We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and are deeply concerned to hear about the scorpion your sister encountered. In the 25 years of living at the property, we have had very few sightings of scorpions in either the guesthouse or main house. They are nocturnal creatures and I’m wondering if you happened to leave the front door or sliding glass doors open especially when you arrived in the evening? I’m also concerned that you didn't let me know about it when I reached out to you a couple of days after your arrival. Regarding the swimming pool there has been an unfortunate misunderstanding about it being shared. Let me assure you that it is a private pool, exclusively for the use of guests occupying the guesthouse and not shared with other homes nearby. Additionally, we kindly request that guests refrain from swimming at night, as the pool area is not well-lit and local wildlife may be present. Thank you again for your honest review.
