Very spacious- definitely needs an upgrade

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was good. Condo was spacious but it really needs an up to date renovation.

25th Anniversary Trip to Maui

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately our rental was not ready on time. We walked in at 4:00 and it was not cleaned yet. The management company sent one of their cleaning staff in to clean and she did a fabulous job (it was very gross when we walked in). Luckily our family rented another condo so we had somewhere to wait. The condo worked out great for us. It was in a good location. Not the hustle and bustle of being near the hotels. Much quiter.

Rating Details: The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very unhappy with our experience at Kauhale Makai 410 During our 1 week stay there was constant noise from the unit above us while they worked on a slate floor repair. We should of never been placed in this unit while there was CONSTANT noise from above. We have started a dispute with our credit card company with many months advance payment we should of been given another unit where we could be comfortable and happy. Our screen door was off the track and couldnt be fixed. As far as being able to go to the office and complain and also the Maui Condo was not available to we reached out to our credit card company to complain (which during our conversation with credit card co. they heard all the noise above us) Very unhappy with our stay!!

Nice condo in good location. Very clean and has everything we needed. Details like bathroom scale, hair dryer, rise cooker, made our stay very enjoyable. The ocean view is awesome. We loved to walk on the beach in front of the property while enjoy the beautiful sunset. The Air conditioning was nice and powerful.

The ocean view from the lanai is very beautiful, and the grounds are well kept This condo, however, is not. The cleaning person deserves kudos for what they have to work with. Other reviews indicated the condo had been remodeled. Not true. Everything is original. It was clean with the exception of the bathroom air conditioning vent. Disgusting. The furniture, fixtures and finishes are old, ugly and most likely original. The furniture looks like it was purchased in the late 80s or at a garage sale. The bathroom is very dark and there are worn Rubbermaid stickers on the bathtub floor. There is no plug for the tub, not that we would have filled it for a bath. Eww. The dishes were very old, most were chipped or cracked. Only 3 drinking size glasses in the cabinet. The sheets were very thin, worn and had pills on them. Pillows were old and the pillowcases would not stay put. Please put new plastic on the dining room chairs. I snagged my clothes on the corners. Sorry, but this owner has a lot of work to do and

Very nice condo with great ocean view. Good location, close to shopping, restaurants, and activities. The sunset view from balcony was awesome. The condo was clean and well stuffed with everything we need.

View was great - unit very dated

Check in was difficult due to Covid requirements. Otherwise typically everything would have very smooth. The unit while spacious was very dated with worn and soiled furniture and carpets. The closests and cupboards were completely full of additional small appliances, lamps, lampshades, toasters (we counted 4) to the point where we had no room for food or suitcases. And we were to stay for 2 weeks. The unit next to 410 was being completely gutted and renovated- so noise from table saws and hammering went on from 9-4pm. There was a smell in the bedroom we couldn't figure out and when we checked in with the front desk the next day to get our parking pass she suggested we report the conditions back to our rental agent. We did and they moved us to unit 605 the very next day. We are so thankful for their help in this. We are very happy with our new accommodations which is making our time here in Maui so much more enjoyable. Thank you Maui Condo and Home for taking such good care of us!

Nicely remodelled condo in a nice location, convinient to go everywhere on the island. Kitchen is nicely stuffed with everything we need. Great ocean view from balcony. We see whales in almost every early morning from the balcony.

Great Condo right on the beach with nice ocean view. The sunset view is breath taking. Nice kitchen with everything we need. Bathroom has hair dryer and scale. Lots of video for kids and books for adults. The location is right at the center of Maui, convinient for all kinds of activities. There are good restaurants near by.

I rented this condo for my daughter and son in-law for their honeymoon. They enjoyed the grounds as they were maintained well. They were disappointed in the fact that the condo was old and out dated and it had a musty odor smell. They wanted to turn off the air conditioner to let in a fresh ocean air but couldn’t. Keeping the air conditioner running was the only way to mask the smell. It fit their needs and were excited to be in Maui but perhaps the condo wasn’t worth the money that was paid due to the smell, baseboards/ceiling appear to have mold spores growing and being out dated.

Worst condominium ever!

My wife and I have stayed in many different types of accommodations over the 45 years we have traveled, from Motel 6 to 5-star accommodations, and can live with varying degrees of quality, but we concluded after staying here for 6 nights that this is the worst unit we have ever been in. It looks like the unit was built in the 1970s and little has been done to update it since then, including the furniture. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and the linens were older than what I have seen at Goodwill. Electrical outlets in the kitchen in did not work. We happened to run into a former co-worker that has another unit in the same condominium and he could not believe how poor condition our unit was in. To make matters worse, we did not find out until after we had already made a non-refundable payment that work was happening to the exterior of the building. It turned out that workers were using heavy equipment to remove concrete and steel portions of the lanais, which made it impossible to stay in the room, and very unpleasant to be around the pool, during work hours. Stay away from this unit!
