were breaking rules we had already done it. Rich (I think his name was) came to pick up the trash and was very friendly. Everyone in the neighborhood was friendly and nice. When we swept up to leave we moved the couches and found a cartridge for a vape and many straws, pencils and dirt. Our hope is we left the place clearer then when we arrived. Those are really minor complaints and I want you to know that we had a really good time, the rooms were good for the whole family, we had 4 different families. We liked the pool and really enjoyed our days at the beach. We bought kayaks and had fun with them off the dock, we crabbed, rode bikes and really enjoyed the under deck and ping pong. I would suggest to the owners to enclose the under deck so it can be enjoyed more, the mosquitos were nasty! Our whole family, 8 adults, 1 teen and 4 under 5 really had a great time and would recommend the house to anyone looking to vacation in the area. Thanks

We loved the house and the view. The neighbors were lovely and the neighborhood was quiet. The beds were very comfortable, which is rare in a rental. The negatives were the long drive to the island (30-35 min) and the WiFi and cell service were really bad. Additionally we were not permitted access to the pool and other Captain’s Cove amenities (one of the main reasons we picked this rental).

Family Weekend Getaway

The house is beautiful and located in the perfect place. It was 2 hours away from our home. We wanted to get away to relax from the city and enjoy our family. Our family had a great time fishing, swimming, and just enjoying one another. This home is located right on the waterfront with beautiful views across the bay. We spent most of our time fishing. We're definitley looking forward to returning to the area. A few downsides we had came across were the limited TV access/ease of use for the family room TV, poor wifi connection, and the refrigerator wasn't that clean. Also, there were a lot of ants in the kitchen. With a few minor updates like adding lights underneath the house (for night fishing, hanging out at night), replacing of lightbulbs in the house (some lights didn't work), more outdoor seating for large families, and user friendly tv (there were like 5 remotes for the living room) we'd definitley return here. Thank you for having us and being quick to reply to all of our questions/concerns!

Diving duck was beautiful. The view from the top deck was spectacular. We were able to fish and crab right off the bottom deck. The captains cove community was phenomenal. The outdoor pool looked brand new and the tiki bar was perfect. Booking with this company was easy and they were extremely responsive to any issues. Great vacation spot only downside was poor WiFi. It was hard to find any cell service to catch up on emails, etc. other than that, perfect stay!

The property is absolutely beautiful. We loved being right on the water and the neighbors were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the check in process was horrible. I called at 9:30 the 20th and asked for an early 1pm check in. The woman said that would not be a problem and that she would send me the access code. We got there at noon and just sat on the dock and chatted with the neighbor. The cleaning crew showed up at 12:15. I thought wow they are going to clean this entire house in 45 minutes, that will be tough because there were only 2 of them. Need less to say they weren't finished by 1. The property manager called me and was absolutely beyond belief rude to me. Saying I was trying to get in the house while they were cleaning, which I was not. She ended up hanging up on me and when I called back would not answer the phone. I have never had a business treat me as badly as this company did. I have rented from this company several times and never have had a problem. Very disappointed that they started our vacation this way.

August 2017 Stay

We had two families, 4 adults and four teens for the week. The house was fantastic. Very clean and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The location on the lagoon allowed for plenty of time in the sun and water. Kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and crabbing were just what we needed to keep everyone busy. The Captain's Cove amenities were also wonderful. The staff were always very pleasant and helpful. Sunsets on the deck were incredibly peaceful and relaxing too. We all had a great vacation week at Diving Duck and would not hesitate to return again!
