Heel gezellige schone accomodatie. Klein onderhoud nodig (deuren gaan moeilijk en lampen stuk). Fantastische locatie, zeer prettige ontvangst, veel goede tips gekregen. We komen zeker terug.

Long weekend in Venice

We were all very impressed with the apartment. An excellent property just as photographed. The location and neighbourhood was great, the apartment was clean and well equipped and Alessandro was communicative and at check in he went above and beyond with great tips and local knowledge of how to make the most of our stay and to avoid crowds. All in all, just wonderful and I'd highly recommend booking here for your stay in beautiful Venice!

Excellent Property and Best Ever Host! The property itself is spacious, clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you will need for your stay in Venice. The apartment is spread over 2 floors. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge (or living room), and full bath with shower on the first floor. There are two ensuite bedrooms on the second floor with attached baths. The showers in the upstairs bathrooms are a bit small but worked well for travel buddy and me. The one on the lower level is very roomy for those who prefer. The apartment is located in the Dorsoduro district of Venice - my personal favorite! It's quieter, less full of tourists and still close to everything via the Academia Bridge. There's a market nearby for groceries and necessities. There are two squares with numerous restaurants, cafes, bars and a coffee shop, but you can still sit and watch the local families gather as their small children play. Perfect! But the absolute best was the host, Alessandro! Communication prior to arrival was superb with detailed instructions on alternative options to get to the apartment. He met us in the nearby square Campo San Barnaba on arrival and walked with us to the apt. He covered everything in the apt and nearby area. In addition, he reviewed a map of Venice, highlighted the usual sights, when to best visit, and several hidden gems, and how to get to them. In summary, absolutely the best Expedia/VRBO stay ever!!!

We had a wonderful time staying in this apartment, which was very comfortable, clean and well equiped. Alessandro was a great host and gave us a lot of helpful advice. Good location and I would be very happy staying here again.

Phenomenal property in a quiet neighborhood, easily accessible to the vaporetto and all attractions.

This property was renovated beautifully! The owners put a lot of thought into providing a wonderful oasis for renters. We were two couples traveling together and the property was perfectly suited to relaxing together after a long day of touring. We loved the area of Dorsoduro and would stay here again in an instant. Fantastic, timely and friendly communication with the owner and his representative. The property was immaculate with all the amenities of a first class hotel. Can't wait to stay here when we return to Venice!

Nice area and perfect flat

Alessandro was perfect and gave us all the information we needed for a perfect stay. The flat is very well located and spacious. Separate day and night on the first floor. Modern, fully equipped kitchen. Efficient heating. In short, a very pleasant stay just a stone's throw from the Gran Canale.

Wonderful apartment and host

We were two couples and we found the apartment perfect for our three day stay. It’s spotlessly clean, well equipped and has restaurants, shopping and grocery stores all nearby. You will not find a host as dedicated as Alessandro. He met us at the vaporetto stop, got us settled and spent quite some time giving us advice and tips on how to have an amazing Venice experience. You will not be disappointed - we found it to be a true gem.

Perfect location, clean apartment, excellent host.

We had an excellent time staying in Venice, in no small part thanks to this wonderful apartment! It was immaculately clean when we walked in with the host, Alessandro. We got acquainted with the space and then he spent a very generous hour talking with us about his experience and opinions of Venice and the surrounding islands. He genuinely invested the time to talk with us about how to avoid the major crowds and have the best overall experience. We were not for wanting in any way during our stay, and communicating with the host after his check-in was easy and always prompt. Would very gladly stay here again! Some details for booking: the apartment is a three story, with the main living/sleeping spaces on floor 2 and 3. There is not a microwave or washer/dryer, but there are so many restaurants of high caliber nearby you won’t be needing a microwave. Laundromats are easily found in walking distance as well.

Bei dieser Unterkunft hat alles wie am Schnürchen geklappt. Die Schwester des Gastgebers hat uns am Treffpunkt abgeholt. Sie gab uns jede Menge Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt. Das Quartier war blitzblank, sehr gut ausgestattet und so fühlten wir uns sehr wohl. Wir können das Cá Barba 24 für einen Aufenthalt in Venedig abseits der Touristenströme wärmstens empfehlen.

Wonderfully comfortable and quiet apartment in a great location.

This apartment is great. I think the interior has been recently redone, so it has the old Venetian charm, but with modern conveniences. I've stayed in Dorsoduro several times before; it's my preferred neighborhood in Venice, but this location, very near Campo San Barnaba, was the best yet. And the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Un appartamento contemporaneo e funzionale.

Siamo soddisfatti del nostro soggiorno. La disposizione del locale è originale in quanto è distribuito su 3 piani, compreso il piano terra. Il proprietario, Alessandro, ha fatto di tutto per darci accesso ai canali televisivi stranieri. Al ricevimento, la sorella aveva annotato su una cartina di Venezia i ristoranti e i luoghi da lei consigliati. Il consiglio era buono. Una richiesta: avere un guardaroba e dei ganci per appendere i vestiti. Nei bagni manca anche lo spazio per mettere gli accessori.

Venice long weekend

We so enjoyed our stay here. Alessandro was responsive and Katerina provided a very helpful overview to the area with suggestions for dining and sightseeing along with vaporetto hints. The apartment is clean and bright and we were very grateful for the well functioning air conditioning. The vaporetto stop was close so made arrival and departure easy as it is right on the main #1 vaporetto line and the Agualilina line to the airport. We so appreciated all the kindness of the hosts and had a lovely stay in Venice.

Second visit--same quality experience

This is such a terrific place to launch your Venice experience! Cozy, perfect for two couples or a small family, tucked in a quiet neighborhood with fantastic dining options and local shops, but easily accessible to the grand canal, the Guggenheim and other major museums, and the seaside walk overlooking Giudecca (truly a must). Go to the local green grocer (a small boat on the canal along Piazza San Barnaba) and prepare a lovely meal in the small kitchen or walk less than 500 feet to 3 or 4 wonderful local dining favorites (some are highlighted in the off the beaten guide books to Venice). Alessandro provides a great orientation and insider tips for getting out and really discovering the joy of Venice.

Great accommodation in perfect neighbourhood

Excellent experience. Alessandro was a perfect host with some very handy tips on where to visit. Apartment was clean and spacious. It is in a great location with excellent restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend.
