The perfect location in the heart of Nags Head means less driving and more relaxing. Just 200 feet from Jennette's Pier! Close to fine dining, shopping and attractions. Close to Roanoke Island, home to The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama, NC Aquarium and Kill Devil Hills, sight of the First Flight and the Wright Brothers Memorial to teach everyone about the life altering event in US History. Also just minutes from a well known landmark that supposedly got its name since it was a well known horse racing spot. Spectators would climb to the highest dunes to view the races below, we now call Jockey's Ridge. Would’ve been 5 stars if the beds were better. That was the only real downside, almost all of them were very firm/hard, one had springs you could feel, and another sagged noticeably. If mattresses are important to you, just be aware.Everything else about the house was great! Our group loved the location (literally steps from Jennette’s Pier with a beautiful ocean view from the back deck), the pool, hot tub, pool table, and theater room. We lucked out with gorgeous weather in November, which made it even better. The ramp and elevator were a huge help for the seniors in our party.Food recommendations nearby:- Cahoons Market & Cottage: Don’t miss their chicken salad, egg salad, and shrimp salad, a perfect grab-and-go.- Sea Level Coffee Kitchen: Excellent spot for breakfast or lunch.

Nice Beach House

Nice beach house but elevator stopped working on Tuesday and maintenance could not come until Friday. This was an issue for us since we had family with limited mobility which is why we rented a house with an elevator. After paying so much money to rent the house, one would think maintenance would be more accessible. Nice house, great location.

The house was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The walk in showers and elevator were particularly helpful for the older guests. Teens enjoyed the amenities. The view is pretty spectacular. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.

Great Beachhouse Right on the Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had a great family vacation together. My favorite amenities were direct beach front; the swimming pool/pool deck furniture/hot tub and the extra kitchenette on the ground floor; all 3 refridgerators were used! We also used the park grills but it would be nice if the grills had lid covers which would allow the food to cook faster. The cons were the multi-levels and the fact that 1 of the 2 ocean-front bedrooms didn't have it's own en-suite bathroom; nor did it have a closet or dresser. I think it must have previously been a sitting room because it did have a fireplace. The house was clean but the carpets in the bedrooms looked stained in spots. The house had a good location as we walked to the ice cream shop across the street as well as to the souvenior shop.

Family Beach vacation

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was nice, but there was a lot of damage and items that needed to be fixed. The house was not very clean. The ceiling fans were very dusty and the baseboards had a lot of dust on them. Some of the sheets and pillow cases looked like they had not been washed.

Great location and amenities

This property is directly on the beach with easy access and lots of privacy. The pool is wonderful and hot tub is nice and relaxing after a long day. Plenty of rooms with multiple floors so easy to have an entire floor for a multi family trip. The house was available 45 minutes after we were told we could check in because of cleaning delays. Unfortunately several rooms were not cleaned sufficiently from the prior guests so additional cleaning was necessary while we were there. One of the fridges on the third floor never become cool enough to safely store food. Aside from these issues we had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay at the beach!

Disappointed

I wanted to like this house, but too many issues came with the rental. The entire downstairs smelled like strong dog urine. There were urine spots in the floors of some of the rooms. The table was sticky with drink marks where it hadn't been cleaned and the ceiling fans were caked with dust. One of the two refrigerators in the kitchen had a pile of water in the floor and didn't work the entire time we were there. The tech couldn't fix it. The sink handle was broken and the light bulb over the sink wasn't working. The tech came out to fix it, but didn't check to see if the light was working before he left. It wasn't. The pool was overflowing with water when we got there because someone has left the water running to fill it up. One of the lamps in the middle bedroom didn't even have a light bulb. The spaces between the chairs in the movie room were filthy with food etc. For the amount I paid for his house, It's very disappointing.

Beautiful location, bad mattresses

Accommodated our large, multi-generation group beautifully overall. Great theater room, and loved the view of the pier. Watched surfers and dolphins at play. The mattresses, however, are very uncomfortable. Neither fireplace worked. One bedroom has no closet, no bathroom, no bathroom on that floor to use without going into another bedroom, and also the light switch for that room is in the hallway.. that particular bedroom was not a functional bedroom at all (and one couple actually went to a nearby hotel because of that room). Wheelchair accessibility was very limited. The house is beautiful though, and we had a lovely time overall.
