Great Staycation

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The house is very well organized, check-in was seamless and the property is very peaceful. I cannot recommend it enough.

Beautiful Property

We had a great stay. House and back yard just as described, clean, and in great shape. Property was so nice it made it hard to go on day trips to explore San Diego area. San Vincente Golf Course: 4 minute drive from house, was a challenge, in good shape, and economical. Thanks for the great hospitality.

Perfect choice

I’ve never been more happy with a rental choice than at Cheryl‘s home – she made us feel welcome and was helpful throughout, and the house has everything you need for an enjoyable time – lots of space for group together, well stocked kitchen, and an amazing backyard and pool area. We will definitely return and rent again!

Nothing like a great Kitchen for a girls get-away! I think my home is uniquely stocked for a vacation rental because I literally left everything there. So, not only is it fully stocked, it is stocked with quality products that I use myself. Guests have been consistently pleased and I couldn't be happier about that :) Thanks for cleaning up so well. Beautiful spacious home!

We rented this home for our wedding weekend in Ramona and the home and property were just amazing! So spacious and we had everything we needed for the weekend. Cousin Trip 2024

The house was fantastic for our group of 12. The house met all of our needs perfectly. Plenty of space for us not to be tripping over each other. And Cheryl was fantastic - always very responsive. She even added a coffee maker (there was only a Keurig) to accommodate our big group!! Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. :-)

Amazing house, great holiday

We stayed here for 10 nights and had a fab time. The house was beautiful and had plenty of room for all of us. Outside was amazing, loads of seating and we all loved the pool, hot tub and basketball court. Great place to relax with the family and the Ramona and San Diego area are lovely with plenty to do. None of us wanted to come home. Thanks for having us Cheryl. And thanks Heidi for looking after us during our stay. We'd all love to come back.

What a wonderful stay in this beautifully appointed home! Probably the best VRBO rental we have ever stayed in! The views are glorious along with the pool and comfortable home my family couldnt have asked for any better. Chefs kitchen and bathrooms are divine and the beds are super comfortable providing maple space for the 7 of us. The kids loved the pool and game room! The game room for the kids was a huge bonus and provided a ton of entertainment and fun! The surrounding area is super charming and the wineries are top grade! Terry and Cheryl are absolute made our stay one we will never forget. Thanks so much again for your hospitality!!!!

Beautiful home for a relaxing weekend!

We enjoyed our weekend here so much! A big group of young moms/friends got to sneak away for the weekend from our families and we all had an amazing time! For as big of a group as we had- the house made it feel like it was just a few of us. Lots of room to spread out, relax and enjoy the amenities. The owner and manager were extremely helpful in helping us plan, answering questions, getting us hiking maps and they always responded very promptly. There were a few minor hang ups when we arrived but they were very helpful to get it sorted quickly! We will be coming back as this home was EXACTLY what we had envisioned for a girls weekend away- peaceful, restful, fun and relaxing!

Your group was so great! What a blessing to be able to provide a place for a group of mom's to get away for a weekend of relaxation and fellowship! I must confess that my cleaning crew definitely noticed you lady's had been there haha! You left my home in a loved and lived in condition.... just as a group of mothers on a retreat should do! It warmed my heart to know you were comfortable and had a great time. (oh and just for the record, they said it was immaculate compared to when I come to town lol!) And thank you so much for your patience and grace on some of our unexpected issues. It turns out the house was hit by lightning! I hope to have you back again soon so we can make that inconvenience up to you. I would also love to have those dad's come stay. It's a great space for men to get together for some BBQ and golf :) Thanks again!

great for families

Thanks to Cheryl and Heidi for the great stay at her home. The house is amazing!! Plenty of room for 3 families - 6 adults and 5 kids. Even though it rained for 2 days, we had everything we needed to enjoy a family Christmas together. The kitchen is well stocked with all we needed for meals. The home is comfortable and well decorated. I love the patio space. We enjoyed that despite the rain. The kids loved the game room and basketball court. Once the rain cleared, the view and the sunsets are amazing!! We even enjoyed the hot tub - a very unique experience with temps in the 50's and a cold misting rain!! I highly recommend Cheryl and Heidi and this location!!

Truly a great stay

A group of 7 of us family members stayed here and everything I mean EVERYTHING was excellent. The space was played out great, they didn’t have too many restricted rules to follow, everything was meticulously cleaned. Towels for pool? Check batteries for games? Check. Clean pool? Check. Filtered water? Check. We’ve stayed at a lot of places and this was by far the best stay. We didn’t have to worry about anything and it showed that Cheryl is an individual who enjoys sharing her space with others. We treated the space with respect and the host certainly did the same for us. You can comfortably have 10 people there. Can’t say enough good things about Cheryl’s place.

