We would def stay here again if we return to South Padre Island! Short sidewalk walk to beach, very nice pool & super cute condo! It was a little bit of a maze to find everything initially, and the couch had many stains on it which made us a little uncomfortable to sit on it. Otherwise, all was great!

The property was very nice, spacious, and overall a great place to stay. Unfortunately, we did run into a few issues during our visit.There was an additional 140 fee that was not disclosed prior to booking. We were required to pay 35 per person for wristbands in order to use the property amenities. The office only accepted cash, and there was no ATM on the property, so we had to leave to find one and rush back before the office closed.We also discovered that one of the bedrooms did not have a comforter, so we were left with only a sheet in a very cold room. I contacted the office about the missing comforter as well as dead batteries in two of the remotes. We were told someone would come by to take care of both issues, but unfortunately no one ever came until literally the morning we were checking out. We ultimately had to purchase a blanket and batteries ourselves.The property itself was very nice, but these issues made the stay less comfortable and convenient than we expected.

Based on the listing pictures, I was expecting a clean and comfortable property. However, it is clear that the photos do not reflect the actual reality of the accommodations.Specifically, I have encountered the following major issues: - The couches in the living room are disgusting and very uncomfortable. - The mattress and the sheets are of bottom-level quality. - The washing machine was not working. - The policy for fresh linens is highly inconvenient; requiring guests to strip the beds and drive a couple of miles to an office just to swap sheets and towels is unacceptable.Overall, the condition of this property is terrible, and had I known the reality of the situation, I would not have booked this stay.Sorry for the negative review, but these are all my honest feedback.

After reading your review, I personally inspected the condo and compared it to the listing photos. Based on that inspection, I believe the photos accurately represent the property's current condition. I also reviewed the furnishings, including the living room furniture, mattresses, and linens, with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure everything met our standards. Our linens are professionally laundered after every guest stay and are inspected after each wash. Any items that show excessive wear are replaced as needed. While mattress and furniture comfort can be subjective, I appreciate your comments and will keep them in mind as we evaluate future updates to the condo. I am also sorry to hear that you experienced an issue with the washing machine. I wish we had been made aware of it during your stay, as we would have been happy to send our maintenance team to inspect it the same day. Since your departure, we have tested the washer and confirmed that it is operating properly, and we have not received any additional reports of problems from subsequent guests. Because Gulfpoint does not have an on-site laundry facility, Padre Island Rentals offers a complimentary towel and linen exchange during your stay. While we understand that our Welcome Center is located off-site, this service allow

Let me start with the check in, we could not handle it online but had to go to a reservation center where we were given the codes to the doors and gates. We arrived at the property and the door was unlocked. When we tried to leave a few hours later we found the electronic lock would not work. We called the reservation center and they said they knew the lock didn't work and we would have to come back to the reservation center to get keys. I told them that due to traffic that would take an hour and that they should just deliver the keys to me. They refused saying that it was my issue and hung up. When my son went to get the keys they told him they had texted me about the keys, but that was not true. The Padre Island Rentals company was horrible and I would never use their services again.The property is older but not terrible. The sign at the door said to remove sandy shoes and we did so only to find that the interior floor had not been cleaned and was covered with sand. We swept that up and decided to get on with the vacation. Then we find that our rental did not cover the admission to the pool and we were required to pay 20 for everyone over 6 years old and that no one would be admitted to the pool unless they wore an armband. When we did use the pool we found it full of people that were not wearing armbands and the gate was held open so that anyone could enter.I would not recommend this facility to anyone and we would up leaving a day early due to our disappointment

Great place, loved the pool and property grounds. There were some dishes in the cabinets that were dirty. I placed the ones I found in the dishwasher, which we started when we left. That was kind of gross, so I would recommend checking that regularly. There were a few other things, that could have been a little cleaner, but not gross like the dishes. Also, the shelf in the primary bedroom, just outside the bathroom is a booby trap. I ran smack into it and have a black eye and am very sore. We think the game room should stay open later than 5pm. I would stay here again, it was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed the condo and the property

We really enjoyed our time in SPI. The condo was spacious and perfect for our family of five. The only thing I would add is some extra blankets but other than that, the condo was perfect!

