Hot Tub + Sauna on Acreage in the center of Prince Edward County

Our 2 level walkout (circa 1970) is just what you need - space. Over 1800 square feet on 1.5 acres of property overlooking rolling hills and farmland.

The Yellow door is unique in that it has two full kitchens and two - three bedroom levels (one upstairs bed doubles as laundry the rest are fully bedrooms), separated by stairs and a door which can be closed if privacy is needed by either family. The ideal group size is 6-10 with lots of room to spread out in the common areas (each level also has a living room with T.V. to create some space)

What we also love about our house is the location - if you stay here you will be in within a (at MAX 15 minute drive of everything great about Prince Edward County):

Sandbanks - 10 minutes
Bloomfield (Flame & Smith Restaurant) - 1 minute
Picton - 6 Minutes
Wellington - 10 minutes
Wine country - 12 minutes

All this while having loads of space and quiet on your back deck.

The Yellow Door house also sits just off the Millennium Trail, 46 KM of old rail line repurposed into Biking/Walking/ATV trails. Our Neighbours include Hagerman Farms which include a restaurant, real farmers market and ponies, Harry’s Charbroiled (amazing burgers and shakes) and Crimson Cidery - these are all a one minute bike or drive away.

Bloomfield is 6 minutes by bike (1 minute drive) and includes two nation renowned restaurants - Flame and Smith as well as Bloomfield Public House (which has recently turned into a culinary market and Barbecue restaurant). Matron Brewing is also hidden behind Bloomfield down an old dirt road and they make some of the freshest craft beer for hundreds of miles.

We LOVE Prince Edward County, are proud members of this community and would love you to see what so many have come to enjoy over the years.

Relaxing visit to the county

Great Stay at the Yellow Door Home

Hosts were very easy to communicate with whenever I had any questions. They were very accommodating, allowing us to check in early and check out late making it a memorable experience.The property was well maintained and having access to a washer and dryer really helped when we were a group of 10 adults and two kids.The space was grand and the weather was cooperative making the hot tub experience a cozy one for all.Thank you Joshua for a memorable stay and I highly recommend their space to others looking to stay in Picton, Ontario.

Great Girls Weekend Away!

Wonderful little property, with everything we needed, lots of attention to detail. Josh was a great host, very helpful. We went for a wine tour to celebrate an upcoming wedding. The house was in the ideal location in order to do so. House was immaculate, lots of rooms with really comfy beds! Bonfire pit, hot tub, lots of fun games provided. Cool little spot can’t wait to return! Thanks for having us Joshua!

Fun Girls weekend at Josh’s!

Great place for our group of 7 ladies. Very well equipped, stocked with all the necessities & clean. Beds were comfy. Josh, our owner was quick to respond and was very pleasant to deal with b4 & during our stay when we had a few questions. This is a great place for friends or family to stay at. Beautiful and serene getaway

The home has a warm and inviting feel with the layout which has a lovely and peaceful view of the super large backyard to enjoy a run in the snow or sit in the hot tub with a warm fire in the background. Of course the sauna was a bonus! The two floors were a nice touch for the teenagers to have their private space! We thoroughly enjoyed this home; lots of breweries and wineries in the area, although we only got to the brewery.. lots of parking! The host Joshua was amazing in his timely response to any queries we had… highly recommend! Thanks again for sharing your home!!

Girls trip

Great time in Prince Edward County. The Yellow Door property is ideally located. Easily slept all 6 of us. Lots of towels and linens, everything you need for cooking. Nice big dining room table. Hot tub for relaxing and fire pit for cool evenings. Plenty of board games available if you need to stay inside. But the best part of this property, is the owner, Joshua. He was prompt with replies, accomodated a couple of last minute changes and was super nice through it all. He gave us tons of info on the area, including places to eat, wineries and Sandbanks Provincial Park. He has 2 vehicle permit passes for the park! Would recommend.

Great location, lots of room!

We came up for my wife’s birthday and a friendsgiving combo weekend. Amazing location in PEC, short walk to a cidery and brewery, so that was nice. Communication with Joshua was easy and very prompt. No drama involved. House is well stocked with appliances and utensils. Upstairs and downstairs kitchen came really in handy. Firewood for purchase next door was very helpful. A bunch of games there as well, which is great for making use of the large backyard. Everyone had their own room and was very comfortable. Would highly recommend and visit again!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

There is a reason Prince Edward County is so famous - the rolling farmland, beautiful wineries (and now amazing breweries), true food culture and beautiful beaches and lakes for swimming. The Yellow Door is ideal because it allows all of these wonderful things within a short bike or drive - its great to be in the middle!

Having the space and overlooking the hundreds of acres of farmland is a breath of fresh air from city living and I feel it every time I step onto our back deck.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

In the summer, Hot Tub overlooking the acreages, space for serious hide and seek, large viewing windows of the back deck and yard - green and blue as far as the eye can see thanks to the elevated position of the house.

In the Winter (and shoulder seasons), the Hot Tub, Sauna and soaker tub (for ice plungers) make for a cozy getaway.
