Enjoyable Stay

Property was great. Excellent location. Waking distance to beach and restaurants. Cleanliness could have been better around the deck of the pool (couch), clean under bed. Kitchen sink drain needs to be fixed. Only downside was the construction next door, cement truck, workers, etc. which generated noise. This was disappointing given the price - We were hoping to avoid this!

Great property in the heart of town

Tropical Villa was such a great house for our family trip. The property is in the heart of town, which made it easy for us to walk to the beach, restaurants and markets. We loved being able to come back to house and make a quick meal since the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. Lucy our host was beyond helpful from the time we booked the property to the day we left. She helped us book the best horseback riding adventure, made sure we were updated on the ferry schedule since we drove in from San Jose. She even sent us help when our car needed a jump on the day we were leaving. We would gladly come back and stay at this property and can not recommend it enough to other looking for a great home in Santa Teresa.

Perfect location!

Stayed her with my wife and two daughters and a friend for two weeks over Christmas and New Years. The house was absolutely perfect for us! Met all of our expectations. We chose this house for its location and the three bedrooms each with its own bathroom, and it was the exact right choice! Right in the heart of Santa Teresa. Kids could get dine freedom to explore on their own. They’re all teenagers, and were able to walk to the beach and restaurants on their own. We rented a golf cart and an ATV in addition to the car, and wound up using those two to get around the most when we wanted to explore. I highly recommend this house. Very clean. Perfect size. Amazing location. Pura vida!!!

Beautifully kept property, well managed, clean and very comfortable

We will definitely stay here again! We hated to leave yesterday! Judit and Edan are very attentive and take a lot of pride in their property. Everything worked that was supposed to (you’d be surprised how big of an issue this can be), the beds were very comfortable, sheets and towels were good quality and the daily cleaning service was a huge bonus! It’s perfect on the patio with the ceiling fans and the couch for lounging after a day of sun and surf. It’s a perfect location for everything; we didn’t need to rent a car bc if we wanted an excursion, we just got a cab. The grocery store is a stone’s throw away, perfect for when you run out of something and can just walk to get it ! The property is gated and you feel very safe and private, there’s a sense that all the surrounding houses are friends with the owners and watch out for one another; not that it’s a high crime area anyway, but we definitely felt safe. The owners were readily available to answer questions and to make sure we had what we needed to enjoy our stay. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Judit, Edan & Daisey 😀

We are a family of six with kids 12-21 and we all loved this house! The layout, the pool, the location to beach, restaurants and shops was perfect! We walked everywhere! Judit was always available and so responsive to answer any questions and help arrange taxis!

Greatest vacation ever

We enjoyed the southern Nicoya Peninsula so much. It was so beautiful and the beaches were gorgeous with the topography and clouds and waves and even the rain. We did the Zuma snorkeling tour which was great even without the snorkeling just for the views and calmer gorgeous beach alone. The bioluminescence tour wasn’t the most exciting, however it was definitely the most interesting and unique/one of a kind experience. Definitely recommend that as a lifelong memory. Ziplining was fun, especially for the kids. We also went to Playa Cuevas in Mal Pais at low tide and walked around the tide pools and saw several sea turtles swimming around us! Amazing! Lots of little crabs as well and pretty secluded. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. Always had an answer and quick as well. The streets were extremely muddy, but the house had a great water spigot to rinse off easily when we got home. Always was clean and simple. Perfect size and easy to relax with the indoor and outdoor areas. We never got the tv to work, but not sure if it was really supposed to. The wifi worked great. The house is in a pretty busy area, but is actually surprisingly quiet. We never had an issue with the noise, but it would e been nice to have been somewhere more secluded so we couldn’t hear the construction next door. It never started before 7am though and the birds were as loud as they were lol. The only minor things that were unexpected was that the pool wasnt very inviting. It was kinda dirty most the time we were there with things floating in it constantly and it was chilly. Obviously, the temperature wasnt anyone’s fault(unless they installed a heater ;), but it was a disappointment as we were counting on it for entertainment for the kids. Also, the plumbing is sloooow. I guess this is normal, which I had read, but I don’t think the master toilet ever totally flushed. So, we just started using the other ones. The kitchen sink also took an eternity to drain. This was fine for us since we were family, but if this were couples sharing, the toilet thing would’ve been pretty gross. Overall, it was a very clean, safe, quiet house with a great host. Could’ve been more secluded, but still prolly a good chance of construction somewhere as the area is growing quick.

Sunshine in Playa Santa Maria

We were a group of 6 adults a. The layout of the home is fantastic for 3 couples. Judit was available for any questions/concerns which was really helpful as our only problem was locating the property. Once we did, it was smooth sailing and we loved our stay. We also had a trip arranged to Tortuga Island. This was spectacular. Thank you Judit.

Everything was perfect.. as expected.. Judit's attention from the beginning was excellent. She was always available to help us on every doubt we had or everything we need. The property was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. The house is really comfortable and without any doubt it really has everything for a perfect stay in family or with friends.

