Park and walk, only 8 minutes walk from the Metung Village, perfect place for sunset strolls around Bancroft Bay and Lake King.

Rosher's Nest is a special place for couples or small families. The open fireplaces creates a cozy place to curl up with a book and a glass of red wine during winter. Summers will have you walking down to the Metung Jetty for a swim, watch out as there's always a chance you might see a dolphin.

Fantastic stay. This place is in an excellent location within walking distance to the main town. House is very functional and clean. Inside is of a very high standard and a great space to spend with family or friends. Outside has a BBQ to use but not as appealing as inside. We had an overall fantastic stay.

Beautiful home

We enjoyed our visit at the house from the welcoming bread/breakfast left for us to the comfortable bed and great location we highly recommend the property, everything you need has been thought of, we really had a great experience

Beautiful cottage style house, the cleanest place I have ever stayed (and I’m a microbiologist!), everything was perfect, linen lovely and cosy, the owners even supplied fresh bread and local honey for brekkie. The kids were very appreciative of the Easter eggs left for them as well! All in all a lovely and inviting place to stay. We would love to come and stay again!

Rochers Nest

This quirky Hampton style property was beautifully presented by Sally & Craig. Some real nice touches like a local jar of Tambo honey from a farm & a freshly baked loaf of bread left on a kitchen table when we arrived. Across ti Metung village was walking distance. Overall, we were very happy with our 2 nights.

Fabulous!

Thanks for a lovely few days. The house is in a great location, a short stroll into the village and in a very quiet area. The kitchen has everything you need (we love it when places leave spices, oils and things from past guests so you don’t have to constantly buy them!). The photos don’t do this place justice. We hope to be back!

Almost on the tip of Metung…

We were delighted with Roschers Nest. Very well appointed, spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely quiet location but close enough to walk down to the centre. Would highly recommend this property.

Staying in Metung

Metung is a good area that gives you easy access to both Lake's Entrance and Bairnsdale. Rosher's Nest was a very clean and cosy property to stay at. There was everything you would need to have a very pleasant stay and more! I would highly recommend.

Great little cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very helpful and enabled an earlier check in plus the house came with a heap of kitchen provisions. Felt like a very high end experience and we wanted for nothing. Very well thought out. Would highly recommend.

This place is Lux!

This place is wonderful! It has everything in regards to what you need in the kitchen and it even included bird food which we used to feed the local birds. After using local toiletries we sought them out in Bairnsdale and bought some to take home. This home is LUX. Everything is though of and provided. This is a little (but not small) bit of paradise where you can unwind and relax. Sally has thought of everything. I want to move in!

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a lovely property and has great features (and great beds). The hosts were very helpful in providing suggestions about the local area. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Hi, I'm Sally a mum of 3 and avid traveller. After years working in the hospitality industry I've finally taken a leap and purchased a holiday home. COVID in Melbourne definitely taught me that life is too short and it was time to do what I love most in life. I hope you enjoy our slice of paradise as much as we do.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We visited East Gippsland to support the area following the devastating 2020 bushfires. Little did we know at the time, a tiny village called Metung would steal our hearts leading to the purchase of a home the day after we returned from our camping trip.
It needed a little work and we've enjoyed transforming it into a beautiful little Coastal Hamptons styled haven.

I love that I can park my car in the driveway and walk everywhere in town not needing the car until we go home again. With everything in walking distance it really is the perfect location.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

I love sitting on the verandah in the morning with a cup of tea listening to the local naive birds come alive with their morning chorus. Afternoons its the perfect spot for a glass of wine and listening to the kookaburras.

Only a 5 minute walk down the Beach Rd, you can walk along King Lake at sunset down to the Lake King jetty where you'll be able to take in some of the most spectacular sunsets. I prefer the other side along the boardwalks for sunrise, also only a 7 minute walk down Wood St from our home.

OUR PROPERTY

For your comfort, please consider these few things. All creatures great and small live on the planet and they have made our property home because it’s a beautiful place to be.

Just like your home, the house is visited by mosquitoes, spiders, cockroaches, ants and other critters with six or eight legs that fly and while we pest control the house bi-annually, no treatment will ever stop them completely.

We supply insect repellent for personal outdoor use and odourless fly killer for indoor use.

Covid 19 cancellation refunds will be given on a case by case basis. However if your request is reasonable I will definitely make allowances.
