Property needs updated,saw a few cockroaches spindle missing on outdoor upper deck a small child could fall off the deck,not much of a welcome package loved the pool and area and very close to beach walkway

Great beach access

House was dirty so spent Saturday evening and Sunday morning cleaning. Dusted, swept and mopped kitchen floor which stuck to your feet. Food left in cupboards. Paid to have beds made and top bunk not made. House had 5 eating spoons and we had 10 people. Back sliding door easy to open but very very hard to shut. Slats falling off the door blinds. I’m sorry but I could not recommend this house to anyone.

There were multiple problems including the air filters that looked like they were never replaced. One was so clogged it folded in on itself from pulling air. One of the toilets barely worked and there was obvious previous water damage in many places as well as many cosmetic things that needed to be fixed and updated.

Excellent house, short walk to the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second year we've stayed in this house. It has great views to both sides, with a wetland behind the house with lots of birds. Somehow there are no mosquitoes! It's about a five minute walk to the beach, just across the road. You can hear the waves from the top deck. Also walkable to the fishing pier with a bar and restaurant. It's a good sized house, with four bedrooms and three full baths. There's also an outdoor shower which is nice for getting sand or fishing muck off before going inside. There's a games table with bumper pool. Great light in the house and convenient location near restaurants, shopping, etc.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: All of our children, their spouses, and our one grandchild joined us for the week at Simply Perfect. There were 7 adults and one baby. The layout and space of the house was perfect for us and we especially enjoyed the upper decks both front and back. We appreciated that the stairs were gated for the safety of the little one. The location was quiet and just a short walk to the beach, tennis court and pool. The kitchen was well stocked, and although a bit dated, the furnishings were comfortable and adequate. The only complaint was that we had to contend with various insects: excessive amounts of flies in the trash cans that were always seeing entrance into the house, as well as those lovely Palmetto bugs that wanted to share the upstairs space with us. Otherwise, a nice place that I would stay in again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Simply Perfect rental was not perfect. We had a very nice time, but the ceiling in a few rooms is pealing off and falling on the floor. There is also a closet door that has fallen off and is just pushed to the side. It could easily fall on someone. It does look like the house has some leaks as there is staining on the ceilings and walls in some rooms.

OBX Charm

We stayed here during an offshore fishing trip weekend. The location was great, close to everything. The house was very roomy and comfortable except the king bed needs a new mattress. It has become worn with a sink hole in the middle. The game room in the house was a nice surprise with roulette, craps, and a blackjack table. I would consider renting this property again. The only other negatives were that linens were an additional fee and there were no minor amenities left in the house like coffee filters. Cupboards are bare except for dishes.

Reviewer Comments: Everything was good except one thing, the dishwasher was not connected to counter top and as such the entire unit would fall outward when you pulled the inside shelves out to load or unload dishes. Easy to fix, but potentially a dangerous situation as dishes could easily fly out and shatter if you were not aware of the problem.

Just what we needed

House was exactly as described in listing, no more, no less. Kitchen was pretty well stocked with cooking essentials but if you know you’ll need something bring it just in case. There were deck chairs and a high top table with 4 chairs on the deck! Relatively short walk to the beach, about 5 minutes (house to the water). You need to bring paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues) as well as hand and dish soap, laundry detergent, etc. The outside shower had the best water pressure and was a huge help to have when getting back from the beach and all sandy. We had a wonderful time and this house was priced just right! Thank you!!

Good rental; some issues

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the rental was fine. The house is entirely carpeted (short shag) except for the kitchen and bathrooms if that matters to you. I was surprised because we were told the property was "completely renovated". We had trouble locating things like the wifi password and where the community pool was. We talked to three different agents at the rental agency and got completely wrong answers from them. The beds were very comfortable. There were two deck rail post missing; was surprised because I thought the house was inspected before the season. Little things like the remote needed batteries and one TV screen was cracked but not noticeable until it was turned on. I would rent again if the price was right and going up two flights of steps was OK.

After a couple of days we did find a couple of issues. But the realtor sent someone out to look at it and take care of it. Price was reasonable for the short time we had to book. I would and have made plans to do it again next year. 2020 here we come.
