This condo has everything you need to just make a short drive from Houston for a quick vacation. This condo is perfect for a mens fishing getaway or a women's weekend retreat to get away from all of the day-to-day stresses of life. It has so many great amenities like the yacht club access pool, gym, and golf. Not to mention fishing right off the dock so I can be in the kitchen prepping dinner while watching the rest of the family having fun!

It's a condo, on the 2nd floor, which means you have shared spaces....which means you may run into other VRBO'ers who don't realize how obnoxious they are being. But the good news is- if you just talk to them, most are friendly & will work it out with you.
It was built in the '70s so even though we have updated the kitchen, parts of the bathrooms, & bedrooms of the condo still have some old charm. Our bathroom cabinets and baseboards throughout the condo are original.
It's a condo on the second floor, that was built in the '70s with 2 glass walls overlooking the lake.... which means, especially in Texas Summers, it can get hot. The front door is located in the exact opposite position of the living sliding glass doors. The AC's were replaced in 2019 so they are relatively new, but if you open the front door WHILE the patio door is opened, it's like a vacuum that SUCKS all of the cool air out immediately. The second bedroom window faces the west sun so if you leave the blinds open all day, plus going in AND out of the front and patio door, plus baking some brownies after a full day on the lake...you'll surely have a hard time cooling the place down. We typically set it at 68 for bedtime and it is always at 68 when we wake up.
The patio's overlook the lake facing an east position, so if you like being a vampire, it won't work out as it gets bright in the living and master as the sun rises....but it's perfect for those fishermen who like to try to hook that monster cat or bass before anyone else starts to stir.

𝐆𝐎𝐋𝐅 - La Torretta is 3 miles away and is open to the public along with 2 other public golf courses, West Fork and Wedgewood, approximately 10 miles away, near Conroe, TX. Walden on Lake Conroe Golf Club is within walking distance and has been named "best course in the Houston Area and 5th in the State" by Golf Magazine.
𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐒 - Walden has 12 outside courts and 4 indoor lighted courts for you to use during your stay! No partner? Just show up on Saturday or Sunday morning anytime from 7:30 am to 11:30 am and join in our open-play!
𝐅𝐈𝐓𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑 - We have a full service gym for your exercise pleasure offering weight machines and assorted classes along with an outdoor heated lap pool.
𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 & 𝐁𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆– There is a sidewalk that runs the length of Walden Road for your hiking or biking pleasure & a walking trail near the entrance to the Condo complex!
𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃- Both within walking distance, there is one area with a set of swing sets and then another fenced in area with a green space and full size covered playground.
𝐅𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 – Enjoy many of the fishing tournaments throughout the year! With many species that make the lake their home!
𝐏𝐎𝐎𝐋𝐒– There is 1 pool for the condo community and there are also 3 pools at the Yacht Club, one is Olympic Size and 2 is a kiddie pool, which offer poolside grill service and life guards from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒 – Boat/Kayak/Canoe/Jet Ski's Rentals are all available! Try out Sailing or Wind Surfing too! There are boat rentals at Walden Marina and other boat and Jet Ski rentals nearby and you have a temporary boat tie up right out your back door! Walden boat ramps are nearby and available for your use and temporary (72 hr) trailer storage. There is also a public ramp nearby as well.
