Our family absolutely loved this rental. It was so spacious for our group of ten people. We loved having the pool to come home to after a day at the beach. Kitchen was great was big dinners. Akers Ellis extremely responsive. Highly recommend this house!!

Great family house

A great house for a multifamily stay where all the adults had a master bedroom and the kids had a fun room. Easy bike to the beach.

Good potential but needs attention

Positives include good location near beach access, adequate common areas in living room, porch and pool area to socialize and two nice master suites. That said this home definitely feels like a rental property: Needs a deep cleaning, kitchen was disorganized and furniture was tired. We had four couples and the two “suites” in the guest house were very small…especially the baths.

We are sorry to hear of any issues experienced with the home. I can advise that our descriptions only list the property having three suites - two in the main house and one in the guest house. We are sorry for any miscommunication that may have made it seem otherwise. I have passed your other comments to our property management team and housekeeping partners to investigate and address as needed. I am pleased to advise that no other guests throughout the busy season has shared the same opinions or experienced issues.

Dail Days at Kiawah.

We had a wonderful time with just a couple of small hiccups at house. Primary suite shower was clogged with standing water. Since it was late Saturday afternoon when we arrived my husband went to the hardware store and bought what was necessary to fix it. We didn’t report it to agency. A couple of big pots in kitchen would be nice for low country boil or pasta meals. Use of garage remotes would also be very handy.

Great house

Have been to kiawah 7 times in last ten years. This was far and away the nicest property we have stayed at. Close to beach, quiet area. Two separate living spaces made it perfect for traveling with two families or teens.

A little disappointed

Beautiful home but not as clean as I would have liked. We had 2 small children and the area rug in the main room was so dirty that we put a blanket down for kids to play on. The ice maker worked occasionally and we had no oven for the first 4 days and the property manager thought that was ok.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the home. From our records, I see that our team stopped by the same days that it was reported. They found that it was taking a while to heat up, but was working and the boiler was working properly. After further investigation, they found that the bake igniter needed to be replaced. They were able to obtain the part and replace it two days later. We apologize for any incvonience as it was an unforeseeable maintenance issue that was addressed as quickly as possible. Please also accept our apologies for any cleanliness issues, as it does not appear that we were previously notified of these. We have passed your comments to our property management team and housekeeping partners to ensure that this is not missed for future renters.

We have rented with Akers Ellis numerous times in the past 25 years we have been coming to the Low Country. It has always been a great experience. Any issues are quickly resolved by a professional staff who seem to value the importance of our family time. We love the home at 147 Hooded Merganser because it fits our family dynamic so well. Love the home, location to the beach and private heated pool. We are so blessed to be able to stay in such a wonderful venue each fall. We will return again.

Beautiful location, truly a gem of a property. The layout made for a great place to have time together, while having your own sense of privacy. We loved our time there and will definitely be back!

Lots of space!

It is really just for a quick dip. Some of the furniture was tired and not clean enough for us.

Great house!

Had a wonderful time with family and friends. Plenty of seating and a short bike ride to the beach. Privacy of guest house was great! Looking forward to staying here again in November!

Great location and great house for multiple families. Particularly because half of the bedrooms are completely separate from the main part of the house. We loved it.
