Beautiful little getaway

A small, older house, but in a charming nostalgic way. Clean, basic, with a phenomenal view. A big bonus to be able to bring our dog along.

Such beautiful views!

Great place to stay! Clean, well equipped kitchen, hot shower and great location. The place is older but suited us perfectly. Our dogs loved it.

Our stay at Lakescapes Cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay here. The location and views were amazing and the property very comfortable. As per other reviews, the combined living/dining/kitchen is quite small. I couldn’t image it with four guests and suggest the owner turns the twin bedroom into a living room, which would make it a great stay for a couple.

What a view!

We stayed for a week. The house was small but perfect for 2 people and a small dog. The view is amazing we loved sitting out on the deck, when the wind wasn't blowing. The house could do with some love, front deck has nails sticking out and timber rotting on walls. The Kitchen was lacking utensils, only one old rusty baking tray and a tiny frying pan. No tupperware, gladwrap or baking paper provided. Overall we had a great stay, the small things mentioned would have mate it even better.

I wouldn’t say it really caters for 4 tho, 1 adult & 3 kids with a 2 seater couch 😂 we snuggled up & made it work. No internet, was great for me but kids weren’t happy. We took games so they had to interact & the tv wouldn’t work only old dvd’s so we watched them. Funnily enough they didn’t want to come home. Unfortunately for us it was terrible weather & stuck inside the first day. Some cleaning products would have been ideal, the mop disintegrated when I used it & we also had ants invade our food in the cupboard on the first night. There was ant spray so it must be an ongoing problem. Overall we enjoyed ourselves & the view is absolutely beautiful, nicer weather the decking would have been very well used. The Jam was yum & we thought 1 twin pack of biscuits for 4 ppl was very funny! It’s probably in need of a little attention but it was clean which was the main thing. It’s a cosy little place!

metung winter getaway with the dogs

its a simple old house but its cozy and warm with magnificent views, good hot water for shower and some nice local coffee and honey for us to enjoy when we arrived. location atop the hill and a short 3min drive into town or a nice waters edge walk for about 20 minutes. pet friendly was nice too although the yard for the dog was quite small but adequate

Amazing view

Wonderful little cottage with amazing views. The balcony was secured and the large front yard was enjoyed by our little jack Russell. More than enough room to park our large boat. Comfortable master bed, good shower and laundry facilities. The kitchen has good amenities, with everything you need. The neighbour was friendly and helpful. We definitely want to come back. Thank you Carolyn for the easy, no worries check in process. Regards Shauna, Steve and little Tommy🐾

Reviewer Comments: We had a good stay in this small but comfortable cottage situated high above Lake King, bedroom windows and deck facing the lake for excellent water and westerly views.Would suit a couple and or maybe a child. Reason is that the kitchen, dining table and lounge is one space and small in area. Fit out is all you need for a good stay. Probably works best as a stay in warm and mild weather. No rear garden which faces the lake but the deck is large and comfortable and secure for pets. Front yard very large lawn but not secure for pets. Neighbours are friendly and helpful. Essentially one pays for the quiet location with the outstanding views.Great stay for the views and if you like small living space.

Great location, would not recommend accommodating more than 2 people. Living space very small yet can sleep 4 people. Bathroom was clean but needs an update. Half a roll of loo paper is not going to cut it for a 4 night stay. Beds comfy, view beautiful but back deck and furniture old.

From the amazing views from the balcony , the well appointed red kitchen area to the comfortable beds, we truly loved our stay here. It’s a quick walk into town but the expansive views and more importantly the breathtaking sunsets from the balcony were truly amazing. The cottage had everything you need and we loved our stay here.
