Relaxation & Memories

We had a wonderful time staying! The property was very beautiful and had everything we needed and plus. Beautiful pool and lanai area. The dock was perfect for fishing and enjoying morning coffee. I really liked the lighting adjustability in the kitchen area. I would recommend a TV in the 2nd bedroom. Beds were very comfortable and clean updated bathrooms. We were able to enjoy 5 days of relaxation, swimming, and making memories. We come to Tampa every summer and would likely book again here. Thank you for being very responsive!

Vacation time with family

The house was great everything was available and most importantly it was clean. We enjoy the pool, marine and neighborhood. A great location for food, stores and entertainment. Would differently stay again. Thank you for being honest and helpful.

Beautiful home!

The house was clean and very comfortable. The grandkids loved the pool and fire pit. Swimming in the heated pool and then making s'mores hot tue spot! Cant wait to stayvthere again.

Wonderful Stay!

The house is in a quiet, residential location right on the water. We spent most of our time in the lanai, in the pool, or out on the dock fishing (lots of catfish!). Nice kitchen and appliances.

Family Vacation

My husband and I along with our 10 year old daughter spent a week at this property and it was perfect! Everything from check in to check out was so easy and smooth.

2nd Stay looking forward to 3rd stay

This is our 2nd stay at this home. The location is great. We are close to stores, Raymond James Stadium, Busch Gardens and so many more places. The home is clean and well taken care of. Both times we have been here we have received immediate responses to questions. The neighborhood is very nice. The Lanai is absolutely my favorite place to be when we’re there relaxing.

Awesome vacation home!!

This was a great stay. The house is very nice and clean and as shown. Well stocked and with the most extra misc. supplies we’ve seen before at a vacation home, ie. the scotch tape, sunscreen, and Tums we ended up needing. The couch is very comfy and can fit several people. The pool was clean and refreshing each day. The sunsets were amazing, with us coming from the east coast. Great location with Publix, Target, and Starbucks nearby, and Clearwater Beach just a 45-min drive. We were just surprised to learn the boat lift was off limits and no cleats/space to dock our boat, so kept it in the spacious driveway, but we probably should’ve clarified it from the start, and it likely wouldn’t have changed our mind to rent it. The prior tenants took the neighborhood boat ramp key with them, but the neighbor across the street generously let us borrow his for the day and was very friendly discussing the ramp with my husband. We would definitely like to stay here again!!

Amazing!

Sunset Dream made our family vacation feel like we were right at home! The home was spotless you couldn’t have forgotten anything because they had it all there. From every household item to everything you would need for the beach. The location is perfect close to the airport, local shops, center of Tampa, and Clearwater Beach. Jax and Mickey responded to all my messages quickly we will definitely be back! Thank you both for allowing our family in your home. ❤️

Beautiful and relaxing!

This house was amazing! It was spotless and had everything we needed and more! The owner was very quick to respond to our questions. The pool was amazing. My kiddos spent most of their time in it. It was great to be able to walk to the end of the yard and throw a fishing line in! We could but have asked for a better place to stay for my daughter’s senior trip!

Amazing property!

Jax place had all the amenities and was close to everything! Owners were very responsive as well! The home was clean, beautiful, peaceful neoghborhood and neighbors. Lots to do including pool, fishing, firepit, and grilling. We really enjoyed the screened in porch at night! So relaxing. They really thought of everything!

Relaxation and Fun in the Sun

Have been looking forward to this holiday for a year now, and as I have been to Florida and Tampa many times, I had high expectations. The place never disappointed,it was lovely , clean, had everything we needed for our 2 week holiday . Plenty of fishing off the Dock , and caught too many catfish and Stingrays to mention ( squid worked best ) fishing on the bottom . The hosts were amazing , and lovely , and could not do enough to help. Neighbors were polite and quiet, all in all ,,, WE LOVED THIS PLACE 😁😁💞

