This property was very disappointing for my family. Upon arrival we immediately noticed some alarming things, the most serious of which was freshly dried blood on one of the comforters. Dirt in a few of the beds. A bookshelf looked like a dog chewed off the top corners of it. There was a pile of empty beer cans in the pool area. Cockroaches were seen 3 times IN the house. We also noticed fairly quickly that the dishwasher had an odor which I can only assume is from the food trap not being properly cleaned which made us wonder how clean the dishes we were eating off of actually were. Mold on the ceiling vent and peeling paint were noticed in the dining area. The washing machine also had a very foul musty odor, which made our clothes smell after washing them. We checked in on a Sunday and the pool pump was broken but there was a work order placed for it. After constant contact with the host we were told the technician would be out to fix it - 2 days in a row. One of the last nights at the property, while bathing our kids the faucet in the bathtub broke and we couldn’t turn the water off. The maintenance person came to help, he called the emergency plumber but they didn’t answer the phone so he promptly turned off the hot water and left. The plumbers did come the next day and fixed it but this was very frustrating to have to deal with on top of everything else. This house sits on a very busy street where the speed limit is 30 mph, but cars were flying by - concerning for kids.