Great spot for a quick getaway

1st time to SPI and this location was great. The set up was fantastic. 3 BR with 3 baths and plenty of room overall. Close the pool and a short walk to the beach. We had everything we needed in the condo. Will for sure rent again.

Overall this was a decent condo and we felt like it was a great value for what we paid to get 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is no pretty beach or bay views but the small balcony overlooks a pretty nice sized pool. The walk to the beach took 5 minutes so not bad at all. 2 of the rooms each have their own bathroom so our teenagers loved that they had their own bathroom. The beds were not the greatest but not bad either. For a 5 night stay there was pretty limited items there as far as detergents or shampoo etc so do plan on bringing your own stuff. Why this wasn't a 5 star for us really came down to the interaction with the Host at the Padre Island Rentals company. One day we came back to our room at 7pm to discover A/C wasn't working. We called them by 7:30 and they said HVAC guy may have left but they were going to try to get a hold of him. I checked in an hour later and they said he was on his way. Come to find out that wasn't an HVAC tech it was just a handyman who let us know maintenance was gone for the day and nothing they could do about it till next day. We asked if there was another unit we could stay in and they said no. They offered to give us a refund for one night that we have yet to see. They promised us that first thing in the morning an HVAC tech would be there to fix it. We understand stuff happens but we literally had to call every hour just to get updates and they lied to us on multiple occasions about the progress. It was finally fixed around 5pm.

Location

Good location. We got in late on the property. Check in was pretty straightforward, though you have to do it twice as there is also a resort check in (and an additional $35 per person fee), which closes early. We arrived late and the office was closed, and by the time we were checking in at the front desk at 0900 the next morning, we already had a tire lock on our vehicle, which was not ideal. The property was clean, however the mattresses were old need to be replaced. There are amenities (hair dryer, oven mitts) that are missing.

Great Place to Stay! Close to beach and friends at Margaritaville.

Place had plenty of space for 6 people. Nice decor and very comfortable. The only downside was the elevator was broken. We had to help our older family members with luggage. Wrist band cost was $20 each. I advise if only 2-3 people are going to use the pool or game room, only get that many wrist bands. No one was wearing them. Otherwise, plenty of amenities and smart TV’s in every room. You can leave the Roku at home. Items for cooking were in great shape. Wish we would have checked the closet directly across from the front door. Boogie boards, sand toys and more. Don’t pay hotel prices book this place.

Not as described

Highly disappointed, do not recommend. The place was penetrated with smell of cigarette smoke after they repeatedly explained no smoking allowed. The floors were uneven my kid tripped when walking in, the balcony was a total safety hazard as the railing was loose and unstable. There was caution tape all over the place, stained furniture and overall dirty.

Nice enough room, rough property

The space was large enough for our family which was a plus. We enjoyed the beach access gate. None of the bathrooms have fans which was weird. The cooling system was spotty (some rooms freezing while others still hot) but we did find several box fans in the closet which helped. The king bed had sunken spots which made it hard to sleep comfortably. We could hear every step and a lot of conversation from the people above us and we also heard a lot of noise from outside as well (pool guests with loud speakers). The resort property was very run down and dilapidated. All the railings on the second story were marked with caution tape and looked like they were barely hanging on. The pool area seemed very run down as well, with lots of little tiles missing and falling off when we went. We chose not to go to the pool again because one of my kids got a cut from a jagged edge where tile had come up.. kind of ridiculous to also have to pay a “resort fee” for a very unresort like experience. Overall staying here may be a fine experience for young adults who just want a get away but it had a lot of issues for it to be comfortable for a family with young kids. Unfortunately, we wouldn't stay at Gulfpoint again.

Great location, lots of space

The unit was very nice overall. Although the ceiling fan in the bedroom wasn’t working, we discovered two box fans in the closet on the last day. We also discovered some boogie boards and a beach umbrella on the last day. I guess we should have explored the closets sooner. But now we know for next time. We definitely plan to stay here again, as it was a great size and location.