Super Sunrise Villa

Beautiful villa run by the excellent and very helpful Judit. The little touches made a real impact - like the beer and fruit on arrival, mineral water fountain, beach towels, coffee and a juicer. Judit organised everything for us when we asked but did not get involved without being asked to. Thoroughly recommend this villa for a relaxing holiday in Santa Teresa.

Ideal

Short walk to beach and restaurants Pool was great after a day on the beach. The property is clean, safe and equipped with everything. Power went out in the whole town while we were there and man does it get dark! Pack a small flashlight just in case! I would definitely recommend this location!!!

Great spot!

We are three couples aged 30 and we absolutely loved our time here! The location is very convenient - close to restaurants, the grocery store and the beach. The accommodation was fantastic, very clean and had everything we could have needed. The host Judit was also wonderful, she was very quick to respond to any questions we had prior to booking and ensuring we had a great time before and after we arrived. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return!

Absolutely wonderful!

First, Judit (the host) was wonderful - very helpful, easy to work with and super quick to respond to any of our questions and needs (thank you Judit!). The house itself was more than we expected - comfortable, clean, no major issues, internet was great, we loved having the large TV in the living room. The kitchen has all you need and the rooms are great - we especially loved that each room had its own full bathroom. The beds were all wonderful - clean sheets, bed covers (which I especially liked) and super comfortable. The patio and pool was great - very clean which we loved. This house is VERY WELL taken care of and they have staff that comes and cleans daily - our FAVORITE was Daisy. She is the sweetest ever - very pleasant to see, friendly, helpful, and just so sweet! We loved that she would come by and keep the place clean daily - extra plus. Also, the property is very conveniently located to the main street and literally steps to the grocery store and awesome restaurants to eat at! We loved staying here and would recommend this property to anyone - family, single couples, etc staying in Santa Teresa! XO Thanks again!

Excellent Santa Teresa vacation rental

I highly recommend this vacation rental for Santa Teresa. The location is perfect, down a little quiet side road -- very quiet! -- only a 2 minute walk to the main road and the fantastic supermarket of Super Ronny 2 (which has absolutely everything you could need). To get to the beach, you walk down the main road for a couple of minutes and then down another side path (about 5 minutes total). The beach, called Brunelas, is excellent for surfing, boogie boarding, swimming, walking, jogging and just hanging out. There are good restaurants withing walking distance, and the beaches of Playa Carmen and Playa Hermosa are less than a 10-minute drive in either direction. The house is very private with fencing/walls and vegetation to shield it from the street. The design of the inner garden around the pool is very pretty. The little pool is perfect to cool off; however it could use some maintenance with missing tiles (creating sharp edges) and broken wooden deck boards in a couple of places. The large dining tables are perfect for meals, and the large lounge chairs are really comfortable ... so is the beautiful hammock! The house itself meets all of a traveler's needs with 3 comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bath (very nice!) and individual air conditioning throughout. The rain shower in the bathrooms was a really nice touch. One suggestion is that the bathrooms could do with more hooks or towel bars to hang towels; this was very lacking. And if there are more than 3 or 4 persons staying in the house (we were 6), the solar hot water heater doesn't provide enough hot water for everyone to shower ... for instance, in the evenings before we went out to dinner. This was problematic. The last 2 people to shower never had hot water. We solved it one day when the housekeeper switched the hot water system off of solar and onto the electrical grid. But it was a bit of a problem throughout our stay. I fell in love with the well-designed kitchen ... a chef's dream with big counter spaces and everything easy to use. The living room lounge area was also nice. Free Wi-Fi was great! So was the bottled water cooler. The house is very comfortable, very safe and secure, with secure parking, and quiet, friendly neighbors. Daily housekeeping (except Sundays) is an amazing luxury. It was so nice to come back to a spotless house every day after being out and about. The welcome touches of fresh chilled pineapple and cold drinks also were very nice.

Serene house in a great town

Picked this destination based on the house ( and porch) and it was not a disappointment. Nothing better than getting up at dawn and listening to the howler monkeys while on the hammock. Took our two teenagers and they loved having a room and bathroom to themselves. The town is high energy and beautiful beaches. Great food choices and additional attractions nearby.

Great place!

The house is very cute, very spacious and comfortable. It's got great location, a block a way from the main street (close to restaurants/grocery store/shops) and 3 blocks away from the beach. I stayed here with 4 friends, and we had a fantastic time. Plus the daily maid cleaning and laundry service is a really nice bonus! Judit is very accommodating and helpful, she can provide information on local activities as well as set up tours. I would definitely stay here again!

Awesome design & location

My two teenage kids and I stayed at the Sunrise Villa and loved it. We loved the design of the house and the location. When I could not not get the stove on, the owner responded quickly and sorted out the issue right away. Thank you for the welcome fruit! :-) We'll be back.
