First time skiing

All aspects of the stay were wonderful. Our girls learned to ski nearby at Tahoe Donner and it was wonderful.

Wonderful Home for 2 Families

This house is perfect for 2 families with kids. Fully equipped with everything you need. Really nice spacious home. And INCREDIBLY comfortable mattresses! I would definitely stayed here again.

Beautiful home, excellent location

We recently stayed in this rental for a long weekend and couldn't have been happier. The house was lovely and very clean. Very comfortable bedrooms and a nice, well-appointed kitchen. The property was spacious and we had so much fun sledding in the backyard. It's super close to Tahoe Donner which was a nice bonus. We would love to stay here again!

Beautiful house and great location

This house was perfect for 2 families with little kids. The house was clean and had many amenities for the kids. The backyard was great for our snow play. The owner was quick to respond to any question we had. We are already talking about rebooking this house for our next trip!

A Great Family Getaway Spot

We had a fantastic time! The house was spacious and clean and provided a relaxing place to build wonderful memories with our family. We had so much fun playing in the snow around the cabin that we didn’t even bother going to a ski resort. Sarah was easy to get in touch and provided answers in a timely fashion. I highly recommend this property and hope to return again in the future!

Beautiful property, great location

We stayed at this property for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The house is lovely, spacious, and comfortable - and the backyard is perfect for snow play. You can even make your own little sledding hills. The location is ideal, right down the street from Tahoe Donner and just a short drive to downtown Truckee. The kitchen is well-stocked in terms of cookware, utensils, etc. and we were able to make dinner at home every night. Overall a great experience - highly recommend!

Fantastic stay

First impression was fantastic. We walked into a clean home and every space was bigger in person than the pictures showed. It was such a a pleasant surprise! Having garage access was a win. It gave us space to park and dry out our gear from the beach. The kids loved the bunk beds and their space downstairs. We appreciated the number of bathrooms and the large dining table. It was an easy drive to Truckee and look forward to coming back.

So close to Tahoe Donner!

This is a lovely and comfortable house! The open layout of the kitchen, dining and living spaces were great for our family -- and it was great also to have a separate space downstairs for the kids. Sarah was an AMAZINGLY communicative host. We went up right after the enormous snow in late December 2021, and we were in regular touch about whether the roads were plowed, power was on, etc. I really appreciated her clear communication. We love how close this house is to the Tahoe Donner ski resort. It was great for more relaxed mornings and evenings that we didn't have to drive far to ski. Do pay attention to the recommendation in the property description to have a 4WD car in the winter. The private drive is steep in both directions -- the end closer to Snowpeak has a longer steep portion, and the other end is narrow and steep with a bit of a turn at the crest. With the recent snow and slick conditions, we needed chains on our Subaru.

Gorgeous cabin!

We loved our stay over here! The cabin is just gorgeous, and the pictures just don't reflect the beauty of it. Sarah was also great communicating with us and making sure we enjoy our stay. Highly recommend this one!

Luxury Family Fun!

We absolutely loved this home! We stayed with 2 families (4 adults and 4 young kids). The downstairs area designed for the kids was perfect for our little ones while the large upstairs living area by the fireplace was perfect for the adults. Everything described was accurate and Sarah was very responsive to my questions/requests. If you are looking for a luxury family friendly place this is it. Loved it!

Great for families

We spent the last week at this wonderful cabin. We have a 3 and 1 year old. The cabin was great for them. It was nice as there was a baby gate, high chair, and pack n play available along with lots of toys, this really cut back on things we had to bring. The backyard/deck was great area to relax, we saw several deer pass through. Everything was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable. We have no complaints and hope to be back in the future.

Spacious and beautiful home!

This is a well maintained, spacious and beautiful home! We loved how open and airy the house was and how everyone had their own space after fun, full days at the near by swim club and beaches. Our children especially loved the downstairs playroom and my son loved the video games (perfect for a pre-teen!!). We made lots of memories laughing and talking together on the big leather couches and eating great BBQ meals at their stunning dining room table. Sarah thank you for allowing us the joy of using your home, we can't wait for our next visit!!!

Beautiful and well appointed home

We stayed over Christmas with two families in this gorgeous home. The furnishings, including furniture, bedding and all linens were high quality which was much appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked with the appropriate cookware for us to enjoy staying in on Christmas. The location was perfect with the short walk to the Tahoe Donner ski area and short ride into Truckee. We also appreciated the flexibility with check in time! We would all love to stay here again!

Just like home

We really enjoy our stay in your home. The open design of the living space was great. We also made good use of the BBQ. I really appreciate that everything was there from spices, plenty of towels, beach towels for the lake, and a book full of helpful hints to use around town. We were up there in the fall and it was wonderful to see the trees start to change. Thanks and we hope to be back soon.

Beautiful Tahoe Donner Rental

We had a wonderful stay in this home in Tahoe Donner. There were 5 adults and 3 children in total, and plenty of room for everyone. I loved how well kept and clean the home was. It was obvious that the owners take great pride in their home as they furnished it with top of the line furniture, bedding, towels, etc. The kitchen was very well stocked and even the bathrooms were stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc. To me that is a huge bonus and we so appreciated those little touches as well. We had a fantasticly relaxing week. Thank you!

Great Family Vacation

We traveled with 5 adults and our 16 month old son to share the snow with him for the first time. The house is perfect with separate living spaces and bathrooms providing enough space for everyone. The kitchen is clean, and well stocked with anything you could need. The location of the house is great. Easy to get to local ski resorts, the freeway, and downtown Truckee. Also, super close to Tahoe Donner ski resort. The owners were very helpful making sure we had everything we needed for the stay. We accidentally left one of our essential baby items, and they easily return mailed it back to us. Thanks! Highly recommend renting this space for your family trip.

Excellent for two families with kids, close to Tahoe Donner

We stayed at the Shangri-Lodge for MLK weekend. The unit was very clean, spacious and perfect for two families. The layout was great, and well decorated. The place had great toys and books for the kids. Our kids loved the bunk beds and no one actually slept in the other room next door because the kids all wanted to be together. They had sleds which we used in the backyard and from there was a great view. Tahoe Donner is very closeby, walking distance if you had no gear or kids, but you'd need to drive if you have kids or gear. I'd return here again. The only thing I would say is that part of the driveway is quite steep if you go a certain way (two ways to get to the home), so we chose the other way when we traveled. (Tons of snow coming down when we drove over). I would recommend the unit.

Comfortable and beautiful stay in Truckee area

We are a family of 9 with a young grandchild and this property was amazing for our winter stay in the Tahoe area! The house is beautiful, comfortable and well equipped and the owners are responsive and helpful. We were pretty much snowed in but we walked to the ski/snowboard lift and went sledding right out the back door! I plan to book this place again next year. It was perfect!
