The pictures do not do justice to the beautiful home! This place was also way bigger than expected and perfect for multiple families. We utilized every space and spent a majority of our time outside fishing. The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed for our Thanksgiving stay! We plan on returning again next year.

Nice little getaway

Super cute house on the lake! Everything was clean and we were able to cook/grill easily with the supplies they had in the kitchen. There was ample space and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the pool table. Communication was great as well. When we went the lake was at 60% capacity so the kids were able to fish and skip rocks. Overall, we’d visit again!

No Lake Front

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was clean, and the accommodations were nice. As stated in the listing, there are starter items, but no food items. This is fine. However, The listing says 185' of lake front for swimming and water fun. The lake has dropped over the last couple of years (I learned after arriving) therefore, the house has NO lake frontage. The picture and statement is false. If you are looking for lake access, this is not the place. If you want to swim, there is no water. If you just want a view from the house, then you can see the lake off in the distance.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was a bit dated but very clean and well taken care of. Lake was at 50% capacity so it wasn't great for swimming. The capacity restriction was a killer for me. My son and wife live in San Antonio and wanted to visit for a bit but, after asking the management company I was told that we could get kick off the property if I violated the rule. It was not a big deal, but I will definitely not consider this ho.e as an option in the future.I can see how some may take advantage if a rule is not in place ,but they should also take into account that I asked about day visitors and the number which was 2..well it is the owners rules and they have no choice bit, follow them.

There’s still plenty of water to kayak in Canyon lake!

The path down to the water is about as gentle of a slope as you can get at canyon lake. Bring water shoes for the rocks, though! Very clean house! Kitchen table is the best spot to look at the lake and hang out. Location is great, lake front, great views, awesome deck with trees and fans and new, comfortable outdoor furniture. Beautiful trees! Steep driveway if you don’t have 4WD, so use the black top one on the left to exit! Cons: Honestly a bit under stocked compared to other VRBOs I’ve stayed in as far as basic kitchen condiments, cleaning products, toilet paper and trash bags but they warn you about it ahead of time plenty. Living room couches older, not very comfortable. I did not love the check in process (I’ve never had to provide so much proof that I am the renter since VRBO does all that verified communication, seems very unnecessary.)

We had a lovely time enjoying the views and deer! The kitchen has plenty of amenities if you choose to stay in and cook. The bed linens in the upstairs bedrooms seem a little worn. Overall we all had a fabulous stay!

Excellent lovation

Great location and the house was very roomy. Saw deer every morning and afternoon. Loved the large back porch. Walkway to lake is sorta steep but paved and makes it easy to walk down and back. Gazebo is a plus

Family Vacation

Very quiet place, even with the low lake levels had a great time in the water on the property. The back patio was great with plenty of shade and lake views. We will be back.

Great weekend

Very clean with plenty of room! My husband and I brought our two daughters and their friends for Memorial Day weekend. The house had plenty of space and was very clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the bathrooms had plenty of bath towels. Our favorite part was watching all of the deer in the yard.

Spacious Home and excellent waterfront location

House is spacious, nicely furnished, and well maintained. Paved walkway to the lake that you can walk right into. No climbing down any rocks at this location!

Plenty of towels (for showering)for our guest. Washer & Dryer. Large covered deck. Easy walk down to the water. A little steep coming up but not too bad. You can anchor your boat and jet skis in front of house. Hang out in the water. Plenty of room to park your boat and jet skis in driveway. Pool table in house for entertainment. Not far from boat ramp. Book this house for your next vacation at Canyon Lake you won’t be disappointed!

Great Spacious Lake location!

The place is exactly as listed. The property is large but there is a house just to the left of the patio but we were kinda loud and raucous and they didn't mind. It easily sleeps 10, lots of beds everywhere and a well equipped kitchen. Had a sit down dinner for 11 easily. Walk down to the gazebo and water was a paved sloped path. Not too steep, but we took our time with my 80 yo mom coming back up. The lake entry was gentle sloping and sandy with some rocks, a dock and ladder would be helpful to those with tender feet. The water was clear and swimmable even in October. Patio was a great place to hang out with lots of seating options. Digital lock check in was pain free. WiFi worked great once we found the correct password on the binder in the entrance table. The patio has the right combo of view and shade. Only caveat is that the house seems to have one AC and a whole house fan so I am not sure how well it can keep the three upper bedrooms cool in August. We had no issues during our stay. Would rent again.

Girls’ Weekend

My group started doing virtual get togethers when the pandemic first started in 2020 and pretty much started planning our in person Girls’ Weekend at the same time. When we were all fully vaccinated we started looking for places that we could relax and have fun together and we found this property. The house was large enough to fit all of us comfortably with a huge back porch looking into the lake. There were other houses nearby but the little cove we were on was quiet and private. We started planning our next Girls Weekend the moment we got there.

Great location

We had a great time. Location was perfect. We really enjoyed the evenings on the covered deck. Could use some new pillows though we slept great anyway.
