Mammoth Estates is located in the heart of it all, walking distance to the Village at Mammoth, in a quaint and quiet forest mountain setting. This two-bedroom, two-bath property is pet friendly, and offers a spacious two-story layout. Near The Village at Mammoth, and across the street from the bus stop, the location is unbeatable with shops, restaurants, and Gondola access all within walking distance. On the upper level of the cabin, is an open floor plan living, dining and kitchen. The comfortable sectional offers a sleeper sofa for additional sleeping, and you can cozy around the wood burning fireplace, or catch a movie or the game on the large flatscreen Smart TV with cable. This home offers a private deck and forest setting. A dining space for 8 allows family meals, and the fully stocked kitchen makes food preparation easy. The full kitchen features stainless steel appliances and breakfast bar seating for 3. On the lower level are the two bedrooms, the guest bedroom features two twin beds and flatscreen TV. The full bathroom in the hall offers a tub/shower combo. The primary bedroom features a King bed, flatscreen TV and a private en-suite with tub/shower combo. The home has wood flooring in the upper level, new furnishings and sleeps a maximum of 6 people. This townhome is non-smoking, and allows one pet. A Short walk to the year round amenities Mammoth Estates has to offer such as the Game Room, Jacuzzi and Sauna. Take a plunge in the beautiful pool in hot summer months or just soak in the sun surrounded by beautiful landscape. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, Pilates and cycle studio and more. Guests will be provided two parking passes. If more parking is required than what is allotted, feel free to call our office for alternative options. Our calendar is updated in real time. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place is a bit better than the photos. The upstairs is a nice big open space with kitchen, dining space, sofas, and the fireplace. The bedrooms downstairs are nice. The rental is well prepared for your arrival and they do a lot of little things that show they take a personal interest in their guests. Everything you need, great location, really nice space. What more can you ask for?

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Have been here before, 3-4 yrs. ago, seems better. TV/streaming was good and fairly easy to figure out. Like the carpeted stairs. Internet was good but maybe because no one was in town this week. Only big complaint that the hot tub in the complex was out for reconstruction. Pool was operable though but did not use. First night a bear tipped over the dumpster out front. Fortunately it was latched and didn't open or spill. There is no code lock on it and only had a latch on one side. It's generally an issue that the reservation office only gives you one bath towel for a week, and there were no bath mats in the shower/tubs (easily could slip on a soapy surface). One towel bar in one bath was not attached. Large king bed in the master bedroom but the blankets were oddly small. Heat worked well, though. All said, would return to this unit as it takes pets and we enjoyed our stay.

Great Location

We stayed for a last minute trip to Mammoth over Thanksgiving and you cannot beat this location. Walking distance to the village and gondola. The unit seems to have been re-furnished to contemporary furniture, based on older reviews that complained about the older furnishings. Check-in/out process required us to pick up and drop off parking passes at the property manager office, which was slightly inconvenient, but overall great stay.

Obvious neglected rental

Rating Details: The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, **** condo. Carpet needed to be replaced 3-4 years ago. Both sliding glass doors and screens are barely operational and a fire hazard. Master bed squeaks if you breathe to hard on it. Motion lights that turn on if leaving master or entering either bath are one of the worst ideas I’ve ever seen and I spend 200 nights a year away from home. Unable to sleep due to being too hot downstairs because the slider is a piece of ****, the bed constantly squeaking and god forbid someone gets up to take a ****, 10k lumens in your face that can’t be turned off. I’m embarrassed for the owner.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Quick ski trip stay at one of our favorite condos. This unit was comfy and cozy although a bit outdated and in need of some attention. Our major disappointments were the thin, lousy paper towels and toilet paper, knives that don't cut, light bulbs that need changing and unworkable smoke alarms. Some said "replace by Jan 2022." Please do better, management company! Overall, we love the Mammoth Estates property and appreciate that this unit is dog friendly. We feel the management company is the one responsible for most of the things that were unsatisfactory, not the owners.

Pleasant Enough Stay

Reviewer Comments: The condo was nice enough but was lacking in some kitchen basic utensils and only had 1 tiny hot pad for the oven. The oven was not clean and was unusable without running a self cleaning cycle first, there was grease splattered all over the burning coils and a puddle of it in the back corner. The condo had no cleaning supplies which made it more difficult to try to make the oven useable. The downstairs carpet had multiple animal urine stains visible but they didn’t smell. The couch is in pretty rough shape from a comfort and cleanliness perspective. We still had a nice enough time but the condo needs to be maintained better.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First thing we noticed opening the door was the smell of a 1970s cottage. For the price they charge for Thanksgiving, you’d think it would have been somewhat updated. The TV in the master turns on, that’s the only thing it did. I don’t know why they even have it in there. The big thing that really ruined the stay was going to cook Thanksgiving dinner, and the oven and stove breaks. We had to go back and forth to an empty unit to cook our dinner.

Upon entering, unit smelled musty but the smell eventually went away. everything seemed some-what old & worn out and pots/pans were sticky from past use, I had to pre-wash things before using. it was cold at night, I turned the heater on which made a lot of squeaky noise, this too was a rather old unit but it did work. All in all, I would stay here again, pricing could be better considering the age of the unit & everything in it.

Perfect pet friendly Base camp for hikes

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was perfect for pet friendly visit with our dog to do hikes from the Sabrina basin to Yosemite. I would stay again. Location to village is ideal if visiting with dog. BBq was new and great for cooking but hard to access . Small issues with light bulbs out and the unit is dark. Reported bulbs out to mammoth reservations 3 times but no bulbs came. Only real issue was the stove top burners and oven were intermittent. Worked great one night the not the next. No clue why. The reservation folks did come and fix but did not share the trick they used so some instructions on the stove needed. But minor issues. All esle perfect for pet friendly.

Carpet , furniture is old . Stairs handrails are very old. Replacing them would appropriateLighting is very poor . 2 out of 5 bulbs over the kitchen table were out. WI-FI was very poor. I had to use my iPhone as a hotspot in ordering to get consistent reception. Cables leading to the TV were exposed and hanging from the ceiling to the TV.Glassware was a mishmosh of cups , dessert glassware etc.Fans were provided to deal w the heat but while them made a lot of noise, they couldn’t circulate air to cool a person off.Overall the unit needs a lot of TLC and aggressive remodeling.