This is the best rental property I've ever stayed in, bar none. It is also the cleanest rental house I've ever stayed in. It is simply superb beyond any description. Honestly the photos don't do it justice. There is ample room for your family, a downstairs bedroom for any older relatives who can't navigate stairs well, lots of bathrooms, and plenty of communal spaces both inside and out. We loved the back deck and gorgeous pool with a view. We used the pool and all the outdoor spaces including the master deck upstairs. It is so, so quiet. It is simply perfection. Do not hesitate to contact Cheryl, she is so responsive and helpful and kind. I feel blessed to have been able to stay here during my son's wedding weekend, which came with its own set of stressors. The house took away some of my stress. The master steam shower is so great. Thoughtful touches like a stocked coffee bar (Keurig) as well as a large kitchen that was fully appointed. There are plenty of instructions through the house so you're never at a loss on how to operate something. Christina is the host's assistant and she was wonderful too. Totally responsive and helpful throughout our stay. A If you have to be in Ramona, this here is your place. Eat at the golf course for dinner one night, 4 minute drive from the house, and eat in downtown Ramona for breakfast at Marinade on Main. Both are excellent! You may not want to leave the house though so bring your own supplies and enjoy the peace and tranquility.

Perfect vacation house!

We just got back from a week's stay at Cheryl's vacation house in Ramona. It was fabulous! The house is very well taken care of. It was extremely clean with very comfortable beds. We have 3 kids and everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom with one room left over that we never even used. We never felt like we were on top of each other. The kitchen is very well stocked with spices, condiments, and pantry items. Unfortunately we went to the store before checking out what was there and ended up buying unnecessary items. Totally our own fault. We were just so excited to get our shopping done and get back to the house that we forgot to do an inventory first. The pool area and hot tub are amazing! It's just like having your own private resort. Loved the game room and the massage chairs were awesome! It's about an hour from San Diego so expect a drive if you are planning on doing a lot there, but totally worth it to come back to such a beautiful relaxing home. Heidi met us on our arrival and was so nice and welcoming. We loved our stay and can't wait to go back!

The perfect getaway home

If I could give more stars, I would. The rental was exactly what we were expecting and hoping for: the perfect getaway home. We had planned a weekend of wine tasting and exploring the surrounding area, but we didn't realize that the house already had everything that we were looking for. Outdoors and indoors, it felt like we were living in the lap of luxury. Every single person on our trip commented on how nice everything at the house was, and how much there was to do there! Indoors and outdoors, we were easily entertained for the entire duration of our stay. Everyone wished our stay could have lasted longer. The house itself was extremely clean and up to date. Little details like being able to connect the music from our phones to the stereo made things that much more easy and enjoyable. The kitchen was huge and very well stocked. There were plenty of linens and towels to accommodate our pool-loving tendencies. We definitely didn't realize how much we would appreciate the massage chairs. The best part overall was the host, Cheryl. She was extremely friendly and responsive during the emails and messages leading up to our stay, and even nicer in person. You really can't ask for a better host, we were very lucky. We look forward to coming back to stay again soon, hopefully for a much longer trip next time.

Experience beauty, comfort and the service at its finest!!!

What a beautiful, well designed, professionally decorated, fully stocked house! This house has everything you could think of - plus – dozens of things you could not. It has a gorgeous , oversized deck, built in on top of boulders with unobstructed picture perfect mountain views. Best to describe the beauty and the comfort of this house is - Ritz Carlton at its finest!! Despite few unpredicted “personal” events we had, our family made just best of it to enjoy the beauty of this property. But what made our stay much more enjoyable and comfortable was the property owner Cheryl’s and property managers Heidi’s warm welcome, and most importantly getting in touch with us even when we didn’t even contacted them, when we experienced some of the unpredicted “personal” events! That just speaks to itself, how wonderful and courteous they are. Our family can’t stress enough our gratitude to Cheryl and Heidi!! Heidi greeted us when we arrived, and from the first minute we step inside the house she made us feel “home”. She explained everything in details so well that we didn’t even have to use the information booklet that was there for reference. At our departure Heidi was there also to wish us farewell, she waited patiently till we loaded our stuff! That’s just service at its best! Thank you again Heidi! Again, I want to take the opportunity and express my gratitude and appreciation to Cheryl and Heidi, and wish them all the best!! Sincerely, Gary Akopyan & family.

Hi Gary! I'm so sorry my response to your review comes so late. I am new to the site and have just figured out it is an option to respond to all my amazing guests. I cant tell you how much it means to me for my guest to have felt well cared for during there stay. It is our goal to make each guest feel like my home is their home :) I'm so glad that your "personal mishap" played out OK. Peace and tranquility.

Amazing place to spend a quiet summer weekend with a large family group. There is plenty of room for hanging out together (10 of us fit comfortably at the dinner table), and the location, the view and especially the infinity pool took our breath away! Cheryl is an awesome host, incredibly responsive and attentive.

Beautiful Home

Great house with everything you needed to relax in Ramona. Cheryl and Heidi were a pleasure to talk with and meet. Incredible views in a nice quiet community. Can't beat the view of the stars at night. Would definitely rent again.

The View! The House! The Pool! The Management! All A++!

