Beautiful 5-bedroom cottage across from Bass Lake

Harbor Haven is a charming cottage at the end of a wooded, quiet street, with lake access just across the road to all-sports Bass Lake, perfect for wading into, swimming, boating and fishing.

A great central location to many area attractions, the home is just nine minutes away from Lake Michigan, 10 minutes from the many shops and restaurants of downtown Pentwater and 21 minutes from the popular downtown Ludington area. Silver Lake Dunes are a 23-minute drive away.

This 2-level A-frame home has five bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, Harbor Haven can host a large group. Three bedrooms are on one side of the home with their own full bathroom, and two on the other side with a full bathroom — perfect for two families. The dining table seats six with another four stools situated at the kitchen counter. The home also features a back patio with table and chairs, a backyard campfire pit with many chairs and a large front yard. A lot of space for families to spread out.

The kitchen offers everything you will need to prepare meals.

A Flat screen TV in the living room has Netflix and a DVD player for that occasional rainy night. Wifi is also included.

Your sheets, bathroom towels and kitchen towels are included.

Other area activities include Mears State Park, a 50-acre state park in Pentwater, Mac Woods Dune rides through the dunes at Silver Beach, AJ's Adventure Land miniature golf course, visiting the lighthouses in the area and of course beautiful Lake Michigan.

The house was perfect! We enjoyed every minute. Nikki was so responsive and nice to work with! Bass lake was a quick walk and the location is perfect to easily drive to Pentwater or Ludington!

This is the perfect location that really feels like you’re getting away from the hustle and bustle of life. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful road that the home is situated on and all of the amenities the home provided. It is cozy and welcoming!

This home is on a quiet street, comfortably accommodated 10 people. The house was very clean and has all the amenities. Comfortable beds and the A/C works well. Enjoyed the fire pit in the backyard. Definitely a place to come as close to downtown Pentwater and the beach. Had a great time sitting outside or watching Netflix on the tv. Had a great time and highly recommend

Great house

The lay out of this house is perfect! 2 bedrooms upstairs off of living room. There is 1 bedroom on first floor and 2 more bedrooms & 2nd bath upstairs above garage right off the kitchen! Perfect size for a large group! Queens & full size beds were not comfortable. The twins were. They had everything we needed! Great washer & dryer! We enjoyed the fire pit at night!

Pentwater 2023

This property location and set up was great. It had plenty of room for our kids and grandkids! The proximity to all the things to do in the area was perfect, it was literally 15 minutes from everything! The owners had prepared great information on what to see and do in the area which was extremely helpful. I will say some of the property needs some updating but would definitely stay here again!

Quiet lake vibes

We stayed with family and enjoyed our stay! Close to the beaches and downtown Pentwater and Ludington also, for anything you needed or just a quick run for ice cream! We would stay again! Management was friendly and quick to respond to questions.

Great cottage for a group!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location close to beaches, sailing, golfing, and not too far to Pentwater or Ludington for favorite restaurants. Comfortable beds for all. Each room had an ac/ heat unit, which was very nice and worked well. Kitchen is set up well, and we cooked dinner for 8 nearly every evening. Hot water plentiful. Bass Lake access right across the street to put in our kayaks. We were able to paddle through the outlet to Lake Michigan. Garage was great for storing our kayaks and the second fridge was awesome to have for the group. Awesome fire pit and deck. We asked for the fridge water filter to be changed and West Shore handled it within 24 hours. It’s an older cottage with lovely first floor renovations, and needed to be aired out when we first arrived. It was a very pleasant place. Highly recommend!

Three generations having fun!

It was Grandma, adult children and 5 grandkids, 10 and under. The layout of the home was perfect for us, all the kids in the wing away from the adults. Perfect!

Pentwater 2021

The house was super cute, little musty smell. Location to downtown Pentwater was maybe 7-8 minutes? Close to Silver Lake and Ludington. House was in the perfect location if you’re not looking for water front. Checking in was an issue. We did not receive instruction so we assumed we’d receive something once we arrived. Daughter showed up first so then we started freaking out because there were no instructions. I could not get ahold of anyone! It took me about four calls to finally get ahold of a person. The check in email was sent. Daughter was then able to get in the house.
