Sierra Megeve 8 Cozy Yet Spacious Condo, Just A Short Walk To Canyon Lodge by RedAwning

This slopeside condo is great for a group of couples looking for a perfect

mountain getaway! Located directly across the parking lot from Canyon Lodge,

location does not get any closer than this 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom condo. A

spacious living area with a 65" flat screen TV, new stereo, wood-burning

fireplace, wireless internet, and large sectional couch with room for

everyone. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the conveniences to cook a

nice meal for the family or extra company.



The master bedroom on the main level features a Queen bed with flatscreen TV,

DVD player, and attached private bathroom with double vanity. The second

bedroom, also downstairs, has a bunk bed with two double beds and twin trundle

underneath, flat screen TV, DVD player and shared bathroom. The third bedroom

upstairs has a queen bed, flat screen TV, DVD player and private attached

bathroom also with double vanity.



This property is adjacent to the lifts, sport shop and ski school at Canyon

Lodge, as well as the Village Gondola allowing easy access to all the shops,

restaurants and nightlife at the Village at Mammoth. All guests receive

complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities

including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga,

pilates and cycle studio and more. The condo comes with one assigned parking

spot in an underground parking garage (clearance 7' 2") with another parking

spot available on a first come, first serve basis at the complex. If more

parking is required than what is allotted, feel free to call our office for

alternative options. The condo sleeps a maximum occupancy of 7, there are 16

stairs to the condo, 2 levels inside and no smoking or pets are permitted. Our

Proximity and Comfort

This was one of the best if not best places we have stayed in Mammoth. It was a stones throw from Canyon Lodge, was comfortable, cozy with a nice hot tub to replenish in after a long day on the mountain.

Our Time in Mammoth

Nice, spacious condo. Enjoyed the floor space/square footage and that it was not cramped, even in the bathrooms. Glad we were on the top floor & enjoyed being near a trolley stop-off, which we took advantage of a couple of times.Appreciate being let in early, because it was ready. No slider covering, but we contacted the agency & a maintenance person arrived shortly. He installed some sheets over the glass and that helped. We also asked for a third key for our party and he brought one to us on his return to cover the slider. Thanks for the third key!Our group patronized several breakfast cafes and also made use of the Snowcreek Athletic Club gym. This is a nice feature and I hope Mammoth Sierra Reservations continues this complimentary amenity.On-site manager and family live nearby beneath this unit & they have several children/relatives that visit. Because we had a baby with us (and enjoyed having the windows open to take in the nice weather) that had to nap, the kids' play noise level was a little disturbing at times. We mentioned this to the manager and he was understanding, but we realize kids will play & make noise (scream, yell, etc.), and not always remember how loud they can be. This probably would not be an issue with another condo location and if we did not have the baby.

Cozy Stay Steps From Canyon!

We were very happy with this condo. From check-in to check out, the ladies at the rental office were incredibly helpful and pleasant.There was a huge storm that week and we ended up staying in the condo the first two days. It had everything we needed. Yes, it’s on the second floor so there are some stairs to climb, but they are indoors, directly out of the garage on one end of the building. At the other end it’s only one flight and a short walk across the street and down a little hill to Canyon Lodge. On the days we went skiing we used this hill to get back to the condo for lunch. The condo’s location is so convenient. The kitchen had everything we needed (but we also had packed a few of our own pantry items). The condo was also very clean. The toilet off the master could use some maintenance, but it worked. It’s a bit dated but still very comfortable for our family. Only one of our friends ended up being able to join us so we were 5 people spread out across the 3 bedrooms (and 3 baths!). The kids loved the roomy bunk beds. Bring your own board games since the ones in the condo are missing some pieces. The large smart TV had plenty of streaming apps. There is a storage closet in the hallway for storing ski gear. We were lucky and our friend snagged one of the guest parking spaces in the garage. There was so much snow! The only real “complaint” is that because we were so close to the mountain, there was a lot of noise from the snow tractors and avalanche clearing going on early in the morning. Poor us! We would definitely rent this condo again.

Not for the Old

Overall I'd rate this place very nice and certainly a good value. The living room is superb for a large group with a nice layout and plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is a bit small so the living room is larger, the tradeoff is okay. We had two major issues with this property, the stairs are not easy to climb from the parking below and there is only one permit issued for a three bedroom place. Fortunately there is extra guest parking and parking on the street but this is not easy information to determine when making a reservation. We were there on a very hot weekend in August and closing a few broken windows was not easily done. Overall very clean and well taken cared for. I would recommend a map view of these units be included with the pictures.

Closest to Canyon Lodge

The garage parking was very nice to have. The locker outside of the house was very great for our gear and it also had a few sleds that was super fun to use. In the house was clean, stocked with a lot of dishes and utensils, pots and pans, sleeping stuff, books and games, and firewood. We definitely would stay here if we ever return to Mammoth. Thank you and Happy New Year!

place is dated, broken shower doors, balcony sliding doors do not lock, kitchen water pressure was very weak but i totally recommend this place. location location location. property managent was great. my only complaint would be parking. 3 bdrm condo with one parking spot?!!how can u fit 3 couples a child and all ur luggage plus ski/boarding gear and expect to fit everyone in one vehicle. not practical.

Great condo next the ski lift!

The condo is in a great location that is just steps away from the ski slopes. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen was well equip. There was also plenty of room for all 6 of us to sit on the living room couch. The master bedroom bed was king size and comfortable. The hot tub was large and could fit at least 15 people if you wanted to. The wood burning fireplace was a nice finishing touch with a wood pile on the balcony. Each of the 3 bedrooms has their own tv and bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Last minute ski trip

We planned a last minute New Year’s Eve trip to Mammoth. I was shocked that there was absolutely nothing available to accommodate 7 people. After 1 week of looking this property appeared on VRBO. So glad that it was 3 bd/3 bath. Perfect size. I had know idea what was a good location til I got there. This place was ideal for walking to the Canyon Lodge. 1 minute and you are on the lift and we came back to the condo for lunch and did not have to spend a fortune on resort food and drinks. This place has 2 master bedrooms and a good size 3rd bedroom and nice fireplace. The downside is you have to walk up 2 flights of stairs which took my breath away when loading and unloading the car. Also the decor is a little outdated. The pots and pans and utensils were really old with broken handles and the oven mits were dirty with caked on food. If this condo got a complete renovation with new flooring, countertops, fixtures and furniture it would be an awesome place for a ski vacation. I was so glad it popped up at the last minute.
