Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Haven is an affordable older but comfortable home close to Cylinder Beach and the local shops. It does require some maintenance with the back verandah unexpectedly barricaded off and quite a bit of mildew in the bathroom. A solid comfortable home with everything needed for a family holiday.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We return to The Haven again and again because it is very welcoming and ideally situated. The only criticisms we have is that there are a few things needing a little bit of attention at the moment. The fly-screens all could do with replacing and the bed in the first bedroom down the hallway really needs replacing. Apart from those things it would be five stars all the way and the house would be super comfortable. The newly refurbished front deck looks great!

Straddie Long Weekend

Great location- we didn’t need to use our car at all - easy walk to the beach and the gorge. The house was hot but the deck was perfect for meals and relaxing.

Easter holiday in Haven on Straddie

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful with books, board games and cards provided, and other island mementos such as seaside pictures and crafted mementos throughout the house. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and appliances. The bathroom was clean. The only suggestion I would make to the owner/s is to have ceiling fans or air con installed as it was hot sometimes even in April. Overall the feel of the house was well loved and comfortable. I think the family who lived there originally must have treasured living in Haven and living on Straddie - just a guess.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been returning to the Haven for the past 5 years now because it is so welcoming and in such a great location. It may not have all the mod cons but it sure makes up for that with it's great setting in a quiet street and close beach, shops and pub. We love the wildlife that comes to visit and the tranquil garden setting. The only gripe we have is that possibly the beds ( in the two up stairs bedrooms) are getting a little worn out and probably need replacing. Especially, the one in the second bedroom.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We once again enjoyed a very relaxing holiday at the Haven. Situated in a great location. Easy to get to the beach,shops and pub. The Haven is an easy going beach house surrounded by lush green gardens. This was our fourth stay and we love it. We only took one star off (property's general condition) because the mattress in the first bedroom down the hallway really does need replacing.

Great location, top dollar for what it is

Enjoyable location, comfortable house. The standard was that of a holiday shack. I could have stayed at q1 also by the water for a lower nightly cost. Eg hotchpotch of camping cutlery crockery, cracked and chipped. No soap or shampoo. Basic expectations below par.

Great house

Great house, perfect for our family. Kids loved the kangaroos in the garden and we liked being able to walk to the beach.
