Located in Santa Barbara’s ultra beach-focused neighborhood with a plethora of bike and walking trails, rows of palm trees, and sprawling parks meeting the sand. East Beach is known for its beach volleyball courts, oceanfront resorts, and an abundance of sun. Walk to Tri-County Produce for picnic supplies then across the street for beach time, and end the day with a sunset dinner at Convivo overlooking the water. Don't forget the Santa Barbara Zoo is a short stroll away!

Built in 1911, this historic Paradise Retreats cottage offers two properties for large families and groups. The homes have been impeccably restored honoring its vintage charm while including modern conveniences. Designed for living a relaxed seaside life, the front house is filled with natural light and fresh air. The formal Living Room features plenty of seating and the attached sunroom offers additional lounging options. The Bedrooms are all expertly decorated and the primary Bedroom offers a sunny reading nook. The separate loft has its own Living Room, Kitchen, Laundry and three separate sleeping areas. The property also features a private indoor hot tub, exercise room, outdoor dining, and a grill. Stay at home and enjoy the amenities or spend time at the beach and Funk Zone!

We did not have access to the hot tub or the exercise room until the afternoon of day 2- both were locked. Also, the internet was very spotty- this was a major issue as one of us had to do a pre scheduled interview on our phone, and I had to negotiate a real estate contact on my phone as well.

Positives: clean upon arrival and sheets were good quality.Negatives: Property manager provided lip service, but no action, regarding a wasp issue. Older homes and many windows either did not open at all or would not stay open (broken ropes). Half-bathroom location in main house not convenient and not adequately described. Overpriced by 2k for the six nights we stayed there.

East Coast visits West Coast

Five east coast women made plans for a long weekend visiting our west coast friend. The rental house was a perfect fit. The kitchen is well appointed with all the tools needed to cook breakfast and lunch and the dining table was large enough for all of us to eat together. The home's location is both perfect for long morning walks along the beach and close to downtown Santa Barbara.

Great spot in SB.

Had some trouble accessing the upper half of the house and being able to communicate with the property managers on the first night. They were very apologetic and made it right in the end. Overall we had a great stay and loved the house and location.

Great stay for a family weekend

We had a great time staying at this property. We enjoyed walking to nearby parks, the zoo, and the beach. The property was set up well for our two families, where one stayed in the loft with two adults and their three kids and the other downstairs with two adults and two kids. The kitchen was well-equipped. We all enjoyed the hot tub.

Family wedding

The space was beautiful and within walking distance of the venue and beach. Everyone commented on the comfortable bedrooms and well fitted kitchens. Would highly recommend this to anyone with a large group.

Beautiful home

Its a beautiful home and a short walk to the beach. Its a busy neighborhood so parking is tight if you have more than one car. The back yard is special, the gardens are beautifully maintained and the home is well equipped. Pay attention to the bed sizes and number of bathrooms. A few of the beds are doubles and not great for couples. Sharing bathrooms is always challenging.

Family gathering best location!

A group of 7 plus 2 infants we ranged from 4 months to 70! Ideal house and loft for privacy for all PLUS great furnishings for talking and superb beds! A block from a magnificent beach and close to the action of downtown Santa Barbara minus the noise! Highly recommend! Paradise rentals the property manager outstanding! Respond within minutes, kind, gracious and helpful. The house worked out so well for us all. Thank you!

Reunion with college friends

We had a lovely time in the beautiful house and loft! 10 (75yr old) women catching up, having fun and making new memories. The house was very clean and well~kept. And well~situated. And we all managed with just 2 and one half bathrooms! Thank you for all your help!

Sea Captains House and Loft

This property fit our needs for our daughter’s wedding weekend. We needed older grandparents to babysit, but also needed an additional space for us to relax without everyone. The loft suited that need perfectly. We did not have time to enjoy the exercise room or hot tub, but what a nice bonus. Most everything you need is there…home away from home!
