It is for sure one of the top places in Tenerife. Paradise for hikers, families, nature lovers and couples The house is located inside Anaga Natural Park and yet close to all major Tenerife attractions. Nature is at your door and the sea is 10 minutes away. The property is vast (30 acres/12 hectares). Paradise for hikers, nature lovers, families.

Within the private country estate there are two buildings, one used as the guesthouse and the other used to be a storage facility which became a new dwelling on November 2017 under the name of "The Barn". Given the considerable size of the property, our guests will be able to hike through the ancestral Laurisilva Forest and the farming areas of the property while experiencing the luxury of a private space. You can also sit on the terrace and enjoy the sunset and the magnificent view of the Anaga Mountains and the great Teide volcano in the distance. Tegueste and Pedro Alvarez are few kilometers down the road. The beaches and natural pools of Bajamar are only 9km away and the World Heritage city of La Laguna is just 5km from the house. Full confort in pure nature. Reliable high speed fiberoptic wifi. Satellite Tv, toys in case you travel with kids, etc.

The area is great. It is a National Park and it is close to La Laguna (UNESCO World Heritage City) and the door to the magnificent beaches of Taganana (0 tourist there and the hidden secret of Tenerife). Anaga forest is just magnificent. Near cities are La Laguna (5 minutes by car) and Tegueste (very rooted on Tenerife traditions). Cilmate is good and combines the sunny days with fresh nights. The area is very green and lush and that is what it make it so different being in Tenerife. Tegueste is a quite village with all basic amenities. Very traditional and very good food in the area. It is 5 minutes away by car or public transportation. You will find everything there (pharmacy, grocery shops, etc.).

Amazing stay at finca El Roque

We spent a week at casa Laurisilva. The property is huge and very well maintainded. The setting is gorgeous, perfect to rest. Nebertheless, you can quickly reach many destinations, intersting cities, beaches and hiking routes

Mooi plekje weg van het massatoerisme

Ruime woning voor 4 personen met toegang via een heel smalle lange half verharde oprit. Prachtig uitzicht en dicht bij allerlei wandelroutes. Het dorp is ongeveer 1 km van het huis langs een steile bergweg. Daar is ook een klein winkeltje voor brood en wat andere spullen, maar geen groenten en fruit. Supermarkt is 3 km verderop.De huiseigenaar reageert snel op vragen. De elektra viel uit tijdens ons verblijf, maar werd snel gerepareerd. Wij verbleven hier in januari. Dan heb je beslist warme kleding nodig, want in de bergen is het met name 's avonds en 's nachts koud. Het huis heeft verwarming en is goed warm te krijgen. Jammer dat er geen theedoeken en keukenhanddoeken waren. De rest was prima verzorgd, al moet er her en der wat opgeknapt worden. De eigenaar gaf aan dat in mei te gaan doen als er minder toeristen zijn. Al met al een aanrader, zeker voor wie van natuur en rust houdt. Maar een dagje uit naar de stad kan ook zonder probleem. Zowel Santa Cruz met een leuke markt en Puerto de la Cruz met veel attracties zijn in ongeveer een half uurtje te bereiken.

comfottable cottage in a beautiful location near nature reserve

We loved our stay in the finca el Roque. It is a very comfortable cottge, well equiped. It has a great garden with flowers and woodland, and a beautiful vieuw from the terrace. It is within easy reach of an area of great natural beauty, the Anaga peninsula. Also it is easy to shop nearby.

Tolle Zeit

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt in der Finca. Sehr netter Vermieter, der auch gute Tipps für mögliche Unternehmungen gab und allgemein alles schön hergerichtet hatte, z.B. frische Blumen. Alles war wie beschrieben und auf den Fotos dargestellt, sauber, alles funktionierte. Wandergebiete sind mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen. Nett waren auch die tierischen Nachbarn in Form von Hahn und Henne sowie einer kleinen Katzenfamilie, die uns sehr viel Freude bereitet haben. Fazit: Sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man abseits der Touristenburgen einen ruhigen, individuellen Urlaub verbringen möchte.

Wunderbares Haus für Naturliebhaber

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche auf der Finca El Roque. Sehr nette und sorgsame Vermieter. Die Bilder und die Beschreibung entsprechen dem Objekt. Die schöne Stadt La Laguna ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Außerdem liegt die Finca in der Nähe eines der schönsten Gebiete Teneriffas (Anaga). Unser kleiner Sohn war verrückt nach den Katzen, den Hähnen und dem Baumhaus. Ideal! Einziger Wehrmutstropfen: die angekündigten Wanderwege rund um die Finca sind nicht passierbar, weil verwachsen. Also zum Wandern muss man das Auto nehmen um an einen Ausgangspunkt zu kommen.

