The host was very prompt in replying to questions and the person who met us was very welcoming and gave us detailed information on how everything worked. The location was fantastic: a 10- minute walk from the train station, in the charming older centre of Florence, close to Basilica San Lorenzo, the Mercato Centrale, the Medici Chapel, and with undemanding walks to the Duomo and Uffizi. There was a convenience store nearby with basic groceries and other necessities. There were many nice little places to eat in the immediate vicinity.The apartment was comfortable, well-equipped and spacious. There were two of us, but 3 or 4 people would have been comfortable here. The lift for luggage ( or two slim people) was a life-saver, as there were many stairs to climb otherwise. Things that would improve the experience even more: provide fabric tea towels for drying the dishes and provide a reading light next to the single bed in the bedroom. The unique bathroom arrangement means that one must walk over the shower floor in order to reach the toilet, so using the provided wooden cover for the wet shower floor would be helpful. We didn’t figure this out until the last day!We were very happy with our accommodations and would stay here again!
