Esta es una casa de tres dormitorios y dos baños con capacidad para 8 personas con loft y futón en la tranquila Serene Lakes. Casa frente al bosque con gran terraza soleada. El hogar es perfecto para esquiar o escaparse en verano. Se admiten mascotas siempre que su mascota se porte bien. Tres millas a Sugar Bowl, una milla a Royal Gorge para el esquí de fondo, media milla a la playa para nadar, 20 pies a la pista de esquí de x-country, senderismo y ciclismo. House está al final de un callejón sin salida tan bueno para los niños. En invierno, la casa se calienta principalmente con una estufa de leña de hierro fundido Vermont fácil de usar. Getaway to the trees

As returning guests, we enjoy the location and the cozy, well-equipped cabin very much. It’s fabulous to be able to start a hike right out the door with our dog and also to take a short walk to the beautiful lakes.

Wonderful Stay!

This is our second visit to this cabin and we are already planning our next. Cabin is a bit rustic but meets all of our needs. Very close to sugar bowl, great neighborhood and a comfortable bed to sleep in. What more could you ask for? Owner is always great to work with and very responsive. Can’t wait for our next stay!

Wonderful Location

We just came back from 5 nights at this cabin. It’s not fancy, but the location is perfect and the accommodations are comfortable. The woods are in your backyard, we had a blast sledding steps from the cabin. Plus an easy drive to ski resorts. It’s on a court so we felt very safe letting the kids play outside. Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again!

Beautiful, Serene Spot

The house backs up to Royal Gorge on a cul de sac so it's very quiet. We made lasagna in the oven and fires in the wood stove. Everything worked nicely.

Wonderful cabin

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. We love it! Great communication from Julie. The house is charming and perfect for our family. Looks out into the woods and open space. We'll come back again. Highly recommend.

Cozy, Comfortable and Quiet Serene Lakes Cabin

We stayed for an extended time at Julie's lovely cabin and really, really enjoyed ourselves. It was a perfect set up for a mix of adults and tweens. The wood fireplace kept us warm and cozy, and the beds were extremely comfortable. I think our favorite part of the cabin was the built in benches and big table - perfect for games, puzzles, family meals, and hanging out. And the access to Royal Gorge trails (you need a trail pass) literally right behind the cabin was fantastic too. Highly recommend - we hope to return!

Great family getaway in the forest

We (family of 4, 2 children) stayed in this beautiful house for a last minute ski vacation. The house had everything our family of 4 needed. Plenty of space in the house, kitchen was well appointed, bedrooms were as described. We had no issues with the fireplace, the house warmed up in no time. Very close to Sugarbowl and the nordic ski resort (we did both). Would come again in the summer to go hiking.

A lovely spot

We have rented this house three times and always enjoy it. If you are a gourmet cook and rely on certain kitchen implements, bring what you require. But other than that, kitchen is well-provisioned and house was very comfortable for family of 5.

Amazing location

Stayed here for a weekend with friends. The location was perfect for XC skiing and snowshoeing, which was our reason to be there. Couldn’t ask for better. The space is larger than expected and the kitchen was fully stocked. Located on a quiet cul de sac. Super bonus that it’s a dog friendly house and that we were able to bring. Would definitely stay here again! Ps. if you plan to ski with your dog at royal gorge check their dog policy. They changed it for 2022-2023 which was super disappointing.

Beautiful remote getaway

Aside from difficulties with check in instructions we had a great time. Location is further from groceries and the actual lakes than one might think, but excellent for dog walks and hiking. Cabin is lovely, simple and comfortable.

Cozy cabin great hiking.

We had a great time at this very quiet cabin. If you like hiking you are in for a treat. Trails out the back door. Great for a dog too!

Great location, clean and great owner

This is our second stay at Julie’s home and we will be back. Serene Lakes is a gorgeous area close to hiking trails in summer and snow resorts in winter. Julie is responsive and clearly has pride in her home. We love staying here and can’t wait to come back. Thanks, Julie!

Do not meet our expectations.

Not good . Beds did not have sheets, no thermostat heat, couch smelled like wet dog, no local tv. Not a good value at all !!

Wonderful Cabin

We had a wonderful 4th of July vacation and absolutely loved this cabin and the surrounding Serene Lakes community. Our daughter enjoyed the activities happening in the neighborhood and our dogs loved playing in the open space and going on hikes. We would definitely stay again!

Nice cabin in a great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin had everything we needed for a great spring ski trip. Super easy access to Sugar Bowl. Everything was organized, clean and comfortable. I would love to go back in the summer or fall and take advantage of the activities that are right out the back door.

Excellent snow trip

We had fabulous, snowy weather that we enjoyed by those giant windows and the wood stove. Kids played in the snow for hours, and if we had another day, we would have been on the cross country ski trail behind the house. Great spot, kitchen had everything we needed.

Wonderful Christmas

This cabin was exactly what I hoped for. Cozy, warm, beautiful view of the snow-covered pines off of the deck. There was internet, Netflix and Hulu. The furniture was comfortable (couch does need some repair) and the kitchen had everything we needed. We were able to bring our dogs (who loved the snow). Location was perfect. My only criticism is that the listing said it slept 8, but we were unable to use one bedroom because the bunk beds were too small for adults. The owner responded quickly to my emails and was very gracious. I have booked it for next year. Can’t wait. I highly recommend this cabin for small groups.

I'm a single mom, and I take care of this myself, with help from a great cleaning service. I love dogs and believe that they, too, make awesome guests. That's why I welcome them because I. know they have good people.
