Love this house so much!

I had an incredible stay at this beachfront casita! The location was unbeatable—just steps from the sand with stunning ocean views right from the patio. The home was clean, cozy, and exactly as described, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches like beach chairs and towels.The host was friendly and responsive, offering great local recommendations and making check-in seamless. Waking up to the sound of the waves each morning was absolute bliss. I can’t wait to come back!Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the water

Perfect Little Casita!

This was the easiest trip we have ever booked with wonderful communication with the owner. She was very accommodating and responsive. Check-in was a breeze with clear instructions and driving directions. First thing I noticed when we walked in was how clean the property was inside & out, and how good it smelled. It is very important to me for a place to be clean. It had every comfort of home. You will need to go grocery shopping of course or bring food with you at least for the first night. WiFi worked perfectly. It’s right on the beach with beautiful views of the ocean and the perfect sunsets! They also had a tankless water heater which was nice. Town is about 30 minutes away, but it’s was perfect for us because it wasn’t crowded and peaceful. The neighbors, mostly from the states, were so eager to share where to go and what to do. I didn’t meet anyone that wasn’t helpful. I would definitely stay here again with the wonderful experience we had. My only suggestion is the main bedroom needs a bigger bed. It’s personal preference because it’s a queen and I prefer a king. That’s it. You can’t go wrong renting this Casita, especially with the wonderful experience with the owners.

Perfect Getaway

Cute home equipped with everything you need. Unbeatable view!!! Wake up to a private beach right in your front yard. If you want to get away from it all, this is it. We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Casita Calypsito very much. Since we are not into night life or big crowds, we found this property to be perfect for us. Approximately 25 minutes away from major stores. Oxxo, Bodega Aurrera, Sam's club etc. We strongly recommend this place if you want to feel at home away from home.

Amazing Beach Location

We took our dog with us to the beach this time and have a wonderful experience. The property is exactly as described. The beach was wonderful to walk on, lots of shells and fun things to find. Not many people. Two families live here, permanently, and most other houses were empty for our visit. It was delightful to hear ocean waves. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go again.

Great little house on the beach

Our party consisted of three older women and this was a perfect place for us. We have been on this beach before where the swimming and shelling are excellent and you can walk for miles. We spent most of our time on the deep porch watching the sea, shore birds, pelicans and dolphins. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped and we very much appreciated the hot showers and the outdoor shower. The air conditioning worked perfectly in every room. It was also good that the car could be parked off the road behind a secure gate. We had a slight glitch with the internet connection but the owner sorted it out immediately. We'll be back if we can!

Beach stay with Teddy, our dog.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Highlights were being right on the beach and a very large patio to enjoy it. The beach was not touristy at all. The fact that we could enjoy it with our dog, Teddy made it extra special. And getting information about a dog sitter who did a wonderful job. Also appreciate the inner courtyard to lock up our car in. Less worries. A few suggestions, in write up it should be made very clear how far the casita is from Peurto Penasco, so occupants bring plenty of water and provisions. It is not a short ride to nearest store. Minor suggestions: towels racks in bath rooms, and lounge chair for patio. Thank you. We really joyed our stay. Elise, Jack, and Teddy

Beautiful beach

We had a fabulous stay in this lovely casita. It was well equipped with everything we needed to cook and enjoy the pristine beach. We had a very minor glitch and it was immediately taken care of. The communication with the owners was excellent. We will definitely book again!

Amazing Views!

Pros: Ocean Views! Sunsets! Dolphins! Stars! Property is right on the beach, great for walks, large covered patio, beach shade, fire pit, kitchen well stocked, (bring spices, coffee, extra drinking water to make ice-they have ice trays), quiet, beach to yourself, shells, bathroom stocked with extra towels/shampoo/soap, secured courtyard area for vehicle, had plenty of water for showers although we did conserve just in case, there is a gage to check and a handy man taking care. Cons: internet issues, master bed on hard side, there are no stores nearby so plan ahead, especially for ice and water (this is well communicated in the listing), property is on a cistern. Drinking water availale at Mayan Palace, but not ice. The more remote location of this property is actually a PRO for me, no Sandy Beach crowds, there are a few vendors. Would definately return, one of the most relaxing vacations ever!

Peace on the beach!

We've stayed at this property before. We loved it then and we loved it even more this time 'round! Kelly was quick and easy to communicate with. I emailed her multiple times with questions before our visit and she always provided prompt and informative replies. The Casita provided the perfect quiet and peaceful get away. There was no one else around. We had miles of open clean sandy beaches in every direction the entire week of our stay. The house itself had everything we needed; full kitchen (we brought all our food and prepared all our meals there), great bedrooms (comfortable beds) and bathrooms, ample covered patio (where we spent most of our time and ate all our meals at the picnic table), TV for movies (a wide variety of CD's available), comfortable living room/dining space, BBQ, AC in each room, etc. We brought our own drinking water (2 gallons/day was good for the two of us). We were conservative in our water use at the house and never came close to emptying the cistern. The internet was inconsistent throughout our stay. Great opportunity to put down our devices and focus instead on each other and the natural beauty that is the Gulf of California at Rocky Point. We look forward to staying at the Casita again! WonderFULL experience!

Peaceful getaway place.

My friend and I had such a peaceful relaxing stay here! The casita was perfect for us. We loved how it was located in a quiet area RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Loved the covered back patio over looking the ocean, the windowed wall from the living and kitchen area overlooking the ocean, the friendly neighbors, and the simplicity of our stay. Will definitely rent again!

Tranquil beach

Owners are semi-retired living in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mark enjoys golf, volunteering at church (CCV) and traveling. Kelly enjoys managing the vacation rentals (and will be your main contact during your stay), volunteering at various animal rescues and traveling.

Playa Dorada beach is great for families and couples wanting to get away and enjoy a quiet week/weekend.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Being away from the Malecon allows guests to enjoy nature up close: we've seen seahorses (so cool!), octupus, turtles (from time to time), and dolphins. This is a kid and pet friendly property and allows parents to enjoy a cocktail on the patio while watching their kiddos from the covered patio. Life can't get any better!

We come down to Rocky Point regularly and have built our dream home right next door, Casa Calypso.
