Great Cabin in Cloudcroft

The house has a cabin feel, it is nice and warm, good entertainment system, great location, pretty much the best of Cloudcroft!

Highly Recommend

The area was beautiful & quiet. We loved the wrap around balcony - so beautiful. The included games was super fun - gave our little family activities to do in the evening. We enjoyed our stay there! Bianca and Jesus were so friendly when welcoming us (over the phone) to their cabin. Everything is as expected from the post to reality. Highly recommend!!

The weather was great, and the cabin suited our needs very well. Due to the heavy recent rains, the road was in rough shape, but not the fault of the property owners.

Second time to stay

We absolutely love this location. You can walk to town and to the Brewery. You see so much wildlife from the deck! House is always clean, and has everything you need. We will be back!

Comfortable Pine Forest Retreat!

Our stay in this house was lovely, with comfortable & clean rooms and beds. The wraparound deck made watching and listening to the wildlife especially nice from the lovely master bedroom.Communication with the owner was excellent, making us confident of any help we might need being attended to. This is a very nice location in Cloudcroft. There are many things to do - we especially loved the Sun Spot Observatory which was about 15 minutes drive away. Be aware that the elevation is about 8800 feet, making it possible you will experience altitude sickness. There are warnings and assistance everywhere. I live only 135 feet above sea level, so it took me a couple of days to acclimate to the elevation.

This was our second time staying here and we can’t wait to come back again! The space is clean and updated, and had everything we needed. The host is very responsive and helpful. This will definitely be our go-to place when we visit Ruidoso!

Peaceful and comfortable

This place was fantastic. Clean. Quiet. Peaceful. The property manager took the initiative to reach out about early check in if needed and was very responsive. The town is small and quiet. The brewery pizza restaurant was delicious!

Comfortable and Serene

This home was convenient, clean and comfortable. It was well stocked. The wrap around porch was nice but had limited seating. The master bedroom was roomy and the bathroom area with 2 sinks was nice. The beds were comfortable. The entrance had just a few steps and the driveway was level.

Clean and Great Location

My family and I had an amazing vacation at this cabin! This was the cleanest place we have stayed in a long time. Everything was as stated in the listing. This home backs up to the Lincoln Forest with beautiful views of the trees and we were able to see many animals on our stay. The location was close to town, but still in a place that felt a little more secluded. It was in a very quiet area. We will definitely book here again if we return to the area.

Cozy and cute

House was just perfect for our family of 7. Very clean and cozy. Would definitely recommend staying here; pull out bed didn’t have sheets but there were plenty of blankets to make the bed.

Wonderful Cabin in Cloudcroft

We had a very relaxing few days at this cabin. The only negative was the snow caused a major issue getting out of the driveway. We were told that if we didn't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, there was an alternate route to get to the cabin. BUT, we couldn't get out of the actual driveway in our van. Otherwise, it was FANTASTIC!!!!

Great location!!

This was our first time in Cloudcroft, and this was the perfect location to stay!! Walking distance of the main street (as long as you dont mind some hills!), boarders national forrest with lots of wildlife, and very clean. The only suggestions I have for future travelers is to bring extra items like dishwasher pods, trashbags, and any kind of food storage containers as they provide very few. I would also note that although there is seating for 4 outside, they are two high chairs and two low chairs, so my family of 5 could not eat together outside at the same table. But, it gave the kids a chamce to eat without us hovering! This is a great place! Elk, deer and even a herd of horses came through multiple times during our stay!

Disappointing

Old, run down! Floor sticky from something! Some dishes not clean. Couldn’t tell if dishes were clean or not. Bed pillows and bedsheets were old and need replacing. Old fish in freezer.

Excellent cabin for families with young children

Cabin very roomy, especially central room. Well equipped: high chair, Pack n' Play, even a fly swatter. Excellent washer and dryer. Large outside deck. Good wildlife viewing: elk, wild horses, deer. Quiet neighborhood. Large master bedroom and bathroom. Cabin clean upon arrival. Hostess eager to help, suggesting a nearby pediatrician for sick toddler. Provided map to cabin to avoid steep roads and other information about sites and cafes. Good WIFI and streaming channels. Small backyard has gate to access national forest area. One guest did not like the toilet being open to the master bedroom.

A nice retreat

Thanks for letting us stay at your cabin. This trip was long but once we were able to get into bed, it was relaxing. The property was a little difficult to get to, and since we came in super late/early, we had to figure out some things on our own (Jesus sent maps that made so much sense...the next day). Once we were able to navigate to the right path, we understood that there is only one way to get up the slick hill and to the cabin. We also got stuck each morning in the driveway but I blame myself for those. Otherwise, the property was delightful. We had some older kids that wanted some separation and this place was (somehow) great for that. Perfect for gathering, as well as getting comfortable and waking up to horses on the back of the property each morning definitely helped with that. I'm not sure about the others but the king bed was super firm and I expected worse sleep. Surprisingly, I woke up super refreshed each morning. The water was nice and warm but I might suggest adding some basics like onion/garlic powder for cooking. Something to note for those going to ski cloudcroft -- check conditions first. We rented this property with the hopes of skiing 10 minutes away and while there was snow, it wasn't enough to open the majority of the mountain. We ended up driving and hour and a half each day to ski Apache. Still a great time though!
