Mold mold mold! This apartment honestly should be condemned. There is so much mold in this apartment. It is a major health hazard. And the windows don’t even open. This place felt kind of like a dungeon. Extremely old appliances, stove barely works. The smell is disgusting. Stay away unless you wanna end up in the hospital from inhaling mold spores!

Great location, close proximity to many local restaurants and grocery stores etc. All the basic essentials you need in a beach small beach getaway. Had no issues while we were staying there but it was easy to contact the property owner if needed.

Perfect location near the beach. Quiet neighborhood and very clean. The house was very clean the only thing I would say is the kitchen and bathroom need a little update but otherwise it was perfect. Property manager was very informative and quick to respond. I would definitely go back!

It wasn’t horrible

Overall it was an ok stay. The bed was not comfortable at all. There were only 3 towels and rags for two people on a 5 night stay. I know there is a washer and dryer in unit but I don’t want to wash every day just to have towels and rags. Also the dryer has to be ran several times to get anything dry. It was a great location to the beach and the back yard was nice.

The location is great. That’s it - the location in proximity to the beach and attractions are the only things going for this place. Rust is everywhere, but most notably the outdoor faucet is rusted and broken, the advertised beach amenities, wagon rusted and broken, beach chairs rusted with torn fabric, the outdoor amenities, one of the gas grills have a broken ignition, the plastic picnic table is rusted through, we didn’t know we sat on it, it broke and cut up my leg. I spent about 200 at the urgent care, got a tetanus shot and nobody wants to get back to us about the additional cost. This place isn’t fit for living and this company that manages it all seems to be a joke. There’s supposed to be a first aid kit on the property, none, so we’re rushing to the local food lion to get some bandages and disinfectant. The walls are paper thin, the place smells weird, the AC situation is laughable. And they send you an email with check in instructions, and ask you to not use too much water and let them know if the toilet (which wobbles horribly) keeps running. You got over 1000 just out of me and you can’t make sure your toilet is secure and get the back end fixed up? Ridiculous.

Worst Vacation Rental

Hannah's Place is the worst vacation rental that we have stayed. The house stinks, kitchen appliances are rusted and worst of all the bathrooms are filthy. The toilet seat is not even bolted it shake when you sit down..The bathroom is tiny you don't have a place to put your shampoo and soap.

The house was conveniently located for beach access..also close to stores, restaurants, and groceries.worked very well for a short stay. The kitchen was a bit scant ,so glad we didn't plan on cooking.otherwise we enjoyed our time together and the beach getaway.

Emerald Isle stay

Location was amazing along with the little bits of ocean view. Neighborhood nice. The apartment itself was clean but in need of some fixing up. I am giving 4 stars because when we arrived it was just a bit confusing as to which entry in the apartment was ours so we couldn’t get in right away because we were trying the wrong door. We were fortunate that our neighbor in the apartment arrived back as we were trying their door. They also said they were confused when they first arrived. We also ran out of toilet paper and I feel that should be something that you have ample supply of when paying the price we paid. Our host did get in touch with us in a timely manner when we couldn’t get into the C apartment.

Surprising

The price and draw is the location and they allow dogs. It is directly across the street from the beach entrance. However, there are no other redeeming qualities. It’s extremely outdated which gives a dingy feel. Everything has rust. There are two “in wall” AC units but it was so hot no matter how much we turned it down or closed the bedroom door. The furniture is clearly from a random estate sale. I would have been scared to cook. The shower was extremely small and was either hot or cold. The towels were worse than what we use for our dogs. We couldn’t check in or even park early due to “cleaning” however when we arrived there was dead spiders on the floor. I hate to leave a poor review but quite frankly, I’m a little irritated we paid so much. This property is an excellent example of why people are leaving A*rb*b/Vrbo.

Safe and convenient!

"Hannah's Place" is safe, convenient, and close to the beach! The terrific communication leading up to the stay and during checkout was greatly appreciated.

Old outdated furnishings. Kitchen dreadful stove not functional. Would have been dark dismal except for front windows but construction vehicles and people and noise were right outside those windows our whole stay.

Quick Getaway

If you want a small place, close to the beach, and with few frills, this is the place. It provides a convenient place to stay that is affordable. Do not expect to be able to cook full meals as the kitchen is not equipped. You also may want to bring your own bath towels.

Convenience to the beach

Overall Hanna’s place suited our needs for a few days but would highly suggest replacing the electrical outlets thru out the place but for being just minutes from the ocean it was well worth it

Hannah's Place - very disappointing, not up to VRBO standards

July 30-Aug.2, 2023 The only thing positive about Hannah’s Place was its proximity to the beach and its wifi. The apartment was a great disappointment. The kitchen was dirty with rust covered cabinets. A 1950’s style metal refrigerator served as a cabinet with dirty pots, pans, dishes & flatware thrown in (I had to hand wash all dishes & flatware before using). The refrigerator itself had a coat of grease on the top and an old dirty filter. There were only 2 adult forks & 2 water glasses available, and no wine cork screw. The stove is so old & rusted out you couldn’t see how to regulate heat. Only 3 burners worked. The kitchen faucet leaked at the base when fully turned on. Outside was a dirty grill with an empty propane tank. The bathroom water pressure was weak and the toilet drained slowly. We had to plunge it on several occasions. Also the bathroom had only a ½ roll of toilet paper. Additionally, there were no cleaning supplies; not a broom nor a vacuum. The outside light was not working and evidently has been the case since 2020. The walls & flooring (no rugs or carpeting) are so thin we got very little sleep due to the late night/early morning partying with the people upstairs.

Would NOT recommend!!!

I typically don’t leave reviews EVER because I’m not hard to please and don’t require anything fancy and no place is perfect! The location and the fact I could bring my pet were the only two things I can say were good about the accommodations. The shower has no place to put your items, barley accommodates 1 person. I was skeptical to cook in the kitchen as the appliances were not appealing to cook on or in. The electrical was a bit sketchy as the lights in and out dimmed on and off often. A water hose is not a outside “shower”! If I have to pay a large cleaning fee it should be turn key. I do not want to use someone else’s left over shower and hygiene items which have been left from past renters!! We had to get our own batteries for remotes and air fresheners to drown the musty smell. A mattress upgrade would be very fitting for the queen bed, a mattress topper is not an update. It COULD be a nice place IF there were upgrades AND some maintenance done. The property manager was very efficient in helping with a curtain falling situation upon arrival, the location was great and the towns people are very friendly however I would not stay at this location again and I will not recommend it to anyone else.

Nice Vacation

Rental was clean. Kitchen was small but adequate. Seemed to be a good neighborhood. Would definitely consider staying again in the future.
