A solo dos horas de los condados de Los Ángeles, Orange y San Diego y a 50 minutos de Palm Springs. "Sky Rock Lodge" se encuentra en el extremo del valle de helechos de Idyllwild. La casa está a una corta distancia a pie de Strawberry Creek y la ciudad principal de Idyllwild con sus tiendas, restaurantes gourmet, cafeterías, iglesias, galerías y salas de cine. Good overall

The location was a little less isolated than we'd hoped, but still nice and quiet. Check-in snafus due to short staff were well handled and everyone we dealt with was kind and professional. The house itself was pretty funky (old blinds, cobwebs on the windowsills etc,) but was cozy and well appointed. And it snowed!

Great place for family and friends

Great place to stay, we found it very comfortable for our group (4 adults, 2 teens, and 2 dogs) and we would consider staying here again if/when we return to idyllwild. Cabin had all the conveniences we needed, and having A/C was a nice bonus. Loved having breakfast and dinners on the patio and hot tub in the evenings. Nice that cabin was set back from the road and had lots of trees, which made the property feel fairly private. Plenty of shady areas out in the yard to enjoy. Short drive to town center and various hiking trails. A few minor maintenance items noticed but nothing that impacted our enjoyment of the cabin and property.

Home was nice, they had everything you needed to cook, plenty of games for the family, and lots of space in each room. The only bad things were the coffee maker took 1.5 hours to get the coffee brewed and we found a couple of things from the previous guests, so not sure how well it was cleaned.

Ample space for the four of us, lovely fireplace, windows to enjoy the outside snow, space for games, great kitchen, private master bedrooms and an unbeatable loft bedroom. Although we had extra beds and could have taken one of the masters, three of us chose to share the cozy loft! Management went above and beyond servicing us... kudos to each of them, thank you!

Would have rated it higher, but the rental polity left a bad taste, and will probably won't return because of it. $25-50/hr for early check-in/out is a little aggressive, especially if the are unreasonably at at 4PM and 10 AM. Also, no cell signals on the property and wifi is spotty at best.

Screens are torn and tattered, chairs and tables outside in disrepair and it's generally an old property that needs a big refresher.

Recommend passing; choose better option

Generally as described in listing but house smells strongly of cigarette smoke inside. Would not recommend to folks sensitive to smoke or smells. Property managers also have a pretty large list of disclaimers they ask you to sign and items they want to upcharge for, so it’s not the friendliest vibe.

Nightmare go to another site !!!

The property was never prepped and the hillside driveway was covered in ice from the street to the door. All of the people in my party fell a minimum of three times. I've been to the ER and follow up appointments for shoulder pain because one fall I put my arm out and strained my shoulder. All they care about is getting the rental and they don't care about any safety concerns. I'm glad I didn't bring my wife's Eighty your old mother. I would have given five stars if some kind of safety prep work was done. Check out the listing thoroughly!!! Because after you sign everything is on you. I'm in pain still two weeks later and my weekend sucked no one was happy because they spent all weekend addressing their bruises and helping each other up and down the frozen driveway. Take my advice if you want to stay out of the ER don't rent a home from here!!!

Decent Little Cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property had all the amenities we wanted. It's a 2 bedroom 2 bath home with a loft that has 3 beds. The loft's bathroom is a bit unfortunately located off the kitchen and has a door leading to the grill & yard. Couches were nice, cabin was in decent shape. A few wall heaters didn't work but the central heat got the job done. The jacuzzi takes a while to warm up (softubs are like that) so best to turn it on 5-6 hours before you want to use it. Plenty of room between the houses and a nice quiet location!

Every single person that I spoke with between the booking, check-in, and check-out process was friendly, helpful, and very welcoming.

Nice & quiet getaway

Rustic and quiet. Quirky is a nice way to describe the property. It has all the amenities, but sadly the drive way is difficult with the trees making the turn difficult especially for anything larger than a sedan. Overall though you’ll enjoy the property once you’re out of the car.

Kitchen was fully stocked, hot tub was working great, plenty of towels and overall a very a nice place. Convenient to Idyllwild hiking trails and easy to check in and out. Yard sitting area looks to be in a need of a maintenance. We didn’t use it so it did not affect our stay. Plus there is a dinning table on the patio.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The little hot tub was perfect on a cool night, and we were within walking distance of two great restaurants. Although, be prepared for the altitude to kick your butt on the walk back to the house, which is decidedly more uphill. Would definitely stay here again, or look at some of the other properties offered by New Spirit.

Great cabin in Fern Valley

This cabin has everything we needed for our stay in Idyllwild. The hot tub was a great amenity. The cabin was a decent walk to town. Everything about the stay was easy and stress free.

Relaxation. Energizing. Peaceful

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Didn’t have to leave the cabin. Everything and anything was available we are all in our 70s and 80s and we had a wonderful time
