Al estar situado en la laguna de Placencia añade mucho a esta propiedad. Las puestas de sol sobre la laguna y las montañas mayas son espectaculares. Desde su patio trasero, tome los kayaks de la Villa para pescar Snook, Snapper y más en un lugar de primera clase. Si usted no está en la pesca de un viaje de turismo en los kayaks a través de la laguna de manglares lleno es una gran manera de pasar el día. La seguridad las 24 horas y la puerta de guardia oferta de seguridad y privacidad. La planta superior es una enorme suite principal privado y baño, con bañera de hidromasaje de gran tamaño, ducha y gran patio abierto con vistas a la laguna y las montañas. 4 º dormitorio con dos ruedecillas gemelas pero sin baño privado. Las camas se pueden convertir y tienen capacidad para 4 huéspedes.

Excellent Place for our Family Vacation!

We loved this place for not only its location but for all the amenities that came along with it. The house, pool, golf cart, kayaks and access to the resort kept everyone entertained. The views were amazing and having an age range from under a year to 75 we had enough room to keep everyone separated when needed. The staff were wonderful and we enjoyed them very much.

Fantastic Vacation

Vacation

The staff was great. Appreciate the housekeeper and the chef. Both did an excellent job. The kitchen cabinets were dirty looking and some of the cabinet doors were falling off the hinges. Took the top of the toilet tank off one of the bathroom because the toilet was continuously running and there was black mold. Overall the experience was great and my family had a great time.

Beautiful home, the amenities were great!

Beautiful home, the amenities were great! My husband and I loved the outdoor shower on the third floor! The pool was clean and and temperature was perfect! The housekeeping service was a nice touch to really feeling like you are on vacation! We had three days of chef service, we love the breakfast but twice had to ask her to prepare lunch and leave it because we were out sightseeing and felt rush to get back. The first day at lunch she told us not to be late for dinner (6pm) as she had to ride an hour to get home. This was understandable but again we had to rush or ask her twice at dinner to leave which meant we had to clean up. The dishwasher was leaking, we had to put a towel down to catch the water as housekeeping and chef allowed it to settle on the floor. Otherwise, our family enjoyed the home and would visit again!

Loved, loved, loved !!

We had an amazing stay at Laguna Gecko, it's even better than the pictures show! I wasn't very comfortable with the idea of having a chef and maid underfoot , I thought it would be uncomfortable and intrusive, but it was absolutely amazing!!! Manuel and Martha were such a joy, great food and leaving a vacation with no dirty clothes, unheard of !!!! I'd love to bring them both to the US, hehe. This was by far the most relaxing vacation I've ever had!!

Villa Laguna Gecko Placencia

Our stay at Villa Laguna Gecko in Placencia was outstanding. The area was fantastic, safe, and convenient to beaches and restaurants. Our group regularly used the pool at the house as well as kayaked. The staff was attentive, the cleaning was well maintained, and the chef cooked great meals that was almost better quality than eating out. The only complaint was that our golf cart that was provided with our stay broke down twice - after the original issue we were told was fixed, we had another issue and had to hitch hike back to the house. Other than this I would highly recommend anyone staying at Villa Laguna Gecko if they are visiting Placencia.

Perfect for our needs

This is an absolutely beautiful home at a beautiful location! It fit the needs of our family perfectly as far as bedrooms and eating area. The fact that the house has its own pool was a tremendous hit especially with our five grandchildren. The kayaks were also very popular. The chef who came prepared absolutely fabulous meals that everyone raved about. In fact they were so good that we hired him for an extra dinner! We enjoyed eating our breakfast and lunch on the patio which had a large enough table to accommodate all of us and provided a beautiful view. The housekeeper was also very helpful and kept everything neat and tidy as well as taking care of our dishes and doing our laundry. We all enjoyed our short jaunts in the golf cart as well. Renting this house also enabled us to use the huge pool at the casino and that was popular with the kids because it had a shallower children’s area. The people we were in contact with about the house were exceptionally helpful and always answered in a very timely manner anytime we had a question. We have vacationed in many many places but all of us agreed that this was the nicest vacation place of all. Should you rent this house I think you will agree.

Relaxing Getaway

My family and I enjoyed the property and all of it’s amenities including the chef, housekeeper, pool, lagoon, and beautiful sunsets. Our kids enjoyed their own spaces but also time with family. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful!