Finca El Roque Tenerife

The cottage location within in its own large estate land and enjoying fantastic views of sunsets over Mount Teide is quite idyllic. However, the location is also very convenient for everyday needs of shopping and eating out. La Laguna and Santa Cruz are accessible within 10 mins or less and hence the location provides a great match between historic towns, museums, and great countryside e.g. Anaga Natural Reserve, Parque National del Teide. It provides a great base to see the local/real Tenerife rather than the commercialised tourist spots. The property description and photographs provide a very accurate representation of a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Carlos was very efficient and pro-active in helping us assess the suitability of the property and location to our holiday needs before booking and then provided great customer service on arrival. He provided great advice of things to do that met our interests and there is lots of useful information provided in the house. We will definitely recommend the property to friends and family.

An excellent house - highly recommended!

My partner and I stayed here for 10 glorious days in the run up to Christmas December 2012. It must be said that the house is beautifully situated on the hillside in a very quiet and peaceful location but is in no way isolated as there is easy access by car to the local village of Pedro Alvarez, the lovely town of La Laguna and the amazing Anaga mountain park. Plus the owners are very friendly and helpful. The house itself is ideal, it is fully equipped with all the necessary conveniences plus an excellent wifi connection but for me the best part was the view - there was nothing better than sitting on the patio at the end of the day with a glass of wine, watching the sun going down on Mount Teide - bliss! I would certainly recommend the Finca El Roque and hope to stay here again

12 fabulous nights in Finca El Roque

We (a family of three with 4 years old child) have spent 12 nights in Finca El Roque in September-October 2012. We found the house exactly in line with its description and very well kept and nicely furnished. The owners thought of many details round the house making you feel rather at home than away. Not to mention swings and kid's tree house. The house is situated on a large land plot on a quiet hill slope with nearest neighbors far-far away from you. Yet it is only 2 minutes' drive from the supermarket and some local amenities and 5 minutes' drive from La Laguna with its nice walking historical centre, market, shops and cafes (and most of other services one might need). On weekends there is a local farmers market in Tegueste which is 2 minutes' drive from the house. The house is perfectly located next to Anaga rural park with wonderful forests and natural landscapes and lots of diverse walking routes. Basically the nearest route we found was just a 5-7 minutes' drive from the house into the mountains. At the same time if you want to spend a day at the sea, the beach in San Andres (playa Las Teresitas) with its golden sand and breakwater is only 20 minutes away. Ask the owner for directions to playa de Benijo to visit one of the most beautiful beaches you might have seen. And yes, it is also not far away from the house. In general we found the location of the house very comfortable to explore many natural beauties of the island and a perfect place to return to in the evenings to relax and recharge for the next day. So if you look for a quiet place in the natural surroundings it is a very good choice. Definitely would come here again and recommend to friends.

Great quiet and clean house in Tenerife

We had a great holiday in Finca El Roque in Tenerife. The house is big, clean and with a lot of comfort like wifi, washing machine, Satelite TV and a well equipped kitchen. We had 2 cats and a few peacocks / chickens walking around the house which was very nice. The owners were very friendly and helpful!

Wunderschöner, erholsamer Urlaub

Wir (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) haben einen wirklich schönen Urlaub in dieser gemütlichen Finca verbracht. Alle Bilder im Internet entsprechen der Realität, die Buchnung verlief reibungslos und die netten Besitzer haben uns bestens empfangen, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Ein Auto ist notwendig aber trotz der abgelegenen Lage des Anwesen ist man schnell am Strand oder in den naheliegenden Orten. Zum Wandern ist es ein Paradies, ideal gelegen. Wir empfehlen dieses Haus auf jeden Fall weiter!

Bewertung Finca El Roque in Pedro Alvarez/TF

Wir , ein Ehepaar aus dem Norden, haben in der ersten Septemberhälfte (2011) zwei sehr schöne Wochen auf der Finca verbracht. Die Beschreibung entspricht praktisch in allen Punkten den tatsächlichen Verhältnissen. Die Finca ist ein Quartier der besonderen Art, das Ruhe und Erholung pur und einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf das angrenzende Anagagebirge sowie das ländlich geprägte Tal von Pedro Alvarez bietet. Man ist hier im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes „auf der Höhe“, so dass die Zufahrt –zunächst über einen steil ansteigenden (geteerten) öffentlichen Weg und dann über eine ausreichend ausgebaute, teils wassergebundene, teils betonierte private Strecke innerhalb der Finca - mit etwas Geschick und auch ein bisschen Geduld bewältigt werden sollte. Die Finca, bei der das ältere, traditionell gebaute ländliche Nebengebäude weder bewohnt noch bewirtschaftet wird, beeindruckt durch ihre Größe und Weitläufigkeit, eignet sich aber nur bedingt zum “Spazierengehen“. Uns hat gefallen, wie sich die auswärts wohnenden beiden Eigentümer, die Brüder Jaime und Carlos, aber auch die Ansprechpartnerin Isabel im Bedarfsfall um unsere Belange gekümmert haben. So wurde beispielsweise der praktischerweise vorhandene Laptop nach Eintreten eines kleinen technischen Defekts kurzfristig ausgetauscht. An Tagen , an denen sich die Temperaturen z.B. in Santa Cruz auf die 30-Gradmarke zu bewegten, war es auf der Finca immer noch ein bisschen frisch und luftig. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt , werden dort gerne wieder Quartier beziehen und können es interessierten Teneriffa-Urlaubern uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