Rented month of March 2023

The home is in a quiet and safe neighbourhood and grocery stores are close. Owner response is quick. The house is in fair condition. This is not a 5 star resort. From the day we arrived to the day we left there were issues with the pool. We felt the water was quite low when we arrived. When I contacted the owner he advised: “Yes, the pool water seems to be leaking somewhere. So, please fill as needed and the pool heater will keep it to the correct temperature”. Now this became our responsibility and I am sure this was known before our arrival. Bikes are listed and they don’t have any. When I asked where they were stored the response; “I'm sorry, we have not replaced the bikes yet, as they were not brought back. I forgot to update the VRBO website, as I updated ….”. Last I checked the listing still states there are bikes. The “handyman” was to come to replace a light bulb. No one came. They have no one in Tampa that they can contact to do small odd repairs. As advised by the owner when asked. The house is tired. From broken cupboards, frayed carpeting, dirty ceiling vents and flooring that is lifting (tripping hazard) and more. It was not at all what we expected. Others has given this property 5 stars. Based on other properties we have rented this does not compare.

Safe, Dog Friendly, Enjoyable Property

We stayed for the month of February 2023. The check-in process was seamless and the keypad on the front door makes entering and exiting a breeze. We walked our dog at least twice every day and rode our bikes throughout the neighbourhood. We can definitely confirm that the neighbourhood is quiet and safe. The back yard is fully fenced which is perfect for a dog. We really liked the big lanai, the outdoor pool and being on a canal. It was great to have a car port to keep our vehicle out of the sun. The new fridge, stove, washer and dryer are very nice. The owners are very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We were very comfortable staying at the property and we can recommend it. Enjoy your stay!

Our Vacation

Honestly, I could go on and in about this property... it was absolutely beautiful and my family enjoyed ot tremendously. The house is perfect for a family and having the pool and scenery made it even better. Everything is in close proximity, the neighbors were friendly and helpful and I can say we didn't have to bother the owner but when we did it was always a quick response. You have the comfort of home while on vacation we were sad when it was time to leave. My husband loved the lighted palm trees as well I think they are half my pictures. This was a wonderful experience for us overall and besides our family outings it was nice to have the chance to be with our friends and family whom reside in Florida. We can not thank Jax and his wife for allowing us to make this the most remarkable vacation for our family. We will be planning a trip again in the near future.

Great location in Tampa proper

Great location to Tampa proper, Florida aquarium, Sparkman Wharf and the Riverwalk area. Price is great for the location and the property - it is reasonable and the location is right. Recommendations: more ceiling fans would be good. Only one, in the master bedroom. The lanai is a relaxing area, the fan was appreciated and was a great place to relax in the morning and evening. The pool was a bit warm and the electronics, although rarely used, were a bit complicated to use. All things considered, this was an enjoyable stay and appreciated the understanding of Jax when my son hit the panic alarm (so sorry!) would recommend this home for anyone interested in a quiet neighborhood and easy access to Tampa proper.

A great get away in Tampa!

The home was fabulous with pool and wide open kitchen area and the rooms were comfortable. The location was 20 mins away from Downtown Tampa. We ate at Ocean Prime which is one of best restaurant chains we visit in several cities. I would recommend this location to anyone. We will probably come back soon. The host was responsive and friendly. Great get away. Thanks Ken

We have been living in Puerto Rico (where I was born and raised) for the past 5 years. My husband and I are both able to work remotely but after Hurricanes Irma and Maria found ourselves literally in the dark for 2 months, unable to communicate with anyone off-island. We both boarded separate humanitarian flights (thank you United Airlines), me to Newark, him to JFK and spent the next 4 months living with my brother in Virginia. We had to leave our dog to be cared for by neighbors until we could return 6 weeks later to bring him to the U.S. :(


Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Work brought us both to Tampa, where after living in hotels for 2 months, we found this lovely home! The home is actually one of the Top 10 Mid-Century Moderns in Tampa and retains some of the glamour of that time, albeit there has been updating and remodeling. It is really a great little neighborhood, truly a gem! Safe, quiet, welcoming, sidewalks, a bit of a bird sanctuary, waterfront, serene.

We are now able to split our time between Tampa and Puerto Rico and travel a bit, for both work and pleasure. We felt it was a shame that our home would be closed-up for months, so vacation rental seemed like the perfect solution!
