My wife and I found Kent's property amazingly perfect for the two of us. While the property is on top of a garage, you'd never know it because you won't hear a thing and once inside it's beautiful. The entire layout of it was very homely and well thought out with design/decoration. While the incline down to the dock is steep initially, my wife and I made it without issue. However, we are in are early 30s and the incline would be much more difficult for older couples. Most importantly was Kent's hospitality and willingness to be of any help if necessary. He took us down to the dock on his gator and told us to call when we wanted to be picked up. Having an owner that lives on site is much more of a plus than it is a negative. We had a great view of the lake and while Kent's house is right next door, it had zero negative impact on our view, comfort, and overall stay. We will likely contact Kent somewhere down the line to rebook with him because, frankly, I can't imagine staying at a better kept and maintained place while having access to a large dock for boating/kayaking/swimming. As a last point, the location is unbeatable. You're on the far west side of the lake which puts your right by Pigeon Forge (10 minutes) and in turn Gatlinberg (25 minutes). We didn't plan on going to either of these but once we realized exactly how close we were, it was a no brainer. The only mistake we made was not renting a boat.
