A perfect relaxing getaway

We 5-stars recommend this place. It's a cosy, beautiful cabin in a great area near quiet beaches, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The owners were also very responsive and easy to deal with. We plan to return.

Was a nice cottage. All amenities could want or need. The awesome beach was only 5 min walk away. The host Shawn was great at communicating. Always answered back right away re any questions we had. Would definitely stay again.

Beach getaway

What a lovely getaway we had. The beach is only a short walk and it absolutely stunning. Great for the whole family including dogs. The cottage was everything we were looking for and more. The host was great!

Amazing cottage

My mom and I stayed here for a week and our stay was perfect. The cottage is adorable and has everything you need, it is dog friendly as well so I was able to bring my dog with me. The neighbours are lovely, and it’s a very quiet neighbourhood! Short walk to a absolutely AMAZING beach that’s also dog friendly! We really enjoyed our stay and will for sure be booking here again!

Nice quiet neighborhood

Nice house in a great neighborhood within walking distance of a gorgeous beach. This is in a very quiet area where everything seems to close by 6 or earlier except for a couple of restaurants. This was great for us as we wanted to just relax. Shawn was very good at communicating with us.

We chose this location because it was central to family in St. Peter’s, pet-friendly and had lots of space inside. Close walk to beach. I bedroom on first floor with double bed and tall dresser. Full bathroom. TV, Bell ExpressVu, WiFi, bbq. The couches were very comfy. Second floor two bedrooms and a two piece bathroom. One of the bedrooms had double bed. The other had two double beds and one single. The linens and kitchen well stocked. We prepared a full turkey dinner with our family. We had six adults, 3 1/2 year old, 3 month old. It was cool out but we still managed to walk to the beautiful beach and enjoy the sunset. I would highly recommend Cedar Dunes Cottage for your family vacation. The owner was friendly and helpful.

We had a fantastic time!

This was an amazing experience! We stayed here with our dog to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint! It was exactly as pictured, very clean, cozy and pet friendly! A 10 minute walk from the beach and an outdoor spot to rinse our feet! We spent the whole weekend unplugged from our phones, made home cooked meals, enjoyed nature and we all had such a wonderful time. The communication was excellent, very minimal was needed because everything was very clearly marked and provided. We hope to make this an annual visit going forward! 10/10!

Try Harder

This is a nice property in a nice location that the owner appears to not want to clean. Overall the first impression is marred by the unclean washer and dryer covered with sand at the main entrance. More samples of the poor cleaning are dust balls under the living room recliner chair , small bugs in the pots and pans , a room filled with smoke from the oven due to a pool of fat under the oven bottom heat element. The upper toilet did not flush properly and this is due to a filthy sand covered tank with the valves all stuck. Not to mention it was a cold week and no instructions on how to operate the gas stove or the heat pump , both very nice units and thankfully we were able to eventually figure out how to operate. In conclusion , everything is there for a good experience except for the owners willingness to care to deliver a clean properly maintained cabin. Try Harder.

Hello Margaret, I'm so very sorry for your negative experience. We are very proud of our property and we take incredibly good care of it. As I do with every guest, I reached out immediately after check in to ensure everything was to your standards and to let you know if anything at all came up during your stay, that I would help with anything. I never once heard from you and all of your issues would have been resolved within minutes. The sand on top of the washer and dryer comes from storing the kids beach toys and beach chairs that we provide to all our guests. The instructions for the propane stove are written on the front panel, the instructions for the heat pump are in the drawer right next to the remote. Our professional cleaner has been with us for several years and this is the first time anyone has had issues with cleanliness. Should you have contacted me on day 1, I would have had the place re-cleaned immediately. Upon reading your message re: the toilet, we had a plumber in to inspect the toilet and he couldn't find anything wrong with it, except that you need to hold the handle in for the duration of the flush. It's a shame that instead of contacting me with your issues as I had indicated you do, you had yourself a 2/5 star vacation. While we take your comments to heart and will ensure instructions are more visible and the place continues to be cleaned to our guests standards, we certainly don't appreciate the rudeness in which you deliver your feedback. We have been around the island a couple of times. This was best vacation inPEI. Truly an excellent stay for us all around. Very nice location where the locals are friendly, and helpful. Fantastic beach 5 mins walk. Very peaceful . Look forward to our next stay.
