Canal Home to Gulf Completely Renovated, Large Pool, come to Serenity Retreat!!!

Experience Beautiful South West Florida while staying in a tip lot Canal Pool Home that leads to the beaches and Intracoastal waters of Sunny Florida: Huge Florida/family room with a fireplace and amazing views of the backyard and water.

Serenity Retreat was completely renovated from top to bottom with brand new floors, kitchen, bathrooms, lighting, wall colors and décor to ignite your peace of mind, laid back intentions and dream of RELAXING in a coastal beach environment created for Serenity. In the quiet friendly residential neighborhood yet close to everything! We provide some beach chairs for beach days and a kayak for our guests to explore the waterway, please use them responsibly. Once you come, you'll return year after year!

Location is ideal for all: Only 3 miles to Englewood Beach, 4 miles to the famous Stump Pass Beach State Park. Short distance to numerous golf courses and the historic Dearborn Street, Englewood community Hospital, many restaurants, shopping, Englewood Sports Complex, Ann & Chuck Denver Regional Park.

FOR THE BOATERS! There are 2 bridges to the Bay. One at 7.5 feet and the other at 11 feet, average. Figure 6.5 feet low and 8.5 feet high on the lower bridge and 9.5 to 12.5 feet on the higher one with tides. Its about 1 mile to the Bay through the canals and the 2 bridges, and another 2.2 miles to Stump Pass which opens direct to the Gulf. There is free boat launch at Ainger Creek public launch on Placida Rd which is 1.4 miles from the house. We have enough space to park a trailer in the driveway at the house, and another space next to it for the car.

This was our second stay at Serenity Retreat. It's a great location, the house is in great shape and the hosts are committed to keeping it clean and modern. To prove the point, they have replaced the sea wall which is on two sides of the property. This is no small undertaking and illustrates their commitment to the property. We actually met them at our arrival in January and they are a genually fine couple. Can't say enough good thlngs about them and out stay at Serenitly Retreat!Steve

Excellent Time in Englewood

The house we stayed at was very nice. Laid out was very practical and functional. The pool was beautiful and overlooking the canal was really nice.The nighborhood was nice and very quiet. Enjoyed our month there very much.

First, but not the last, stay at Manasota Key

This was our first time in the Manasota Key area. The house was well stocked, clean, and comfortable. The location was excellent- CVS, Walmart, and Publix within half a mile. 4 beaches all within 5-10 minute drive. We caught several sailcats right from the canal and even saw 2 manatees swim by within 8 feet of us. The pool was incredible….underwater pool lighting would have been great, but we used glowsticks and made our own. Definitely would love to go back! Hidden gem :)

Serenity Retreat

My rental experience was superb! The home and amenities surpassed all of my expectations. The owners were the exceptional! We were greeted with a warm welcome and catered to throughout our whole week stay. I highly recommend this immaculate, comfortable and wonderfully decorated rental home. The owners are very kind, accommodating and most of all wanted your stay in the rental to be a wonderful experience. We will definitely rent again. GREAT LOCATION

MY HUSBAND AND I STAYED DURING OUR HOUSE HUNTING PROCESS. NICE HOME, LOVED THE POOL AREA. CLEANINESS WAS GOOD. THE LOCATION IS CLOSE TO THE BEACHES . MY ONLY DOWN FALL IS THERE WAS NO TV IN THE MASTER, BUT THATS JUST OUR PREFRENCE. ALSO, WE ARRIVED EARLY AND THE PROPERTY MANAGER HAD NO PROBLEM WITH GIVING US EARLY ACCESS TO THE HOME.

Wonderful

Everything was exactly how it looked on the listing except for the pool area which didn’t have the screen because of the storm. The host contacted me before hand to let me know that it wouldn’t be fixed in time so it was no surprise and really didn’t affect our stay at all. The pool was very nice and the house was clean, all except the floors looked like they could use a good mop or a polish. The showers had the best water pressure I’ve ever seen, it was almost too much sometimes! That was a nice bonus. The kitchen had everything we needed and all the appliances worked great. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again!

Englewood stay

Home photographs well. Shortcomings: yard is not kept up and in desperate need of maintenance. Flooring in need of super cleaning. Washer is on its way out. No dresser in primary bedroom so had to live out of suitcase for 6 weeks. Windows in need of cleaning. No table lighting in living room. Original spa in pool doesn’t work. Positive: pool is wonderful. The property has great potential but in need of maintenance and attention.