THANK YOU for your help & patience to Talia & Mabel but especially to Namir. Our holiday was a getaway for 6 lifelong friends celebrating our 50th bdays which would not have been the same without your guidance & attention to detail. Namir even worked with a friend back home to coordinate surprise bday cupcakes! A trip of a lifetime & every time I asked questions for the group you were all extremely responsible & always had the answers. The assistance with every single recommendation & booking was perfect & extremely helpful also comforting because booking excursions were all done on-line or on WhatsApp. Several of us are already talking about a return trip to Placencia & staying at either Laguna Gecko or another fabulous Gecko Vacations homes. Every single person we met during the trip was lovely, friendly, helpful, looked you in the eye & always had a warm smile for you. Laguna Gecko A lovely Belizean rum punch greeted us upon arrival! This spacious, beautifully appointed comfortable home with everything you'll need. There were 6 of us for four days & 4 of us for the remaining time. More than enough room & certainly can accommodate more people comfortably. The beds & linens were lovely, bathrooms were gorgeous & tons of towels. The outdoor shower was my favorite! The kitchen has everything you'll need for cooking. It’s set up for entertaining & since the chefs are often there cooking it has most everything like spices, coffee filters, oils, tinfoil, some condiments, etc. The home was 25mis to village; 10 mins Maya Beach Bistro area; 10min walk/5min cart ride to the Placencia Resort. Laguna was best of both worlds staying on the lagoon with the Maya mtn view & walkable to the ocean. Transfers ran like clock-work, extremely comfortable. Provisions via the sample list was provided was perfect. We picked up liquor/wine in BZE duty-free. Chefs One word is amazing! Fresh, delicious, thoughtfully planned & locally sourced. Daily services in the home were always spotlessly cleaned & laundered. Martha washed anything we needed which was an amazing surprise. Location & safety we never felt uncomfortable or vulnerable. Additional: Cash is king; fly from BZE don’t drive; Naia Spa, Nautical Adventure, Captain Jak’s all wonderful! Maya Beach Bistro was favorite also hit Mare, Afrotide, Barefoot, Tipsy Tuna, Pickled Parrot, Cozy Corner, Bonefish, Above Grounds, resort Sunday BBQ. We LOVED Placencia, Laguna Gecko & everyone we met. Can't wait to return!!!

Exceeded expectations

The residential area felt very secure and safe - great for a family trip. The house was in excellent condition and didn't lack any of the amenities we are used to at home. The absolute best part of the vacation was Manuel! Wow, what a treat to have 3 meals cooked a day. He is talented, kind, and incredibly generous. Martha and Christine kept the house looking as though it did the day we walked in throughout the entire week. When considering a vacation, you literally can't get any more relaxed and pampered in a private home. Five-star service from beginning to end and we highly recommend working with this company.

Great house - As Advertised.

The house was everything as described. The cook, staff, and Mgmt team were all wonderful and very attentive to any needs that arose. We did not experience any sand flee issues, but it was a little windy so that may have helped. If you are going to venture to the village, I would recommend a Cab or the rental of a Car while you are there. Its a 20-30 minute drive from the house. Stock up on as many alcoholic beverages that you can from the Belize Airport, as it is a least half the cost. It was a great stay and vacation. If you are looking for a relaxing time, great weather, and relaxation the Placencia Belize is the place to be. thanks for a great trip and memories.

Laguna Gecko Amazing!!

Laguna Gecko in Placencia Belize is an amazing property. Well maintained and beautiful. The views are breathtaking. The staff including the chef, grounds keeper and house keeper are all extremely welcoming and friendly. This home comes with everything you can possible need including a golf cart and car. With four bedrooms and four baths you have plenty of room to spread out. The master bedroom and bathroom located on the third floor offers comfort and privacy. With it's outdoor shower, luxury bath and large balony this master has everything you need to relax and enjoy the spectacular views. Located near Placencia Village, The Placencia Casino and Placencia Resort. Also located near a beautiful waterfall, ziplining and river tubing. There are plenty of activities to take in. I highly recommend this property and definitely plan to return many times in the future.

Fun with friends

This house is in a very nice area of Belize. For us, Placencia Village was too far to travel by golf cart. We only used the golf cart to go over to the Placencia resort and to a local market. The house is nice, lots of stairs. We wished the queen beds were kings in all the rooms. Most of the furniture was very uncomfortable, especially for 8 people. The no seeums were HORRIBLE! I believe the chairs under the tiki hut were infested with them as well as there were rodent droppings every morning. The chefs were fabulous!! Couldn't have asked for anything better. Having our laundry done and house spruced up everyday was a real treat. The Captain Jaks excursions were really fun and very professional. Several went kayaking, a little hard to get in and out of , but much easier from the resort. Having the resort privileges was a very nice perk. Everyone was friendly everywhere and we felt very safe in the house. The country is still pretty primative, but that adds to the beauty.

