Quiet and Relaxing

Had a great stay. The condo is a short walk/drive to the beach and is stocked with games and movies for rainy days. My family and I were quite comfortable here.

Great Vacation Spot

The place was exactly as advertised. Very clean, private and quiet. It was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The back sitting area over looking the lake was our favourite place to sit and have a coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location!

Out bridal party had a great time staying at this rental, the amenities were lovely, the patio was perfect for late night talks and early morning coffee, a beautiful view as well. Overall a lovely little rental for your weekend away! The rental is very easily accessible and would be great for whee chair users.

Excellent property in beautiful, peaceful location!

We recently stayed at Kingston Plantation in Brian and Elizabeth Lawton's awesome property right on the lake. Communications were fantastic and the check-in/check-out process with the property manager, Arnette Vereen, was excellent. Property was clean and well-appointed, with plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Loved the proximity to the lake - had a couple of wonderful breakfasts on the back porch table taking in the view and wildlife. Short walk to the beach past the turtles and black swans. Thanks Brian and Elizabeth for allowing us to stay at your place for a much needed vacation!

Will stay again

Had all the amenities that we needed, description was accurate. The dryer might need a little maintenance took a few cycles to dry. The tv’s were not smart tv’s, which was why there was probably 60 + dvd’s. The handles on the master bathroom were about to fall off, but worked. The back patio was nice and had a great view. Nice selection of books as well. We had an overall great time and would go back.

We immediately reached out to you to understand the problem in detail. Without delay, we contacted Four Star Plumbing to address the situation as quickly as possible. The plumbing team arrived the next day and successfully resolved the issue by 5:00 pm on June 12.-We understand that being without hot water for 24 hours during your 3-night stay was less than ideal, and we genuinely appreciate your patience and understanding. Our top priority is always the comfort and satisfaction of our guests, and we strive to ensure that any issues are addressed promptly and effectively. We are committed to maintaining the high standards that have earned us such positive feedback and continuously strive to enhance the experience of all our guests. Lake, Trees and Ocean Breeze

The property description was accurate. Just an easy 8-10 minute walk to pool and beach access. It was a nice park-like walk through trees (squirrels) and bridge over the lake (ducks/turtles). Villa was very clean, somewhat dated and some minor repairs needed. I informed the Guest Contact and he said they were aware of cracked window and is scheduled to be replaced. Could hear neighbors on their deck from master bedroom and foot noise from above. (We pack earplugs for that exact possibility). Overall a nice stay on lake and walk to ocean!

This was a very nice property within easy walking distance to the beach. I read some reviews that said it took 15 minutes, but I would say it was more like 7 to 8 minutes if you went the shortest route. The condo was very well stocked with towels, dishes, movies, board games and toiletries. We enjoyed watching the wildlife outside in the shaded lake area. There were lots of large trees that provided shade on the walk to the beach also. The pool we visited, number 52, was right on the beach and had an easily accessible bathroom. It was right on the way from the condo to the closest beach entrance. I used the blender, oven, stove top, and washer and dryer and everything worked well! I thought the bed was very comfortable. The condo was within a mile or two of many restaurants. It was very spacious and clean. We would definitely stay there again!

Property wasn’t what we expected

Disappointed, closet doors in master bedroom were off the hinges, carpet old and run down in bedroom, bugs in unit, construction going on at the beachfront so the entire property had one or two small pools to use. I would not recommend. We left early and emailed the property manager at the email address listed and never heard back. Disappointed

Rental was great. Location was quiet and relaxing by the lake. Took us 7-8min easy walk to reach the beach. Villa was equipped with beach chairs, pool noodles, bocci ball, wagon, etc. Beds were soft and comfortable. Parking was easy, even with 3 vehicles there was plenty of spaces. Only reason i didn't give 5 stars was because none of the beds were made, nor sheets available upon arrival. I did find a golf cart with linens parked 2 units down and tried unsuccessfully to find someone from housekeeping that it belonged to. So I ended up grabbing sheets for each bed and a few extra towels and we made our own beds up. The WiFi connected but there was no internet. I reset the router a couple times with no change. Spectrum was on site at the adjacent unit Saturday morning but there was no change after he left. Having said all that, we enjoyed sitting out in the patio by the lake and the big selection of DVD's when it rained. Kitchen had everything we needed. Enjoyed Kingston Plantation and the stay in Myrtle Beach for the CCMF. Will be back!

Upgrades needed

The place is outdated and the service not up to the standard of most properties at Kingston Palntation (we come to this resort often). The furniture and some of the kitchen stuff need to be replaced as they are very old and uncomfortable, including the mattresses. There is a roach problem as we would wake every morning to find a few dead or dying roaches on the floor. We waited in vain all week for the shower in the master bathroom to be fixed and hand towels to be delivered after being promised that it would take one day. Overall disappointed.

Thank you for your feedback on our villa. We are disappointed that you did not find the furnishings and decor to your liking. The entire villa was redecorated and refurbished in 2017, including new wood flooring, new furniture in the master bedroom and living room, all new GE appliances in the kitchen, and more recently, a new washer and dryer, new HVAC cooling and heating system, and new hot water heater. The listing photos clearly show the furnishings and decor as advertised, but we are constantly upgrading and replacing items as needed. We can confirm there is not a roach problem at the property. Because of the lush greenery of Kingston Plantation, the property is prone to palmetto bugs, which are very common in South Carolina. The villa is routinely sprayed to mitigate this condition within the units during the hot summer months, but occupants must be diligent to keep all doors closed during this time. We recently secured a new property manager for the villa and have been extremely happy with the feedback from our guests. Past guest reviews have complimented his timely and attentive response to their needs, and we're sorry that you did not have the same experience. We're sorry you did not enjoy your stay and we appreciate the opportunity to respond to your comments. We are always looking for ways to improve the villa so we can provide our guests with the best possible experience while at the Kingston Plantation.

WOW.....AWFUL EXPERIENCE

Checking in was a disaster as the Management Company doesn't have a clue. The property was not ready for check-in. There was tree limbs in the way to entry, Mold in Master Bath, running water from the tub, no fitted sheets on the Beds, WIFI was zero. They plugged the phone cord into the modem instead of a DSL cord. Zero internet therefore I would not work. I walked out back and had to clean tree limbs and trash from the back patio. I contacted the Owners but they seem as if they do not care.

Great beach vacation

This property is great, within walking distance to the beach. Coffee on the patio overlooking the pond was very relaxing.