Could Have Been Better

The house was nice inside and as advertised; however, the grounds had not been cared for. The pool was enjoyable but was not serviced until the 3rd week of our stay. The pool cage was missing due to hurricane Ian. There was no umbrella and it took a week for the owner to furnish one. The grille was in disrepair. They furnished a new one but I had to assemble it. The washer failed with 1.5 weeks left on our stay and the owner suggested a laundromat instead of a repair or replacement. So with all of that it was less than expected for $11K (nonrefundable) paid a year in advance. Location is close to shopping and a short drive to beaches and restaurants which were all great. Great water pressure! Though still recovering Englewood can be a great place to vacation.

Pure BLISS!

Peaceful. Serene. Everything we needed and more. This was more than a rental. Becky and Brent are the consummate hosts, placing gracious effort and true southern hospitality into every detail. They demonstrate care at every opportunity to make your time in their space, like home. We stayed over the Easter holiday, and were welcomed by Easter baskets and personalized notes for my children. Additionally, there was also a basket with a welcome note for the adults. The home is nestled in a quiet, sleepy residential neighborhood mere minutes from shopping, beaches and nightlife. The home is decorated in a tranquil manner with expert attention to detail from the bedding to the pillows to the plush throws. The kitchen is well equipped with everything that is needed, including several small aplliances. The pool is warm, spacious and provides the ultimate in relaxation. From the moment we entered the home to the moment we left, it was pure bliss. Becky and Brent were attentive and responsive for even minor questions. An oasis of serenity, in every aspect. Thank you!!

Pros and Cons

There are Pro’s and Con’s for this rental.First the Pro’s: The house was clean and in quiet neighborhood, close to grocery store, pharmacy and Bealls. The owner was very prompt on any questions I had and let us check in an hour early, which we appreciated.The interior of the house was as pictured also clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the new pool cage. Con’s-the outside pictures are deceiving, the yard is in TERRIBLE shape. One the reasons we chose this house was because of the lovely yard that is pictured. It is not as pictured at all. The propane was empty for the gas grill and owner stated that it is a consumable product and we had to fill, which we did, no problem. The issue I have is there was no way we were going to use a whole tank during our stay, but we did want to grill out so that was our choice to pay for the tank refill. I feel this is something the owners should take care of. We have stayed in other Florida homes that are relatively close to the beach. This home did not have any beach supplies to use. That’s fine if you’re driving there but not convenient when you’re flying to destination. We purchased an umbrella, 2 beach chairs and a small cooler to use during our stay and left them there for the next renters. I wish I could give it a 5 star review.

Truly a serenity retreat!!

We were welcomed by our awesome hosts with a detailed tour of the house and a beautiful basquet with wine, cheese and goodies for the kids. They were so warm and helpful at all times. The location is great, quiet at night and morning. Nice sized, clean pool and grilling area, and the house was very clean, rooms were comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful and recently renovated, the property and hosts are a GEM!!

Lovely Family Vacation

Serenity Retreat was a fantastic stay for our family vacation. The house was clean, well-stocked, and the pool was awesome! Relaxing and quiet

My husband and I stayed with our 6 year old son. The owners were awesome, they left us a welcome basket and pool toys for our son. The neighborhood was quiet, the pool was amazing, it was close to beaches, stores and restaurants. We recommend this property to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy a wonderful vacation.

Great Getaway!!!

Beautiful home with great accommodations. Owners were very warm and welcoming ... including the amazing gift basket full of wine, goodies and a nice note. Beach was only 10 minutes away. Would definitely recommend if you want to getaway and relax.

Better than a resort

Becky and Brent work very very hard to make sure everything is perfect. It is very close to perfect. The boat ride from house to bay is a bit long but easily negotiated. The pool is very large and well kept. House is very comfortable. And located in a quiet neighborhood

Wonderful experience

Property was located perfectly on a corner lot. Had my 3 year old and felt very comfortable with the distance the house was from the sea wall. House was supplied with everything you would need. Definitely felt like it was home away from home. Me and my family will definitely make this our go to place when we stay in englewood!!