This has got to be one of the best locations in Belize.

There were six of us, a toddler and infant. It was perfect. We loved the pool at the hotel and the pool at the house! We felt like royalty for the week. Pool guy, grounds keepers, concierge, chef, housekeeper, personal transport to and from airport! Wow. The neighborhood is fantastic and gated, the house is well appointed and everything worked very well, sunny with good central air and ceiling fans, fantastic views. The golf cart (we rented one additional) will travel the length of the island in 40 min. with ease. It had everything we needed. The grocery stores are limited; not all that expensive and carry enough for meals and a few US foods. We bought our booze at the airport duty free coming into Placencia but if you have to have Oreos from the grocery store, expect to pay about $8.00 for a package. There are a variety of other options in the store. Airport Customs let us bring foods from home into Placencia, but they are stricter than what is written on the customs website. But with the chef for 3 meals a day, need little from home except favorite snacks. Restaurants compare to US prices and lobster was a seasonal treat! The concierge answered our questions and booked excursions for us and they were great! I will have to say, everything was SEAMLESS on this trip. We stayed Saturday to Sunday and travel from Placencia Sunday was ALOT easier than coming in Saturday! Every tourist is in the Placencia airport on Saturday. If it wasn't such a lot of travel for us to get there, we would consider coming every year! Just writing about it makes me want to consider doing this trip again! I do have two suggestions. First let me say the house felt and looked very clean. The house keeper was wonderful, but the house could use a deep clean. There are some corners under cabinets, kitchen drawers, surfaces, refrig etc. that could stand a good cleaning. The house keeper spent a lot of time in the laundry room on her phone. She had everything taken care of otherwise and she is pregnant and I know she wanted to stay out of our way, so I don't fault her at all. On the surface she did a great job: the beds were made, laundry done and floors and surfaces cleaned for us every day without fail. But a deep clean is in order and the kitchen rug needs to be replaced. The other suggestion is that some blinds to cover the windows by the TV would be great. The sun is brutal there in the afternoons. But we loved every minute of this COMPLETELY CARE FREE Vacation.

Paradise!! Best vacation ever!!!!!!!!!!!

Laguna Gecko Villa was the perfect vacation setting for our family of 8. The bedrooms and bathrooms were stunning. The kitchen and living area were spacious and nicely appointed too. The pool was our favorite place to hang out and have a cocktail and listen to music. Brenda, kept the house clean and what a treat to have our laundry cleaned daily. Chef Manuel and Chef Dominingo, well, what can I say! AMAZING! My daughter is a professional chef and I love to cook, but this was the ultimate luxury! They made delicious meals and desserts with fresh ingredients and stunning presentations. I highly recommend using the chef option. It was so nice to have breakfast prepared before an outing. We did not use the concierge services since it was our third trip to Belize and we know the area well. Laguna Gecko was the best location for our family vacation and we hope to return!

Top of the Line!

Our family decided to celebrate the Christmas holidays together at Laguna Gecko. The service and the villa surpassed our greatest expectations. The decor and the convenience made for an enjoyable and memorable holiday. We received perks we didn't know we would get. Chefs Domingo and Manuel were amazing, and the meals were 5 star. Ms. Brenda and the other sweet cleaning staff person were professional, accommodating, and welcoming. Talia, Mabel, and Javier responded to our ever inquiry and request - EVEN during the holiday season. Laguna Gecko has set the bar for our stays in Placencia. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

We had an unBelizable stay!!!

The house is amazingly comfortable and lovely at the same time. The master suite is amazing and has a huge veranda with great furniture for enjoying the water/mountain views and amazing sunsets. The best part of our stay were the chefs that came in 3 days for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They were true chefs, not cooks. The food was fantastic! The house was great! Everyone had their own bath and the bedding is very nice. The beds are super comfortable! The house came with bike, a golf cart, books and card games and great wifi. We played Uno most nights after spending days zip lining, river tubing, jumping off of waterfalls and swimming with sharks and turtles. And woke up to lobster omelets on the veranda! It was our first time to Belize and we had a blast! Oh and for our last evening there we went to Jaguar Lanes for bowling, Belikin beer and great pizza. The only bowling ally in Belize is just up the road.
