The designer chef’s kitchen with eat-in bar for four is open to the grand dining room featuring endless scenic views and an expansive natural wood table with seating for twelve. Cozy living spaces on three levels, a stunning setting in the Rockies, and proximity to ski area access and shuttle service provide an idyllic backdrop for unforgettable family memories.

Amenities offered by Breck Lodge include a private outdoor hot tub; flat screen Smart TVs; fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker; wood burning fireplace; recreation room with table tennis, pool table, and wet bar; and full-size washer and dryer. The home’s tucked-away loft reading nook, wrap-around deck directly off the kitchen with stocked propane BBQ grill, and secure on-property parking for 4 vehicles add to the long list of home-away-from-home necessities.

Easy access to hiking trails and Robbie's Tavern. Room for everyone. Views of Peak 8 were amazing!Neg thoughts: Though it does say that there will be 1 wash cloth per person, as a group of 11 women, starting off with 2 per person would have been nice. We washed towels every day. The cleaning crew showed up an hour before check-out time which made us feel like we needed to hurry up, as well as parked in the driveway and didn't move when we were leaving. One of our cars had to turn around in the driveway to get around them.

Great Stay

Cabin was clean. If it is hot be prepared- no air conditioning in the home. Views were spectacular. 1/2 mile from nearly everything. Can walk a path through the trees to Peak 8. I would stay here again

It is so close to the base of Peak 8, and yet it is situated in the woods so you still feel like you're a cabin. We saw lots of wildlife, including moose. Our family enjoyed it, with the exception of when there was somebody taking up residence in the woods on the property, but that's not necessarily something that would happen again. It wasn't perfectly pristine, but there were 5 kids staying there so it probably wouldn't have stayed pristine anyway. There's no water filter and the water tastes terrible so do plan on bringing your own water or filter. The hot tub is great. There were plenty of towels for our purposes. The kids loved the bunk beds. The main bedroom's bathroom is really nice! No AC, so plan accordingly if that bothers you. We would consider staying here again.

Great for Large Groups!

There was open communication and the hosts were very responsive.The cabin is in a supreme location—just at the border of the main ski village and we were not disturbed by neighbors or nearby activities. There is ample space surrounding the forest with sparse trees and we set up a large tent just off the porch.The cabin is nicely furnished with plenty of beds and two extra twin mattresses. We enjoyed the game room and lounge areas; you wouldn’t be bored on a rainy day.Overall, our stay was nice my only complaint being that we ran out of hot water for showers in a short time, so watch out if you need a big crowd showered at the same time. But the hot tub was a welcomed added plus and comfortable fit seven people. The large deck is a great amenity too. Highly recommend!

Perfectly Imperfect Home, we Loved it.

Management was great, check in was super easy, and that is coming from a very "technical challenged" person! We had 9 adults (two sets of parents, and their post college grad "baby adults").The mountain view took our breath away from the start.The house is roomy for all to spread out and yet still is cozy (right down to the cobwebs hanging from the wood beams- and the very poor lighting). We built a fire every night,The young adults loved the jacuzzi and the views! We were so worn out at night that we never utilized the pool table downstairs, but we so enjoyed sitting at the big dinner table every night and sharing our misadventures and wipeouts over wine and good food! We did bring our own Bose speaker for music (after I inquired about lack of bluetooth options ). The baby adults very much enjoyed the hot tub (and the views !) Kitchen is super small, and only allows one cook in the kitchen at a time. Low shelves and angles are dangerous to big heads. Bathrooms have those 1970s low sinks we grew up with and need updating but was sufficient . IT was a short hike to launching area, but was truly ski back in.Loved easy ski storage in garage! Perfectly Imperfect, we would go back in a heartbeat!

The location was a 2 min walk through the woods to the base of Peak 8. We had skiers age 4 - 70 and no one had any complaints about getting to and from the slopes. We loved spending time sitting around the large dining room table and large living room space. We appreciated that there was a crock-pot and used that for several of our dinners. We did not have any issues, but were texted several times by the management company to make sure we were having a great stay.

Great Location For Ski Access

We had a great stay at Breck Lodge. The house had a lot of mountain charm and the proximity to the slopes was excellent - a very short walk right out the back of the house. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Great Ski In / Ski Out Location at Peak 8!