When you rent to eight women with twelve years of vacation home getaway experience in Southern California, there's bound to be some "Needs Improvement" in the review. This home, however, passed the test in every way. We loved relaxing in the pool overlooking Ramona, preparing meals together in the kitchen, sleeping in late on comfortable beds, and kicking back on the couches listening to music and sharing our laughter. This property has everything a group wants in a vacation house, whether on summer vacation, at a fall gathering, gathering for winter holidays or escaping for spring break. The owner and property manager offer excellent communication and a notebook of instructions for devices in the home. The price is right for this beautiful getaway destination. We'll be back again and again!!

Beautiful Home on a Mountain Top

This was a beautiful large home that was able to house a family reunion held in Romona, California. Beautiful pool, hot tub, and views over viewing the hills of Romona. Hosts and owner were very nice and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Check in was easy with Heidi there to welcome you in person and answer any questions. Highly recommended for older parties looking for a relaxing environment. Not very close to anything as a warning, with lots of hills, and turns to get to location. Highly recommend the golf club 1 mile away for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Great home tho.

Excellent Summer Vacation Rental! Incredible pool & views! Super cool game room!

We stayed here with some of our wedding party during our wedding weekend and had the time of our lives! My bridesmaids and I got ready in the master bedroom (hair done in the bathroom and makeup done on the beautiful balcony)! The pool is amazing, and if you like to cook, so is the kitchen! Ample storage and refrigerator/freezer space to stock with groceries. Cheryl and Heidi are easy to work with and extremely warm and welcoming gals! We hope to arrange another future stay perhaps for an anniversary! We recommend bringing a couple extra towels and blankets if you have more than 6 people (we had 10 people). This is a must-rent in Ramona! Hard to find anything close to this with a pool. Cheers!

I'm glad you all had a fantastic time! We aim to please! Thank you for all the communication and thought prior to booking. I love it when a guest takes care to communicate their needs so I can insure they are investing into the right home for their specific plans. Of course it also helps me to know that I am inviting the right groups and activities into my home and community. Luxurious, Large and Fun Place to Stay!

This was the perfect setting for our annual Book Club summer get away. The home was clean, well maintained, large, and elegant. The pool area had plenty of seating and we had a great time grilling dinners and sitting outside for most of our meals. The kitchen was large and stocked with the basics that we needed for cooking and serving meals. If you are planning a stay here it would be a good idea to remember to bring things like foil, zipper baggies, and storage containers for left over's. There were plenty of beds for the 9 of us and the house and the interior family room, living room and game rooms were roomy and comfortable. Bathrooms were plentiful and gorgeous. The pinnacle of the experience had to be the back yard, with the infinity pool, spa and outdoor fire pit. We spent a great deal of time in the pool and it was spectacular to see the view of the valley from the waters edge. Everyone loved the ambiance at this lovely home, and we all wished we had booked a longer stay!

The online property photos are true to description. The home is spacious with beautiful views.

My family & I looooved this home for our party of 8. Cheryl (owner) & Heidi (property manager) made our mini vacation stay very memorable. Cheryl & Heidi are both very warm and easy to talk to. Heidi met us on arrival & departure; toured the house with us & gave us great tips for restaurants/activities. The online photos were true to description. It was definitely worth the drive through the beautiful mountains. The house was quite spacious. No one felt overcrowded. Most of our vacay was spent lounging, dancing, bbq on the deck, made smores in the firepit, swimming & playing basketball all on this property. The views were breathtaking. The beds were very comfortable, even for 6'3 & 6'5 family members. My family thoroughly enjoyed this home away from home. Heidi was very attentive to any needs or questions we may have had during our stay. My family & I would definitely rent this property again. Thank you again Cheryl & Heidi!!!

Awesome!!

We had 6 adults and 2 small children. Adult couples each had their own, very comfortable bed and bath. TVs everywhere. The kitchen & open living room provided a perfect gathering place just off the Beautiful deck and the most amazing infinity pool and spa. Sunsets would have been better but we hardly had any clouds the entire week. The weather was very warm, but the covered deck and pool was the perfect escape during the day and the spa was great for the cooler evenings. We were there a week so we alternated days at the house with days at Seaworld, San Diego Zoo, and Legoland. All of these were about a hour away, but it was an easy, pretty drive. The Safari was very close but our grand kids were too small to go. Nice golf course 1/2 mile away but we couldn't seem to find the time to play. We also did an Escape Room adventure and the Barona Casino one night, which was absolutely great. Went "Geo-cashing" one day and found several within two miles. Cheryl and Heidi were great hosts and very quick to answer every question, which weren't many. The house was well stocked and the "white binder" had most of the answers. Highly recommended!!

Beautifully decorated and quite comfortable .

Magnificent pool and deck with scenic view of mountains. Feels as if you can reach out and touch them. Accommodations were perfect. Plenty of utensils, plates, and cookware. Would highly recommend

I originally bought my home in 1998 but lost it to the infamous California Cedar fire in 2003. Although all was lost in the fire a wonderful opportunity opened up to rebuild it into our own personal oasis. I enjoy people and thus designed the house to accommodate both indoor & outdoor gatherings.