This is a great ski-in / ski-out property! The house was well kept and ready for us when we arrived, and check in was a breeze. Downstairs living room was the perfect hang out for the kids to watch movies while the adults relaxed upstairs. We kept the fireplace on the main floor going in the morning and evenings with the well stocked supply of wood. We never used the hot tub but it looked to be in good shape and someone came by mid week to do the standard maintenance. The only downside for our three families was that only two of the bedrooms had in-suite bathrooms. So one family had to stay in a bunk room and use the hall bath. Not a huge deal for us but something to be aware of. We rented cars so we used them to go into town in lieu of the shuttle, but for skiing the location was fabulous! There is a short trail through the backyard that takes you to a great practice area for beginners. From there you can pop on your skis and head down to any of the peak 8 base lifts. On the way in we were able to ski the trail right to the driveway! This made it very easy to come in mid day with the kids for a short break, and they loved sledding the trail in the afternoon. Overall nice house with a great location!

Family and friends ski trip

We had 3 families each with 2 kids staying at this property and it was perfect. The kids had the downstairs living space to hang out at night while the adults took the upstairs by the fire. Everyone was able to come and go as they pleased from the slopes as it was an easy walk to the slopes and a straight shot to ski or board back in. We will definitely be back.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second year we have stayed at this property and we have already reserved it for 2024. There were 10 guys and it sleeps 12-13. The Pros and Cons are listed belowPROS:1. A very short walk of about 130 steps from the front door to where you can put on your skis. Plenty close to come in for lunch if you don't want to pay resort prices for food.2. Great hot tub, holds four comfortably and up to six. Temperature consistent around 104 degrees.3. Nice BBQ grill, we cooked out every night.4. We didn't use them but there is a pool table, ping pong table and multiple tv's.5. Washer/dryer was great.6. New sofas in living room were a plus from last year also a fireplace with firewood.7. River Ridge rentals personnel very easy to deal with and very professional.CONS:1. Partially because of the elevation the house is very dry. We used humidifiers every night which helped somewhat.2.There is one room on the main floor that does not have a door. It is right behind the kitchen and your light sleepers should not stay there. It is a quasi bunk bed and the top bunk is relatively small. It might be great for kids but not for an adult.

Very close to the base of Peak 8, it's ski-in (with a bit of poling) and hike-out, but the hike is only about 50yds to where you can pop your skis on and get moving. Garage and right inside from garage had great and copious storage for skis, poles, boots, helmets, etc. The kitchen was well-stocked and even had a spice rack (gasp!) - all of that was well-appreciated as we cooked nearly every night and generally came back for lunch bc it was so convenient. (Grill was also a big plus.) House was in great shape, beds were comfy, appreciated that the heat could be adjusted just about everywhere individually and that there were several humidifiers for use. Layout was great in that there were good spaces for groups/kids/individuals to be where we weren't all on top of each other, but dining area was large enough that we could also all sit down and eat together. Pool and ping pong were hits, especially among the kids; hot tub was generally loved by all. River Ridge was really responsive if we ever had a question or needed anything. The few areas where we thought there was room for improvement were:- the basement is pretty cold; seemed like at least one of the baseboard heaters might not be working, and perhaps there is some opportunity to improve the sealing on the door/s etc. - It would be awesome if each bedroom had a laundry basket to ferry things up and down - the wifi left a lot to be desired for folks who were trying to get some work or homework done on off days or evenings. It was nearly impossible to connect. If it were moved to the living room that would probably help a lot. - 1st floor water pressure was amazing; 2nd floor not so much.- despite the number of advanced degrees among us, we could have used a 1-sheet on how to get best results with the fireplace. :)All in all, we would definitely stay there again. Great Stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were most pleased with the stay at the Breck Lodge. We had a group of 9, including five adults and four kids. The house was a perfect set up for us. The kids loved the downstairs game and bunk room. The adults loved the stocked kitchen, very comfortable living room, the WINDOWS and VIEW, proximity to the mountain...the list goes on and on. Management was responsive (although the house was in great condition so we didn't need much). There is a trail behind that house that leads to the children's learning area on peak 8. The trail isn't too long, but just be aware it is a little walk. My (70 year old) mother didn't love the walk, but the rest of the group didn't have much trouble with it. Highly recommend and hope to return some day!
